I also recieved the exact same call but the number they left to call was 866-737-4709.  My caller called not only my cell phone, but also my house phone and left the message but they were calling Ramona Irene Johnson, whom I have never heard of, and that she had now been officially notified.   I was told to call the Marion County Circuit Court at that number and give a six digit reference number, so I called to let them know that they had not contacted the right person.  These people said they could see my correct full name as well as my daughters name, who hasn't lived at home for 25 years.  They said they would take my numbers off.  I just can't figure out what they are trying to accomplish.  I called the actual Marion Circuit Court number and was told these numbers were not any kind of numbers that they use.  My call was transfered to the prosecuters office, and they will be handling this problem. I just want to know what they are trying to accomplish with this.

I got threatening call call from EPG Active Litigations, and they are also calling all my family members, They have wrong person information with my phone member and my family phone numbers, There provided me the office number # 855-329-7126, we should take legal action against fake debt collectors, please let me know where we can report this issue

I received a call from a number 855-795-8984 asking for my husband claiming that he was going to be summoned so I asked what it was in reference to. They told me it was a private matter an could not release information.
I asked then why was I contacted? They said we know your his wife??!!!??? How did they know that??!! My name never changed and we have only been married a few years. I should've known when I called the first time and they hung up on me its either a scam or collections agency. This should be illegal!!!! How can they harrass you in such a manner and family members too.

Yes! File complaints and don't fall for their scam! Keep a record of the calls, if they leave voice keep them. The friends, family and boss also!  You may not be able to stop them, but let them know the jig is up and your on to them!

I got a call from EPG Litigation  yesterday. They said that I was being sued and would be served papers the next day at my work. They also called my work and spoke to several people there telling them that they were named on this lawsuit. VERY EMBARRASSING! I believed them until I googled them and read these comments! Now I am wondering how I get them to take me off their list so they stop hassling me. The number they have been calling me from is 909-456-1888. They also had a lot of information on me including my old address from 20 years ago. Does anyone have any advice?

Just got a call from EPG. Very angry people took three calls to get EPG out of them said they were sending papers to be signed for by either my wife and. I they said they did not have a signature on file.this seems like a scam to get information to steal identitie s..I will be calling attorney general office to file a complaint

I keep getting these calls too.  I finally picked up the phone and they were calling for one of my family members who didn't live with me.  This is my private cell number and I have no idea how they got it and they wouldn't tell me at first.  They told me to call this number (909-456-1873) to let them know that this was not his information.  I spoke to my husband and we agreed it wasn't my responsibility to get this information for them. So I never called.  I kept getting more phone calls.  Sometimes three in a row.  So I finally answer the blocked number and they said that they will be serving papers to my address for a man who doesn't even live here.  I told them i am not taking anything from them and they said I will have to tell the person serving the papers that and they hung up on me.  

So I finally called the number they had given me to let them know I wasn't the person they were looking for and the man was very rude.  He actually yelled at me and told me I absolutely HAVE to give him any information I have about the person they were looking or that I have to give HIM their number and info.  I told them no and now they say they are going to subpoena me!  What should I do?  I know I am NOT accepting anything from anyone for anyone else.  Even if they are family is it suddenly my responsibility to make sure they have his current information?

I keep getting calls from EPG Active Litigation but from different numbers.  They are calling to reach someone else and never mention my name.  No matter how many times I ask them to delete my number from the referenced account, they hang up on me.  This is extremely annoying!

We have had numerous calls in the past couple of weeks ..exact same messages, leaving a case # to refer to....We will report to the Atty General of Washington

EPA Group also uses the business name "Private Processing". It's a scam.

I got same call from EPG Litigation saying they were attempting to serve me. Family members also got letters in mail and calls saying I was going to get sued. I think they are trying to steal persons identity or trying to take money from people. This is the dumbest way I have ever heard of trying to do this by scaring people.

I am filing a complaint with the TX and CA Attorney Generals office, i suggest you all do the same.

The voicemail system calls themselves EPA Group.  When called, they refuse to give out any information.

Wont disclose the address, etc.  Claim to be in "Southern California".

I have several recordings of them being abusive, name calling, etc.  I got the same message via family members, (funny, ive lived here or years, why dont they just mail me something), saying to call with a "case number" and to call in to get the court date.

Its just another scam.

Just got this same phone call a few hours ago. This is the message, word for word (as best as I could understand it): "This message is gonna' be intended directly for [name, last name]. You've been contacted because I have documentation being issued to you through the court's office. We've got a ......[muffled words].....If you have any questions or concerns regarding what the particulars are, concerning the information being issued, I recommend that you contact ....[muffled name]....at the toll free number 1-877-301-2045 in reference following number ####. There's no......[more muffled words]....verified, and the information will be issued accordingly. Thank you. Take care.

I immediately Googled that number and came across this thread. Thank you all for posting. It all sounds like a giant scam.

This number left a message at my home saying that papers will be filed at the circuit court, to find out more info call this number and refer to case number...when my husband called them back they said his sister listed him as next of kin and gave up his info. We don't even speak to this sister so my husband snapped out and the man recited my husbands full name, date of birth, and his social security number. So we are freaking out now wondering if it is I'd theft or who we should contact to protect ourselves!!

Just had this happen to us yesterday! I got called 7 times and the # came up "unknown". They left voicemails twice and stated what the reference and case # was but never really stated who they were. When I called them back today, they answered by saying "law office" and saying they were going to sue me and serve papers to me. Then my dad got a call and so did my father in law. They also started looking for my husband. Whoever this company is, is a pain in the a**!!

This just happened to me about 3 hrs ago.  He had all my information he said he would be recording the phone call, started yelling at me, was sarcastis and rude.  He ended up hanging up on me.  I guess he was just angry with himself  I could not get a word in at all.  Who do we report these people to.  Collection agency or not, they need to be reported.

I called the number they left with the ref #. The guy had all my info. The company is ETAG acvording yo yhe lady I asked before she transferred me to the guy. I didnt give them any info but he had sll mine.  So dince I moved ill be damned if I give them my new address.  So the guy said im being sued and that I supposedly received court orders but I didn't.  I went off on the guy. I was a bi*** on the phone cause he was rude and ignorant as well. But supposedly im going to be served papers to my old address.  LoL! These people can kiss my a**!! Im sure they are nothing more than a collection agency. Cause any collection agency will tell you anything to get their money and the other companies money. Owell...

Told me to call toll free regarding a claim

Someone called my cell from Unknown #, I didn't answer, they called right back from an Unavailable #, (thought it was my sister so I answered).  The person asked is so and so (a person by name) was here. I said I don't know that name but who's calling (something networking he said) I said what's this in reference to they said paper's were going to be served).  I said I didn't know who they were then they asked if my address was ***** I said NO (because I had no idea who this person was).  I said put me on your do not call list they said this isn't that type of number and so your address is this. I said no it's not and they said someone will be out to serve papers to that address tomorrow. I screamed at the guy no one better come to my house and serve anything you want to serve papers to a person who does not live here you can't he said yes we can! I hung up on him.  The b*****d called me right back then my husband got on the phone and wasn't happy at all. He said why are you calling the guy said to say Hi!, My husband said no you're not and told the guy anyone comes to my house he was calling the cops and coming out armed!  Don't call my wife back and the guy hung up.

The next day my husband get's a call on his work phone and they left a message with a case # for my husband and said he needed to call back or he was going to be served with papers from the clerks office if he didn't.  He called back and they asked for the person they were looking for the night before. SO THEY LIED and made it sound like it was for my husband which it wasn't!  Once again looking for this so called other person.  The only thing my husband had in common was the first name.  My husband said we don't know the person and don't call my wife's cell or my work # again and take our info out of your system.

I looked the number up it said it was a telemarker # from India.  That's why even if you're on the National Do Not Call List they can still call you because they're International Telemarketer #'s!

I was so worried that they were phising for info to sabotage our credit that I immediately signed my husband and I up for LifeLock!

I also called the District Attorney's Office, the Attorney General's Office and the FBI and reported these people.

I called back today to tell them that and asked what the name of their company was. They answer Corporation something.  WHAT BUSINESS ANSWERS LIKE THAT?!!!  NONE!!!  I said what's your business name, she said EPG Active Litigation in California and they have lawyers all through the US.  I looked it up - THERE IS NO COMPANY BY THAT NAME ANYWHERE!
