I also received calls from this number and I agree that it is Assurance Wireless "AKA Virgin Mobile" I had their service but I let it run out cause I don't need it any longer. Apparently they don't want me to loose the free service, or their account with me.

I get this number all the time. Never leave message and it gets so annoying! v I also don't answer numbers I do not know because of family issues.

Apparently Assurance Wireless is a Virgin Mobile company. I have never been a customer of either Assurance or Virgin Mobile and do not have a lifeline phone (nor do I need one). I have emailed them at the address below to ask them to stop calling and will update this post if I hear back. To be honest, I've never listened to the whole message, so I don't know if they leave contact info on the call or not. Even if they did, I would not call it back. Seems way too much like Spam or Phishing to me.

It's a reminder call from Assurance Wireless, regarding renewal of a Safelink/Assurance cell phone. I have one which is about to expire and I have received a couple calls within the past week. It has to be renewed once a year to keep the service, which is free to qualified subscribers and provides 250 free minutes per month for as long as you qualify.
In addition, if you have an Assurance phone, you are supposed to call them on the cell phone to renew.
However, I do wonder why the number doesn't show on my Caller ID that it's Assurance instead of displaying "Unavailable" Curious.

freaking call every night at the same time, never leave voice mail which is good, but very anoying.
