I had the same issue(s) with this number. Kept getting a call (sometimes 2+) each day. I finally answered and no answer at the other end. Then when I called this number, I got the T-Mobile ring tone.
I finally called 611 number and complained about the call. The customer service rep put me on hold and dialed the number herself. Her explanation is that it's coming form the marketing department. I requested to opt me out from these calls and she did. Not sure if that would help.

Called yesterday and didn't leave VM. Strange because they called my prepaid cell phone and I don't give it out.

They've been calling me repeatedly for the past week - usually mid-afternoon.

I received three calls from this number in the last two days. No messages were left on my voice mail. If the courtesy of a message cannot be left, then I will not answer the number in the future. This type of call is rude, and I do not owe the mystery caller the courtesy of answering.

I've gotten a call from this number every morning for the past week. I picked up once and there was silence in the other line... What is this??
Capted 2011-12-30 17:21:17 Unknown

Just got another call from this number. Got one near the end of last month, too. Didn't answer or call back then, don't intend to now. If T-Mobile wants to contact me, they can do it via the mail--and so far, I've seen nothing in any of my bills about wanting to give me $5 off of anything. This has got to be a scam.

Stop this caller from calling cell phones
j chang 2011-12-24 02:35:24 Unknown

My mistake: Those calls were on my cell.

To those who say calls from 877-335-8969 are from T-Mobile -- I got two such calls but not on my cell; they were on my land line. Would a legit T Mobile call come in on any phone other than my cell?
bugg 2011-12-22 01:03:54 Unknown
Got a call on 11/3, 11/7, 11/14, 11/18 & 12/21 (twice). Those are just the missed calls I haven't deleted. I don't answer, and they don't leave a message. Guess I'll call TMO tomorrow to see what they have to say.

It is T-mobile. If you have an account with them, they use this number to do upgrades and sell new products

Love this!

I called the number back on my home phone got a machine that said t mobile placed me on hold then disconnected so I called t mobile business number and they confirmed IT IS NOT them or one of their numbers and is a scam. They advise not to give any info.

I've been getting random calls from these people for months now. Based on what I've read here, I am 100% sure it's a scam. This group has procured a gigantic list of T-Mobile customers (not difficult to do in this day and age)... Who knows what other information they have? Your email address? Where you shop? Where you do your banking?? These scammers don't need ALL of your information, just some! Think about it: Maybe you've lost your password before. If you've ever tried to gain access to some of your accounts over the phone, you should know that customer service often asks for the last 4 digits of your social to verify your identity and grant you access (retrieve your password, etc, etc). There are MANY things a scammer can do with this info!!! Never give ANY information over the phone. Hopefully these scammers will be shut down or arrested very soon.

I received a call from this number last week and again a moment ago. I was reading some of your comments...some say they are legit and some not... When I answered the phone, it was a hang-up. If it was legitimate business, then why hang up? This doesn't set well with me. I think I may be close to cancelling my T-Mobile contract.....

Got the Call, have had phone long enough that if a name is not associated with it, I do not answer. If it is t-mobile, they can send me a text message or email. DO NOT give out any information.
Linda 2011-11-02 22:03:57 Unknown
Just got a call from this number. They asked for my T-oibile password and I denied them. Called 611 and T-Mobile reported it was NOT THEM calling and that while they do have surveys for satisfaction they would NEVER ask for personal information over the phone. Sent to fraud department. SCAM.
MRSV 2011-11-01 19:45:44 Unknown
Got a call from this number this afternoon; no voicemail. Based on what I've read here, I plan to wait for them to get tired of my voicemail, rather than pick up so they can scam me. Thanks.
Rob 2011-10-31 20:58:21 Unknown
When I answered, there was no response.

I dOn't have tmobile I never have had a tmobile acct' I'm with AT&T and have been for about 5 years. So why do they keep.calling me?
Mlatzke 2011-10-10 21:57:07 Unknown
Don't answer it. It's either a scam or Tmobile trying to sell you something. If it were an important call that prompted a response from you in any way, they'd leave a voice mail.
