These people are a bunch of idiots. They call and harass people 8-10 times a day!!! (even if you tell them they have the wrong number) They are rude and threatening. I guess they don't know how many times they can call someone before it becomes harassment.. Doesn't get them anywhere if they threaten. The people who owe money to Capital One and other credit cards would be smart to tell these idiots from AIC and other agencies to stuff it.. and pay Captial One directly..that way AIC doesn't get paid for their harassment of people. I am going to report their antics right now. I'm sick of this crap...

Getting very vague messages from these people. They do not identify themselves, do not state who they are attempting to reach, and do not say why they are calling. I checked them out on the BBB site and there is an alert posted regarding an undertaking in Alberta. They got fined $20,000.00 as they admitted to violating collection practices.

Additional information: I have found that the company is breaking at least two laws in Alberta and no doubt similar laws exist in other provinces. They have continued to call after being informed that it was the wrong number (violation #1); and they have failed to identify who they are in any communications despite a requirement that they use the name that is shown on their license in all contacts and correspondence related to their collection activities (violation #2).

If they are calling you in error and continue to do so after being informed that you are not the person, I suggest that you contact this person and formally notify them verbally and in writing that you are not the correct person and to stop calling. If they fail to stop, contact the provincial consumer affairs or fair trading office and lodge a formal complaint and/or lodge a complaint of harassment.

They keep calling for someone who does not exist - it is not someone who previously had the number because I have had the number for 14 years. I have told them that the person is not here, and have now advised them if they continue calling despite this, I will deal with it as a matter of harassment.
I had a similar problem 20 some years ago and they started calling me at work. I called back and gave them an uiltimatum - call me within the hour and confirm that I will get no more calls after that, or the next call they get will be from my lawyer. I was called back 45 minutes later, received apologies and never heard from them again.
In this country (Canada) there are laws dealing with how even collection agencies can operate.
I suggest that anyone reading this who works for a company using this collection agency consider whether they want to be associated a company which exhibits this type of behaviour.

LOLOLOLOL.....this post was by a collector. You should NEVER call and discuss anything. It resets the statute of limitations if you have not previously reached it. My advice is to NEVER call back or make any statement that attaches you to the over due account. You are the one who does or DOES NOT give these people/agencies power. I choose to NEVER give them power. I don't answer calls even PRIVATE calls and never acknowledge any of the communication attempts. Who cares.....too busy with life. :)

These people have been calling my cell phone and clogging up my voicemail. When I called them they responded they are looking for someone that I don't even know, then they hung up on me. I called back again and they were extremely rude. Whatever company is using this collection agency is doing their customers a real disservice, not to mention potential customers. I would love to know what companies use this collection agency so I can make a mental note to NEVER do business with them.

These guys were calling me about an account that was real old.
You can't expect me to pay for something from 5 years ago!!!
I tried talking to them but they didn't seem to get it.
I googled their company name "Global Credit" and found their website.
I sent a request to stop bugging me. A manager called me back a couple days
later and told me they were closing my account.

they used a 905 as a call ID number, leave a message to call back an 877-295-9639 ,
called back and they are a collection agency trying to contact the previous owner of my recent cell number.

They had called using Caller ID number, 1 330 232 2010 and left this 877 number as a call-back. I called back...to find that it was Global....a NEW 877 number for them......add it to your list.
