Man with hurried voice said a FINAL person to win SUV & Ford Explorer to call 877-287-7637 ext. O ASAP. At end left name BILL. Didn't know my name! Has a weird voice and phone pitch. Trying to sound like a professional but the Conman rings through! ID number not a match. When called, got an answering machine that sounded even more like a Conman. I had filled our a slip at a mall in front of a Macy's in MA. That is how they got my name. Won't do THAT anymore!

A person that sounded very much like Uncle Fester left a message and told me it would be in my best interest to call back as soon as possible. Supposedly my name was pulled as a finalist to win a Ford Exploere or Lincoln Navigator. I can't see how this is above board since he didn't address me by name and didn't reveal any other detals about how he got my contact info. Has to be some kind of scam...

I just received a message about winning a Lincoln Navigator or Ford Explorer.

I also just filed a complaint with the FCC - do not call means do not call.  I hate these telemarketers they are nothing but low life scum bags that cannot earn a respectable living.

I love the 2 positive posts, I am guessing a plant by the company that leaves the message.

I had two messages, a few days apart.  The first from this number about winning a car.  Exactly the same as other people wrote.   The next message was about the danger of heart attacks, and signing up for medical tests.  I knew the voice was the same.  The number they both said to call was 877-287-7637.  Sounds like someone is branching out.

They recently changed their pitch.  Now they say you wont a free heart scan.  Same 877 287-7637 number.  This pitch is for the older people.  I guess the younger ones still get the free Ford Explorer pitch.  Bottom line: this is a boiler room operation, and they'll say anything.

Yeah, "Doug Lite" has a freaky voice.  When he said I was a finalist to possibly win a Navigator or Explorer, I knew it was a hoax.  I used to work in advertising and when we made a call to a winner, it was always for a specific prize.  Furthermore, we identified the company we were working for.  Too bad we have too many lawyers in this country, low lifes like these should be sent away for at least a decade.  Especiallly when they target the elderly.

Also, If you attened the time share, please give any details so they can be passed on to the FCC. Perhaps they will visit them and bust them there.

I received a call just like everyone else, and i would have to say i was skeptical at first, but when doug told me the entry could have been submitted as far back as a year ago, i was like a year ago!, shoot i can barely remember what i did a month ago yet alone a year, so maybe i did. So he told me i was guaranteed a prize and all i had to do was be present, i'd get to listen to a presentation on the company(Global travel)and then i would scratch off for my prize. That"s exactly how it happened to. Even though i won the trip, i enjoyed the presentation, i didnt have to buy anything like he promised, and me and my fiancee plan on taking a couple of vacation days next month, so we can go to cancun or lasvegas, since we havent been in over 20 years. And we only have to pay taxes and a refundable deposit of $50, where else can you go pay less than $200 for 2 people to go to vegas or cacun? No where! I definitely plan on using global travel in the future!

Yes i received a call bout being a finalist, called back spoke to dave, he verified my entry form, told me i was guaranteed 1 of 4 prizes, went over to the company(sunshine promotions)walked away with the 3day vacation to puerta vallarta, already sent in my refundable deposit, me and spouse scheduled to take vacation nxt week, plan on enjoyn ourselves! P.S- when you take the vacation its your time to do what you want, you dont have to go listen to a timeshare! I"ve done this a couple of times within the past 5 years and never once did i have to view a timeshare when i won and took the trip. Dont listen to these idiots!, half of them never ever been to a promotional giveaway, they just received a call and because they are so skeptical, everything is a scam! What a bunch of losers! More prizes for those who like to try their luck!

That dudes voice is freekily weird.

typical timeshare presentation pitch. The vacations have all sorts of blackout dates , fees, taxes, and you have to buy your own travel to and from the accomidations a lot of times.

I never filled out an entry, I know that for a fact, but they try to convince you that you did.

I was thinking they may have gotten an entry from a survey I had filled out online, but now that I think about it, I had given a fake phone # when I registered.

Got a call from 708-679-1526 (Caller ID) from Doug Liht on 2/20/09, same as above messages, with same message about winning the Ford Explorer or Lincoln Navigator. Called back (1-877-287-7637, the # they left) and talked to Sam Keys who said we needed to be at a presentation the next day (2/21/09) in Washington DC and would win either one of the cars (or equivalent cash), or a 3 night trip to either Cancun, Orlando, or Las Vegas, or a 32" TV or $2500. Same deal- said we had filled out an entry form that we didn't fill out. He said he represented Sunshine Travel, and gave us a code number that he said was from our entry form. He said we'd need to fill out an entry form and bring 2 forms of ID (Drivers' license and credit card). If we won the trip and didn't want to take it within the alloted 12 months, we could sell it (but we had to accept it if we won it). There was to be a drawing to determine winners from some scratch off we'd do at the door. I asked what info was needed on the registration form and he said the same stuff as on the entry form, which made no sense, and included the amount of our income which I always leave blank on surveys and stuff. He called a 2nd time from 708-679-1884. I did a reverse lookkup on the two 708 numbers (from caller-ID) and they were from Illinois - one belonging to W. Schmidt and the other to G. Maze. So I did an internet search on rip-offs and Sunshine Travel, and got quite an education. The travel group is one I'd never want to deal with from what I'd read - too much to go into here, but pretty unethical behavior. There were also a lot of Cancun and Orlando entries. So not going to their seminar was a smart move.

This is a typical timeshare promotion. You'll win the vacation for two and they'll make you nuts again with another timeshare presentation while you're at the vacation you won which just happens to be the timeshare they're promoting. Of course, if you like timeshares ....

Received mgs from 877-287-7637 x0 - called the number for giggles - spoke to Dunkin Stevens - he basically told me I won 1 of 4 pizes - ranging from a Ford Explorer or 25k in cash, $2,500 in cash, a 3 day/ 2 nite vacation for 2, or a colour tv.  He stated I needed to go to Country Inn Suites in Phoenix tomorrow at 2pm for a "presention" - which is being held by "Goodtimes Travel"
He then provided a Claim # that I would need to claim the prize.  Not sure if hoax or not - as I will not be attending....fyi

I just got the call last night to call Doug Light at the same number: 877-708-2920 to claim my SUV.  Apparently this has been going on for a while and I don't understand why the FCC hasn't busted them.  I'm going to fill out the FCC complaint form and encourage anyone else to as well.

I got the same message indicating I had been selected as a finalist to win either a Ford Explorer or Lincoln Navigator and it was in my best interest to call back Dough Light at 1-877-708-2920. I called back and got a woman who said her associate had called but was not in-she needed my  name and then she could help me. Since they had not used my name I told her to search via my phone number and she said she needed my  name. I said it all sounded fishy and she hung up on me.
