They offer a plan for long-distance calls on behalf of CAA. The attempt to sell is pretty aggressive, but the reps are polite.

The plan itself is nothing special, you can find much better options these days.

i reported i t to caa last yr 3013 several times,as my  number is restricted  never gave it out to caa or any  one ,only family has it..caa lady stated she would take care of it and make sure  8773160789 never called again  ,remove  from list. she said she didnt know anything about this number in  french, she too thought it was strange a french voice automated number calling.asked her about special offers she said was  none and didnt know about this number calling members of road side. and now  2014 getting call may/june  none stop. french.  all  computerized in french voice  i  dont live in quebec.. my city is english english comes first.e  before f a before f either way english is  first..
they  dont remove you cause if they did i wouldnt be reporting it again this yr..

I dont  know. my number isnt published ,never has been,it is restricted. only family have it. there is no live person when u call it ,its still french.i press zero and all  buttons trying to find out who this i s but its all automated message voice in french. i live in ontario not quebec. my city is english.the phone is  not a toy when you cal l someone you speak english and your a real human  being not a computer, i have called caa and they stated to me it was  not them they dont have any special offers, asked how they got  my number when i  never gave it to them.its the same  number that called me last year.. hum,,, very fishy...im on the do  not call list ,it is active ,i dont get  telermarketer calls  unti lmay/june  this yr. hum..  who the hell is  this and what do they want ,why dont they speak in english in a voice from a real human being.are they  cowards ?is that why they cant talk english and be a real human person?  reported to  do not call  list..stop with the calls.. i  dont know you

Called today and left no message.  If its a long distance plan, then I'm not interested and the last time someone called about that, I told them to remove me from their lists.

I'm in the habit of Googling numbers fast before I pick up my phone, when it's convenient. In this case it was.

Ok, so I pickup the call as a matter of humoring myself - I'm a CAAPremier member, I genuinely wanted to know why on earth CAA would be calling, let alone what would they offer me? She starts out saying she's calling from "EMS on behalf of CAA". It was very scripted. I asked her what EMS was, it's "Equinox Marketing Services" ... so I let her spiel on a bit more on the script as I am sitting here googling a bit further. Long story short they are offering you a long distance plan, and it'll work with your current phone provider!

Most annoyingly the above experience implies that CAA is at a minimum "sharing" client information (our information!) with their friends.

Thanks, yes that did the trick, I called and they give you the opportunity to remove your phone # from their list!  thank you for this suggestion! much appreciated...now if we could do this for the duct cleaning a*** holes, we'd be good to go!

Send an email to CAA and tell them not to use your personal data.   I also called the number back to remove my number and I blocked them.  I would also suggest that CAA is in jeopardy of losing your business if they do not respect your wishe

You may be receiving these calls if you are a CAA member. If you are and have registered with them online, go to their website and login. At the top left, after you login, you will see a menu headed MyAccount. At the bottom of this click on "marketing permissions". On this page you can select/deselect whether you want to receive offers via telemarketing, direct mail, and/or email.

I kept receiving these annoying calls. It didn't help to call back. This is what worked: go to CAA webs site and login using your credentials. Then go to following link and turn Telemarketing option off:

Don't tell us how you use long distance,tell CAA,we don't care

They have called here a few times.  I called the number back and followed the instructions to be removed from their list.  We shall see if it works.

Trying to sell something

Yes, it is a call from a CAA Partner. Simply call your CAA office (I'd suggest the main office # on their website), confirm your CAA membership info, and they will remove your number from their call lists. Very pleasant, easy to do.
I was told that my number would be removed (placed on their "do not call" list) within 24 hours.

For those posts above that keep requesting them to remove your #, posting such requests on forums like this will do nothing. This is simply a place for the call recipients to look up who the call is from. This is not monitored by CAA, their partners, nor any other agency/number that may be calling you.

Called here too. Multiple times.

Will be making a complaint with the CRTC and calling CAA head office, telling them of their ongoing harassment.

Call the 877 number back.. it is a 3rd party calling on Behalf of CAA.. listen to the message that comes on and atthe end it tells youhow to remove your number fom their list.

I gave her the run around telling her I dont have a landline and she said well how am I calling you? I said you have landline dont you? I told her I dont have any long distant services and no local services with no celphone
And then told her this is my father landline and that was it she said sorru. And then I went into the bedroom push *7# then enter the number in and then # again and I said take that you SOB's you're blocked wahahaha

Call Blocker really works and it cheeses them off.

This definitely is CAA calling. I picked up the phone but did not respond for a few minutes. Asked her how she liked dead air? I also asked why they keep calling but won't leave a message. I was told they are not allowed to leave a message.??? I told her I did not want anymore calls. Got a BS story of how it takes up to 31days to be taken off of their list. BS!!! I've contacted CAA several times but did not even get the courtesy of a response. Waiting to hear back from my MP and MPP.. We should not have to tolerate this.

If it's a shutter company, tell them sure. Give me an estimate. When they show up, tell them you've changed your mind. OR, .......... tell them that they could not have called you because you are on the do not call list!  Wasting their time will get you off of their call list pretty quick

Don't type it here. Get all over your MP's a***.  The only way we have found to deal with them is with call display and an answering machine and do not pick up if you don't know who's calling. The CRTC will do nothing. They're basically full of shiite.

This number is calling every day around 1:30pm.

CAA calling trying to sell long distance phone service.  They really didn't understand - I don't make long distance phone calls.  I use the internet to communicate long distance.

answer the call and tell that the person they are looking for is dead!
