I just recently began getting calls from this number. I miss it almost everytime, so the number just shows up as a missed call. I called it back once to see what it was, and the answering machine said sprint. I hung up as soon as a rep named 'Theresa' answered. She did sound like a black lady, like the last commenter said. Before I checked it out online and saw all of the responses, I thought that maybe it WAS sprint, seeing as I did just add a new service to my phone recently. I thought it was strange that they would be calling ME though, seeing as I am not the account holder on my families plan. Thanks to all the comments here, I know that isn't true. I'll just keep ignoring the call!

Got a call from this number, 877-304-6446.....claiming to be Sprint. If it was Sprint, they would have KNOWN my name and account number automatically, before calling me, and not ask for it. Usually, I get text messages from Sprint.....not a toll-free number call. I refused to give any private info and the lady hung up on me. I called Sprint and reported it. The agent said that the number was NOT a Sprint/Nextel number and that he was going to report the number to the FCC. Don't know what good it will do, but at least I told Sprint about this BS.

Just answered this. Sprint asking how the service was and if I had any problems. Told me about the Samsung Instinct, "A phone just like the iPhone". $129 after a $100 mail in rebate. It was tough to understand the woman.

I received a call on my cell phone about 20 minutes ago from this number. I don't take calls from numbers I don't recognize, so I pressed END. I figure if I press END the next 20 times they call me, that should probably have gotten the point across. If not, I'll just go to Plan B (...that's where I answer the phone and pretend that I have somewhat less than all of my mental faculties. Works every time.)

I also received a call from them.  Didn't answer, but called them back.  The guy said it was a "courtesy" call to see if I was happy with my service.  I told him no, and said I was considering switching over to AT&T in a few weeks.  He then told me, "Okay, thanks for using Sprint and have yourself a nice day."

So wait...a courtesy call to see if I'm happy with my service, and I told you no.  I would have at least expected him to ask me why I wasn't happy?

I have been getting calls several times a day now from this number and and haven't answered it at all. If I don't recognize a number I'm not expecting, I won't answer. So this is very frustrating.

Sprint calls you so you pick up, each time you pick up, its a nice little dime in Sprint's pocket... Costs less for them to make the calls.. way to rack up minutes on phones..

These calls are from SPRINT. I got TWO of them today, and the second one was about 6 hours after I called back the first time and requested that I do not recieve solicitation calls! Then the stupi prick gets indignant with me and tells me in a snotty tone that it may take 30 days to remove me from the "dialer". I said what? I am not supposed to be getting ANY solicitation calls. This moron says "we are just calling to see if you are happy with your service, etc". I said I was until today when I started getting harrassed by idiots! Then I hung up on him after telling him, "one more "courtesy call" and I go back to Verizon! F***ing idiots. The person this morning on the first call spilled the beans. They are trying to sell blackberries, of course with a new 2 year contract! I am not currently on a contract! I guess that's the idea! They want to "trap" more people! No thanks. This goes to www.RipOffReport.com tonight.

I have been getting a call twice a day from this number.  I do not answer it as I am in work.  I have no idea why they would be calling twice a day.  I have talked to sprint before, and know that this is not one of their numbers.  This needs to stop!!

I received the same call and complained because it sounded suspicious. When I actually called Sprint customer service, she said they hadn't called me for months, so she referred me to email dan@sprint.com. This is what I received back after emailing them:

"Thank you for contacting Sprint with your concerns.

We appreciate you writing to Sprint with your concerns. The number you
are referring too is our Customer Life Cycle department. That line is
not a scam. This department offers customer special offers such as early
phone upgrades, credits or discounts (if they are available). If the
account is not eligible for special offers then the call is just a
courtesy call to make sure you do not have any issues that need to be
resolved. That is why the representative had asked for your Sprint
mobile number.

I apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. If you could
please reply back with your Sprint mobile number or Sprint account
number I would be happy to see if you were eligible for special offers.

Thank you for choosing Sprint.

Sincerely,
Erin S.
Sprint
(757) 223-3289"

So I don't know how the lady informed me that they hadn't call me, but I guess that is a Sprint number.

They have called 3 times this week, including in the middle of an important meeting. I hit the mute button to shut it up and didn't answer. So from other posts they seem to be posing as Sprint / Nextel. I just added them into my contacts as "Fraud Sprint" so I know not to answer.

I received a bunch of calls from this number.  Finally decided to answer it while I was at work one day.  They offered me a $50 credit for renewing a 2 year contract.  Considering I had renewed my 2 year contract only about a month ago, I figured, "Why not?"

So free $50 for me.... your mileage may vary.

Also, they didn't ask for any account information and knew my current account balance without asking any questions, so I would be careful as people may be trying to spoof this number to collect information on you.

I have been receiving these calls on my Sprint cell phone over the past several days as well.  I logged on to the Sprint website and contacted a customer care representative on their chat line.  I was told that this is a valid Sprint number and the calls are part of their Customer Care Life Cycle to determine their customer's satisfaction with Sprint.  Given the description of some of the calls you have to wonder if this program is effective.

Sprint doesn't care about their customers enough to deal with this situation that has lasted for over a year and a half?

I was unsure if I wanted renew my contract and buy a new phone or not. After reading this I must say thanks to Sprint, you have made my decision much easier.

Got the same call today on my phone.  I generally let all toll-free numbers go to voice mail if I'm not expecting to hear from a business.

The last commenter has it right.  Bye Sprint!  Not only is their customer service poor, but I went from full signal at home for a year and a half, to switching between barely any signal and roaming constantly for the last six months.  So happy that the contract expires soon.  Going back to T-Mobile where I had no issues.

this was a call from sprint as many have verified. I am so amazed at the amount of people that swear it is a scam, this isn't a conspiracy theory. if you just answer the call then they will move on to the next number and you can sleep peacefully. trust me I was getting annoyed my self, but I didn't hide from it. I called the number a guy answered, no "african woman", and I haven't had a call since.

Called them from landline - answered as Sprint - asked me if I had any issues with service and then said I would get 50 extra minutes since I called.  They didn't ask for ss# - only my pin - which maybe I should change just in case.
