I got my full credit report by mail..they did not ask me for anyother info but I'm so happy to see my credit is now in the high 600s from all 3

i too recieved letter saying Experian recieved a request that my free credit report be mailed to me,wanted all my info, yes it was on experian letterhead, letter was prepared same date as Tom Jones ??? anyone else get this letter in the mail ? said i coud go online to www.annualcreditreport.com or call 877-322-8228 or send personal info by mail to Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281 Atlanta, GA 30348-5281. I wonder WHO made the request as I certianly didn't.

I received a letter stating that I had requested a credit report and they wanted to confirm who I was. The letter contained this number to call - the letter was on Experian Letterhead. They asked me to provide my full name, Social Security number, date of birth, etc etc. I ignored the letter.

Do not give them any information. This fraudulent company is called ACS (or they may use ACS Law Firm, Loan Point, Bernstein and Assoc., Brown and Associates). It is a scam and they will attempt to get you to pay the money via threats of jail or court. They call from hundreds of numbers and use very common names such as Johnson, Taylor, Smith, Cooper, Anderson, etc. They will not give you any info about their company. File complaints with the FBI, FTC, and Attorney General for your state. The FBI has information on their fraud page regarding this scam. They also may have information about your relatives including names and phone numbers and contact them. Do not entertain their calls. They may lay off for a period of time but will call again. They have very personal info about people such as name, DOB, SSN, address and DL#. Appears they have hacked into something, stolen the information or stumbled upon it somehow. Check out "ACS scam" on the internet.
