I received a call from Coyne Trace Services as well.  I have been paying them for a debt I owed to Check N Go.  The contact person's name is Jeff at ext. 313 and the phone number I have been calling is 877-781-3003  I have spoken to a Mike as well.  These people sound very convincing and threatening.  I complied with them because I did not want to get into any trouble.  What a sucker I have been. I will be reporting this to Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's Office.

This gentleman called one of my children last week, saying he was a process server and was looking for me on behalf of a James Coyne.  I don't know Mr. Coyne and I don't any process server named Joe Romero.  I returned the call to the following phone number: 1-877-318-0959, left a message telling them that they had the wrong person.  Today I get a call from a gentleman named John Brown (interesting don't ya think), and he left the following number: 1-877-781-3003.  He never said the name of the company, and ended his call by telling me, "you have been officially notified!" I immediately went online and was amazed at the comments.  It's a SCAM and I am not paying a dime to anyone!!!!!

If you know that you do NOT owe this money, DO NOT PAY IT!!!  File a complaint with the FBI, and let them handle it.  Do NOT be intimidated by these people!  This is my 3rd go round with this type of fraud and each time, I called their bluff, and filed a complaint with my local FBI office.

Coyne Trace Services is not a legitimate service.  Don't pay these people and certainly don't give out your bank information over the phone ever!  These guys are kind of funny though.  They are very professional in their demeanor but it's still the same old same old.  By the way, I received a call from them just today and they said they were sending a process server to my house.  I asked that they provide me proof of a debt as I did not recognize the name of the company they said they represented.  Corey from Coyne Trace refused.  Shortly after, my husband received a call from a Mike Watson, process server who said he was coming to my house to serve me and/or arrest me.  My husband asked him for a phone number so I could call Mr. Watson back and the only number he would give was back to the collection agency.  If you really want to entertain yourself, google Mike Watson, collections or process server.  This company has operated under many names with Mike Watson the process server who has many different accents etc.  I called our local police to ask if I had a warrant and told them Mike Watson was coming to arrest me or serve me papers.  They said they had gotten several calls just like mine recently and to just ignore them.  Don't get upset and don't give them your banking information!

I did a reverse phone lookup on "coyne" after getting a call from them. The number they called from shows up under another name. And the only information I can find is that they are a security service company... Very odd since they said I would go to jail if I didnt pay them. They also stated that they were a firm, sounded more to me like a call center.

Same here, I had 5 missed calls from a blocked number within under 5 mins. When I finally answered it, a man named Joe Romero started off saying that there were 2 charges being filed against me. He never said who he was, what county, the company he represented nor who he/or his firm was calling on behalf of. He only mentioned a "case" number (RG*****599) and that if I didn't call the 877-228-5844 within an hour then he would have to move on with the paperwork. By the time I got to the office, I had a new voice mail with him saying he hasn't heard anything from (I'm assuming Coyne Trace) and that he had spoken with my work's HR department on serving me papers then ended the voice mail with "the best of luck to you".

I received a call from the Oregon Attorney General's office after I had filed a complaint with them.  The AAG confirmed this is a complete scam operating out of another company.  DON'T give them any information. File a complaint with your state attorney general. DON'T let these fools con you!

This is FRAUD do not give them any money. I have contacted the Federal Trade Commission  and also placed a FBI report. If you do some serious research you will find that this is against the law. I know for sure here in Texas. They have called and threaten to come on my job and serve me papers. No one can do that but a constable. This type of case has to be filed in  Civil Court, and you would have been notified by the court. No one will waist time with this. They have told my co-workers I committed check fraud and have totally embarrassed me. So now I'm fighting back. When you know your laws you can do that.
