I want to know who sold them my phone number
Shelly 2010-11-26 23:03:19 Unknown
I am getting the same thing from jpm-esf@jpm.com(which is no such website). I have one of those safelink phones and i have been getting 10 an hour for the past 3hrs. I am getting charged 30 cents each time i open the message so i haven't opened the last 20 messages. I need to find someway to report this ASAP. I also see a number 425-906-4698. I tried to call the number but it just has a busy signal.

I have received an e-mail from this account : JPM_EFS@myaccount.com about recent activity on my account And told ,me to call this no : 1-866-963-7879
I have called the above no 1-866-963-7879 , this phone no has been disconnected , hopefully they don't stole my phone no to call long distance

Yes.
Call Chase and tell them what happened. Use the number on your card or on a recent statement. Ask them what to do. They'll probably suggest you get a new card.
Should I be worried 2010-05-09 21:58:45 Unknown
So I got this text, and I was a bit suspicious. So I called the number, then entered my card number (doh), but hung up when they asked for the expiration date. They don't have the pin or card number, but should I call Chase and ask for a new card?
Received call to activate my card. I do 2010-05-09 02:51:19 Unknown
Received txt MSG to call 877-318-7191 About recent activity on my card. I call and it tells me to enter my card# to activate my card. I don't have a chase card.

Does anyone have any useful information to provide besides just saying " I just got the same text message BLAH BLAH BLAH.."? What a waste of time reading all your posts. Here's another useless one.

Amanda 2010-05-09 02:08:27 Unknown

Im calling my bank tomorrow to make sure my account is okay
Rubes 2010-05-09 01:50:53 Unknown
I just got the same message and I'm on T-Mobile also. The number I received was 1.877.311.6609
Kara 2010-05-09 01:20:32 Unknown
My husband and I are both TMobile customers and we get these stupid alert messages all the time. I figured it was a scan but I am glad that I read your posts on here to see that they really are! Thanks.
shawn 2010-05-09 00:07:37 Unknown
I just received this text message and have received some like it in the past. I am also a T-Mobile customer.
A L 2010-04-23 00:32:13 Unknown

F.C.C. covers broadcasters, radio, T.V., etc.
(Federal Communications Commission.)
I reported this number and the potential scam to my State Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission.
missy 2010-03-17 22:12:27 Unknown
I got the same texct message two weekends in a row. But I was smart enough not to enter my card number. It's a shame that Chase Bank can not locate who is doing this.
Dario 2010-03-14 05:02:09 Unknown
I filled a complain on the FCC website. I have received this text message twice.
I assumed that stopping this people has to be somewhat easy! I hope!
Tammy 2010-03-11 20:20:43 Unknown
I forwarded the text details to the official chase bank abuse department, and copied the scamster's email address, so they know they're being reported to the company they're trying to mimic.
Tammy 2010-03-11 20:19:04 Unknown
I went to the official chase website and forwarded the text message details to their abuse department. I also cc'd the scamster's email, so they would know that the chase abuse team has been notified.

You are correct about t-mobile. They do not care what is let thru to your phone number because they make money (Profit) on both ends.
Harvie 2010-03-11 19:30:24 Unknown
Received same text. I never received these stupid texts until I changed to t-mobile for texting.
Any time you receive a text from xxx_xxx with a four digit prefix and @ t-mobile or chase bank it is a scam for sure.
rainy 2010-03-08 17:43:24 Unknown
First I received a text from 3855 JPM_EFS@myaccount.chase.com/JP Morgan Chase & Co. saying to call 877-330-2548. When I called it's an electronic voice saying my account has restrictions then asks me for my visa number.
Well I do have a chase account but not a Visa. I called Chase to double check and alert them to the scam but they hem and hawed before admitting they knew about this scam. Nice that they do not post anything on the banking internet page warning clients or that it took me a good ten minutes to get out of them that they knew about it already. Personally I think Chase is as bad as the scammers. Glad i'm closing my banking with them.

I got a text msg from this stupid Alert scam. I don't even have any chase accounts. So i decided not to reply or call that number. Be carefull with these scams!!!!!!!!!!
txet 2010-03-08 07:44:18 Unknown
Mine's 4765 - same message - asking for credit card number, expiration date and pin.. so cunning.
sophie 2010-03-08 05:37:18 Unknown
Yes, I am a t-mobile customer and I got it too. Thanks everyone for letting us know of the scam.
tmobile sucks 2010-03-08 03:13:22 Unknown
Yes, I recently switched to t-mobile and they are horrible with letting stuff like this through.
BillyBob 2010-03-08 02:52:08 Unknown
I just received this text too and knew right away it was a scam. I've gotten these before. I am t-mobile customer and wanted to know if anyone who has received these is a tmobile customer too. I've had a lot of issues with them recently.
Do your part 2010-03-08 02:37:14 SMS
I received the same thing, and had to check it out first since I'm a Chase customer. Phishing has begun to move to text messages: http://news.cnet.com/8301-27080_3-10286268-245.html?tag=untagged
So, don't be surprised to see more of the same to your phone.
But don't just delete it, there are a number of places you can (and should) report phishing:
http://www.us-cert.gov/nav/report_phishing.html
http://www.fbi.gov/cyberinvest/escams.htm
http://www.fightidentitytheft.com/phishing-scams.html
...to name a few.
Do your part. If these scumbags get caught the won't be texting you again.
moni 2010-03-08 02:24:12 Unknown
