Same message here. Scam I think
Rob 2011-06-06 21:04:17 Unknown
I also have received the same spam text from different FCU (Bridgeway and DOT). I have reported the calls to donotcall.gov as my phone is listed on it. I suggest you add your cell number to there as well and report them when they call. The more complaints DNC gets the more apt they are to do something to stop them.

Joe 2011-06-06 21:04:17 Unknown
Text with no number just said my ATM card has been suspended and to call the number in the message claiming to be Bridgeway Federal Credit Union. I called the number back just to see what would happen and it was a crappy sounding automated voice asking me to reactivate my ATM card. I hung up after that I'm assuming they wanted my debit card #.

2 calls from MsgID5_2B7TVQZF@v.w regarding non-existent card with Bridgeway FCU (which we don't belong to) being deactivated with return #877-514-5982. No phone number registered, looks like they are using the Verizon Wireless site to type in messages in order to avoid being traced.

I just received a text from Bridgeview FCU. I also live in the 845 area code and have an accounts with Verizon and Key Bank. Definately a scam.

Also in the 845 area code and received the same text yesterday. Just curious what cell provider everyone has? I have Sprint and get nothing but scam calls and odd text messages ever since the day I activated my account, never had this problem with Verizon.

I live in the 845 area code for my landline, but my cell is a 914. I received the same text and when I called it just asked to to enter my atm card info, which I did not give. These people should be strung up by their balls.

they called our empire too with these texts. If we knew where these dirty scammers were hiding, we would send the Death Star to their homeworld to blow them out of the sky.

My area code also is 845 and I also use Key Bank. I hope information hasn't been compromised.

Out of curiosity, what are your area codes? Mine is 845. These posts are popping up really fast. Something is up!

Colin 2009-09-27 16:04:46 Unknown
I just got the same text message. I googled the bank and there is a FCU in Poughkeepsie, NY where I used to live. I called the 877# on the website and its non-working. Then I googled the 877# and found this website. I do NOT have an account with this Credit Union.
birdie 2009-09-27 15:28:24 Unknown
I do not have an account with this bank. FRAUD!!
Birdie 2009-09-27 15:27:29 Unknown
I got a call from this number telling me to call right away because my atm card has been deactivated. I called the number just to see and it tells me to press 1 to reactive and 2 to leave.
