Got this call from an Indian named "Thomas".  I work with Indian Engineers daily, I know the accent. He asked to talk to the owner of the windows computer....sure, I'll play.  I'm in IT, I was curious to what this scam was about..I played dumb. He asked that it was very importanat I get in front of my computer so he can guide me to ensure it was not infected. Standing no where near my PC, I said ok.  What would you like me to do?  I told him my PC was secure. He demanded to know in what manner it was secure...I rambled off all the software.  NO he says! You must provide me your credit card information so I can ensure your windows computer is not infected.  I asked how my credit card would ensure this...he got pissed an his voice elevated even more...now, now 'Thomas'  He asked if I was the owner again..I said yes.  You must provide me your credit card information before I can help you, he says. I threw my cards on the table.  I stated I work for a very large bank, in IT, in Security...he yelled something and hung up !  HA !  F'ing idiots...that was fun !

Got a call they were trying to tell me not to turn on my computer because it is infected.  I asked him to tell me what kind of computer I had and he got upset and told me that I had a computer with windows 8 and that it was infected.  I told him, I don't do business this way, and for them not to call me again.  He got upset again and told me that Windows was infected and not to turn on my computer - I told him that I would take my computer in myself - he got even louder and told me that that they would not know what to do - that THEY were the authorized technicians.  I told  him again that I would take care of it myself - he yelled at me not to turn my computer on.  Idiots.  Total scam.

Foreign accent.  Lots of noise in background.  Said his name was Sam and he wanted to know about my computer.  He wanted to speak to the main user of the computer.  I told him I didn't have one.  It took a while to convince him.  I just read about this scam within the last week.  They tell you your computer is infected and then want you to enter your credit card number.  Don't answer it or hang up - unless you're good at playing along and wasting their time.

"TOLL FREE" on the caller ID for this number. I called back. Woman answered "hello" multiple times. I didn't say anything. In the background were several other voices carrying on lively discussions. Woman switched to another language (Creole?) while apparently speaking to supervisor or co-workers and hung up.
