My debt is from 7 yrs ago! I had switched to Alberta energy and 3 weeks later my first bill was more than doubled! I called to cancel was told $500 said ok send a final bill and it was $2600 for 3 weeks! Refused to pay, now these idiots at FDR are calling daily! They called today and I exploded I'm pissed off! Please anyone in Alberta if Alberta energy comes to your door slam it in their face!

Have been searching for accommodation in Hawaii for an upcoming vacation via various search engines such as Expedia and Bookings.  They must be selling information to resorts. This number is supposed to be associated with Royal Kona Resort on the Island of Hawaii.  So much for "We will not sell your information ... "

Bought a phone with call block feature and it delivers a busy signal to them and hangs up after first ring.  Person they are looking for does not live hear so this call block feature allows me to not have to deal with these clowns.

I called Peel police just to see if anyone has called on this guy, Most likely not in Canada.Told me to go to RCMP fraud web site.

I get calls from this number daily, and have been for some time.

I totally agree with your comment, I've been getting the same no. every day calling our home around the dinner hour and I'm Sick Of It! This must stop . Maybe if enough complaints are heard bell canada will put a stop to them ? When has bell ever helped us?

My husband's cell phone gets about 2 calls a day from these people - he looks at the call display and when he doesn't recognize the number, he doesn't answer (I'm the only person who calls him on his cell; no other legitimate caller - such as family, friends or doctors have our cell phone numbers).
They also leave pre-recorded messages which he doesn't know how to check on his phone. (I erase all messages on his phone about once a month)
I just looked up the number; apparently a debt-collection service or something.
Funny thing is, we have 0 debt. No mortgage, no car payments, no credit cards, nothing.
I'm going to be blocking this number from his cell now that we know what it is.

Called the number 877-316-7404 and actually spoke to someone.  It is a debt collection agency and I kindly asked that my number be removed from their contact list.  Hopefully this resolves the 2-3 calls I get every day from them.....

It's a robo call from someone calling themselves FDR limited. They literally call me every week day (glad to see con artists still take weekends off) saying I have until tomorrow at 10am to call them back.  If they were actually a credit agency they'd give the name of the debt owner and not just use a generic message, this has scam written all over it, they probably just call thousands of people a day in the hopes they get a few people with outstanding debts who will give them money thinking they're paying off what they owe.  I've already reported them to the RCMP anti-fraud division and blocked about 5 of their numbers but they just keep changing their number.

File a complaint with Consumer Complaints in your province, send a cease and desist to the company... They know the rules they just dont think ppl will know them enough to do anything.......  READ THE BOOK  The Wolf at your front door.... its amazing

they wont stop calling trust me.. they do NOT know the collection laws of canada.... calling more than 3 times a week is illegal.... and RCMP consider it harrassment even if its automated. They try to gt around it by blaming a machine.....trying to pin me for a bank account overdrawn by 2,000 over 7 years ago.

Calls 3 or 4 times a day. Have ignored them for a couple months or more. Finally answered. Dead air. Apparently saying hello twice is what works. Asked me for so and so and I said nobody here by that name. Hung up. Will continue to do so until they quit calling.

I get same. Tried to call back....automated machine, can't leave message or anything.  Bill on my cell charge  $17.00.  I'm mad.

number showed up on my cell phone too, I've blocked it every way I know how, they still get through. Pissed.

Received that company's calls few time a day, they have some different phone numbers, 877-316-7404 is most recently, sometime they (from machine) will leave a message asked you to call back with a reference number they provided, sometime is a person leave you an "very important message", make you feel that is "Urgent and Important". I try to deal with them but it doesn't work, only received kind of rude; impolite and annoying. Now I give up to "stop" them to call me, because I can't find a way is work! Just choose to "ignore" instead. So sad!

just got a new phone and not even some family members even have the new number yet i got a call twice today from these guys and both times it was a message telling me to call another number with a refrence number by a certain time

I agree while the guy I just spoke to was polite. He could not help me on a because he could not find my Number in there system. while the person was nice how can they not find my number they call me 3 or 4 times a day!

Multiple calls to my CELL phone - started April 12, 2013 and 2 or 3 calls per day - nobody replies if the phone is answered, and no voice mails left - just a major annoyance.

I also forgot to mention that usually to get your number deleted you're going to have to talk to a boss anyway. The people that call usually say 'oh yeah, i'll delete it right away' but they never do. This is why you have to get to the 'boss' of the people you're talking to to actually get your number deleted. If they're harassing you feel free to harass them back, especially if they got the wrong number or the person they've looking for doesn't even live there. Also, whoever you talk to, be SURE to get their name. Personally I ask for their name as soon as they start talking.

I've been dealing with creditors for the past 6 years. I owe nothing personally, my uncle and cousin keep giving out my # and address and as the place where they live. Having dealt with them for this long I know for a fact that any calls they make or any calls they receive are recorded. I suggest that you call up the FDR office and ask to talk to a "boss." Tell them the exact time you received the call and when you tried to get the # deleted you received a rude reply. I've had this happen to me before, asked for my # to be deleted and got a rude response. I called the office, talked to a boss and got those people in 'trouble.' Do it.

I ended up calling FDR's office and placing a compliant as well as being removed from their calling list.

I have to say they were very polite and understanding on that end.

Called and asked for a Corina, when I explained they had the wrong number and asked to be removed from the list the person calling requested to ask me a few questions. When I said no, he said "Fine then, keep getting calls. Enjoy the phone calls" and hung up on me. I can't believe how rude they can be.
