I actually didn't get the call. My sister did saying they were looking for me. No idea how they got her number since if her number wasn't in my phone I would not know her number. She called me asking who they were and now I am just as pickled. Completely rude to her and everything. It was weird because they were calling about a survey and I am apart of a survey right now. Only thing is the survey is a local and they would have a local number. Very confusing. Going to tell her to be herself in her over obnoxious way. If they call you again scare them. Just say "It is done. Send in the cleaning crew there is blood everywhere." Bet they will stop calling you then!

The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities and companies with preexisting business relationships, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list  is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.  There are lots of call blockers that have a MUCH greater capacity than 20-30 numbers!

Fortunately, I didn't take this call - I had the ringer turned off for a business call on another phone. Unfortunately, my "call block" list is already full of OTHER idiots like this.  Someone needs to make a phone with unlimited blocking capacity. 20-30 numbers simply isn't enough when the gov't doesn't honor the federal DNC list.  We have been on it for years and still get the same calls over and over, even though we've reported them several times.

They are calling to see what the best time for telemarketers to call and get an answer. They then sell this info.

The caller cals and then Dont answer when I say hello, very annoying!

Never got these calls until I added my number to the do not call registry... I think someone's taking that list and using it to make calls.  How unfortunate no one is able to stop them.

Me, called at 7:35 pm. No message, just the "toll free service" on caller ID. No message. Will wait to block if it gets annoying.
So when is this darn government going to honor the DNC list. What a waste of time and energy. I never answer a # I do not recognize.

First called at 4:30p 4/29/2014.  I let it ring while I Googled the number which brought me to this site.  I didn't answer, no message left.  It rang again at 8:04p, I answered with hello, a few seconds passed before a pleasant female voice said, "Yes...", and the line went dead.  I will now block the number.

This is an annoying telemarketer
