same deal. they left a message supposedly from EPG re: being served and i called right back and was given a voicemail left by the same lady's voice. called this morning from work and familiar voice actually answered. i questioned her re: the message left and only gave her my name. she said there was no record of my name and she claimed "we're a reputable company and never get calls like this". I questioned why they called me then and where their company was from. she claimed they were from Pomona. i could not find a damn thing on this. i was just surprised they answered. don't know what they're phishing for but i'd like to get them somehow.

Just got a very similar message left on my phone.  Said they had papers and were going to file them with the court.  They had my last name wrong and said that I should call them in a timely manner, that it was very serious and that if I didn't they would proceed with filing papers with the court.  I have no idea who they are, but I'm not calling back.  They didn't leave a company name, either.

I don't know who they are but they just left me a message threatening to serve me with court papers at my home. stated they traced my employer (i don't work) and said it was "in my best interest to return their call". They left a return phone number and a reference number but no names of the company.

I just got two phone calls from this number and I didn't answer so they left a message both times. It was the same exact message from the same lady (apparently unable to read a simple name off of a piece of paper) but the first one was for me and the second message was for someone that I don't even know. In both messages they stated our names, our addresses, said they have traced my employer and are going to serve me court papers from the clerks court and that it would be in my best interest to call them back. As far as I know I have nothing I can be sued for and have not received any warning letters in the mail from bill collectors but this still scared me. I'm feeling better about it now that I've read these other comments so hopefully it really is just a scam or something. Oh and also they did not leave a name for the company they were representing, just a reference number and I have no plans of calling them back.

I also received a call from this # , they called my old employer from 15 years ago and said they were going to serve me at the house I sold over 23 years ago. I received a second call that mentioned my father in law who passed away in 1993. Not sure what there angle is. They just left messages at all three places. I went on google with the # and saw all the comments so I decided to post mine.
DON'T CALL THEM BACK.

I wish I knew how to find these people. Got another call from a woman this morning telling me they tried to come by my work and serve me papers. Funny thing is I work in a small office and I see anyone who comes in and our HR Dept. consists of one person who never got a call like they said they did. I am just going to keep playing their game and going off on them until they finally give up and move on to the next unlucky person. I hope they are found and dealt with like they should be. I believe what comes around goes around and they will be found someday. Until then stay safe and trust no one.

I've been getting several calls at my parents home and my internet phone number. Basically same as everyone else been saying. Also my dead grandpa got a call just like this at my parents house too. I know I haven't done anything that calls for any sort of legal action. I'm kinda curious what it is and what they want from me. Any ideas?

Landlord called said this number called her said they were looking for my husband said they been to my home several times with a court summons? I'm home 24 / 7 just about and my son.. Gave her the phone number for us to call and case number?tslk to a mr. Robert and he hung up on me when I ask got their address.. Mad they gave my land lord that much info under texas law u can't do that .. Who is this?

They just called my elderly grandmother and bout gave her a heart attack telling her I will be going to jail due to a lawsuit!! HOW CAN WE STOP THIS?

Some guy called me at my work number and told me he was hired by EPG to serve me some paperwork for an appearance in court.I told him I didn't know what the heck he was talking about and then he gave me a reference number and a phone number to call. When I did the guy on the other line said he could help me with the ref. number and then put me on hold. I waited about 2 min. then hung up. I figure if the ref. number was legit then they wouldn't have put me on hold for so long. Glad I decided to Google this number. Now I see just how serious this is. I wish these people would find better things to do with their time then to try and scam innocent people. I would love to find out who does this and have a little talk with them and introduce them to my Beretta "persuader" to try and do better in life! Good luck people. Life's an adventure sometimes!!!!

I too rec'd a call giving me a phone #, (877) 300-3534.  A female calling couldn't even pronounce my last
name which is easy to pronounce, said I was being served at my property, that if I don't call the number
back they will take the matter to court.  Threw me off cuz I have nothing outstanding to be dragged to court
for.  I'm glad I looked up the # & found other people have gotten similar calls.

My mom received a phone call by someone looking for me, the person told me to call the said number with a reference number, when I called the number I was automatically put on hold afterwards a man talking rather rapidly told me I was being served and if I could confirm my SS# I told him I wasn't comfortable doing that without knowing exact details at this point he became irate telling me I was wasting his time and he even repeated my SS# to me without me telling him what it was, after I kept asking for details about this matter he simply hung up on me.

My mom got a message for me in our voice mail,I called the number,before I got a chance to google it,like I usually do with 800 or877 numbers I don't recognize.So I called it and it rang forevere, some girl picked up without any company greeting,I asked who this number was and she said drs did you get a call,I said yes,quickly put me on hold,I  counted to 5 then I hung up.I

My wife got a call very similar situation

Josh is an idiot with no moral dignity. He called me asking for someone I don't know and said that my name was given as a reference. He outright lied to me and had no problem what-so-ever doing so. I explained to him that I am a victim of identity fraud and am very concerned and need to know what this is about, he hung up on me. I called back and another man said that it was about a legal matter which terrified me even more. Finally after calling back about 20 times, a lady did admit to me that they were just cold calling anyone in the same area with the same last name. Immoral business practice. The dept. manager, Carey Sanders, was very rude when I told her of my complaint, looks like she endorses the practice in causing fear in people in order to collect debt.
Just ignore these calls and hang up. Waste of time. Will be filing a harassment suit and we will see who has the last word.
