It is the nAtional Rifle Assoc.  I called the number back after weeks of calls.  You must enter 1 and 3 quickly in order to get removal request.  As others have said you enter your phone number and confirm..  I hope it works.

It's definitely National Rifle Association. I'm a life member of NRA and financial supporter but they are getting really bothersome with junk mail and phone calls. I know they need money for lobby efforts etc but they are pushing a bit too much with a membership that wants to be left alone.

These idiots call every day. Most times I just let the answering machine take it, sometimes I hit talk andend. The reason I say they are idiots, you would think after a while they would get the message that I'm not going to answer the phone.

The number is likely not the NRA itself, but belongs to whomever conducts the survey for them. They probably conduct surveys for other groups as well.

I am getting these calls every day sometimes twice a day.  No answer ever left on machine.  From all the reports on various sites, it's an abuse and needs to have intervention.

It's not the NRA because if it was them it would come up as it's coming from Virginia, but it comes up as unknown. I really only know this due to I'm a NRA member and I get calls from them every now and then. So not NRA it's just some d***hit that calls then hangs up.

I am also a member (proud of it!) of the National Rifle Association. This number doesn't show up on any of their directories. Maybe it is a calling service on their behalf that doesn't know phone etiquette. Oh, and it calls my cell phone only and the NRA doesn't have my cell #. Weird.

This is not the National Rifle Association.  It's a bill collector called the National Recovery Associates.  I've been a member of the National Rifle Association for several many years and they don't even call me unless I leave word for a call-back.

If the "Recovery" folks are calling your number, it's because they're looking for someone who owes money.  It could be you, a family member or someone who has used your address and telephone number for credit in the past.

You can file a customer complaint at "FCC.gov" if they become obnoxious.

I understand the frustration but instead of venting on this site email the NRA it might make a difference for a lot of folks.
