who called

I got a call again from this number, only this time someone was there. It was Comcast's customer support, calling to confirm my subscription cancellation. I have no idea why they hung up all those other times...

On phone with Comcast now..They have no idea about this number but lady is taking care of it for me..Sometimes you get lucky and find someone who cares.  Hopefully calls will stop now.

just called their customer service. one guy said he would take care of it. when i asked how, he admitted that the calls were from comcast. he will remove my phone number from their list.

I got two calls from this number. No message. Tried to call. Always busy. I also cancelled Comcast this week.

What is this, the last poke in the ribs from this horrible company??? Canceled Comcast yesterday due to about 6 months of BS and arguing with them over the simplest things (i.e. internet is out and still receiving charges, installer scratching furniture and walls during installation, general bad customer service when calling). I too received "phantom call" today -- no message left. All I can say is thank God for Grand Central (heart Google's Grand Central phone service) and the wonderful Block Caller function!!!

Same here, cancelled Comcast 3 days ago and the phantom calls started the next day, feels to me like harassment for cancelling. Caller ID just shows the number, no company name.  I called Comcast and asked them to take my phone number off of their automated phone system

This number is Comcast. I cancelled my service with them last week and have gotten 7 calls from this number since then. Call comcast and ask to have yourself taken off their list

Missed call, didn't feel my phone vibrating. I cancelled my Comcast service a couple of days ago and then I received this missed call (no voicemail left). Going off of the other posts, I'm assuming this number is related to Comcast in some way...

When I called the number back, it said that the "number was disconnected."

To answer your question, no Do Not Call does not mean that they cannot call you. The DNC registry was created so telemarketers and other companies can't solicit you for their services. You were with Comcast and cancelled the service, so they were probably calling to confirm. Going off of the other posts, it appears that their automated system has a bug of some sort. In short, they're ok to call you for service-related issues, but not sales...

okay I cancelled Comcast service on Saturday, but not before I talked to a couple of C/S reps who were anything but Customer Service oritented.

My question is, if I have my number registered with Do Not Call, how come they get to call? Doesn't Do Not Call mean Do Not Call?

Second day in a row I've gotten called by this number.  Yesterday I answered and they immediately hung up.  Today I did not answer and no message was left.  I too cancelled my comcast cable this past Friday...

recieved a missed call day after canceling comcast service

I just got a call from this number too (no VM), and I too cancelled Comcast just yesterday. Is this some weird bug in their auto-call system? If it persists, I will call the main number, as previously described.

If you call it back it is just a recording confirming your cancellation.

Cancelled Comcast two days ago and have received three calls, no answer (once) and no message (twice).  Why bother answering?  Stored in my cell as Do Not Answer.

I called this number back and there is an option to get them to not call you in the future. I'm not really sure if it works though.

When I looked up this number online, I chanced on this page.

Might be  a coincidence but I canceled Comcast service on Friday afternoon and got a call today at appx. 8:30 on the first business day after the holiday weekend.  They hung up when I answered.

i cancelled Comcast this past monday.  now received calls two days in a row from this number.  i haven't answered them.

same thing here.  I just cancelled my comcast service this past friday and got the first call today.  If it continues I will call and have them remove my number.
