A better course of action,from my experience is to hire an fdcpa attorney & sue them.  He is actually a lawyer but is using illegal tactics to collect a debt.  FDCPA attorneys usually take case for no fee and get their money from any settlement.  The key is documnet document document.  I won a judgement from this scumbag and HE had to pay and erase the debt & I got almost 2 grand on top.

This address 1001 State Suite 1400, Erie Pa is the Moody Law Offices (814)464-9464,  and not Anthony H Rodriquez. This scam artist Anthony H Rodriquez is using this address as a front to look like a legit Law Office.  I contacted the Moody Law Office and they said they are not affiliated with Anthony H Rodriquez.  Check for yourself at http://www.moodylawoffices.com or call them.

Whatever you do, please do not give them any money or give them your checking account and credit card.  This is a big scam.  These people got your information through the payday loan company or companies. What they did was paid the payday loan company for this information, and now they are acting like they are legit.  First off they have to send you documentation in the mail and show you the debt that you owe and the company that you owe. Which they won't because they are a scam. These scammers are also using fake numbers that's hard to trace.  They are from Canada acting like they are in the US.

Can I report these people to an agency to get them to stop.  If you know, thanks for your help.

I just received a call from someone stating they were a law firm and were given an affidavit yesterday to go to court.  He said they would be serving me at work between Wed. and Friday and gave me a phone number to call and a reference number.  Does anyone know where to report this so it will stop.  I cannot have this company harassing me at work.  I believe I do owe on a payday loan that I got and can not repay.

The number is for the law office of AHR which is Anthony H. Rodriques it is a debt collection agency. Contact info is 1001 State street Suite 1400 Erie PA.16501. as to the validity that it is truly an attorney I don't know there are a lot of collection agencies that act like they are attorneys when they are not which is a violation of the FDCPA. as is telling you that you are going to be served a summons with no intention of doing so however my understanding is if they can find someone (pay) in your state and county to serve the actual papers to you and appear on their behalf that is all that is needed.

Yah I received a call from them also saying they were a Law Firm and that I will be served on Monday to make sure I am around either home or office so they can serve me and have my ID ready for verification.  That I was bein summoned to court.
