I recieved a call stating that I wrote a bad check on line for a pay day a loan and that I committed fraud I laughed because I have not had a pay day loan and I am a police Officer and if i had a federal case open I would be a first to know. Then the guy hung up and left me a nasty voicemail talking about you can keep playing games and laughing cause you will have to play games and laugh in front of a judge and I hope you have a good lawyer. I was like dummy stop calling.

A bunch of a**holes who are trying to get money from you. You don't own any dept, you don't have anything to do with them, they just call even after you tell them many times to stop calling or to send you proof.

Report them to the FBI tip page as extortionists and hopefully they'll have enough people complaining about them that they actually do something.

Report them to the FTC, BBB, General Attorney, FBI and Local Police Department. It's worth it, they should be stopped and jailed.

They don't ever send any written proof, they have nothing on you, they know information but nothing about them is legitimate.

I received a call from a mrs. zirpola nd she told me that i had been contacted because of a bad check for a loan that I did online?! Ive paid these ppl 413.00 nd now I feel dumb cuz I asked for receipts nd paer work mailed to me they never sent anything? Nd the lady couldnt really give me info on anything.. They call and it comes up unknown.. Now it all makes sense they even threatend me on taking me to court nd prosecuting me...omg how am I able to get my money back?! Can anyone help me

Federal Recoveries is a collection agency scam... They calling folks up to collect money then the pocket the money they scam (lol). Don’t give these jackazz anything but grief.
They don't have anything to do with recovering money from banks or loans.

Received a call from a Michael Tilmey (not sure if spelling is correct) stating they had a civil complaint from a check that was bad in 2006. They were attempting to "Forbear service and process"...the thing that bothered me a bit is there is an actual Civil Case in that county against me that was "dismissed-restitution paid" in 2006, so why is this Federal Recoveries office calling me now, 5 years later in regards to that case? I don't like taking any chances with garnishments and all that crap so not sure what to do in this matter!

Just got a call from them on my Google phone #. This is the transcript of the call:

"Good Evening, this is Ms. Brown. I'm calling in regards to documents that are being forwarded in 24 hours on behalf of federal recovery. The SEB (or something - hard to hear) provided the opportunity to respond prior to the formal notification. You can reach either Mr. Brianna Dear Mr. Moses at 1(877) 338-2151 and when calling, please use the ID number is 75189. Thank you."

I called back via my Google phone number (hides my real one) and they did not want to give me any details and arrogantly kept asking me for my name and more info. Got the strong impression they were scammers and simply hung up.

I got a cll from Bill Moses stating that i owe 1500 for a loan that was only 650.00 from what bill is stating. I filled a chapter 13 than a Chapter 7 trying to save my home back in 2007. I lost everything back than and now this is comming up after I file a bankrucpty with my bank including how wrong can this be. Bill Moses call back is 877-338-2151. You will reach him directly. When I ask to speak with a supv. he stated i was a loser and no one would talk to me there. This is just wrong and the gov needs to correct this right away. Thanks have a Blessed day.

I received a message from Federal Recoveries by the a man named Mr. Stafford from the office on 01102010 and  they stated they received a complaint about fraud and someone is using my social security number and my address. They said if I don't hear back from you I'll start processing in Anoka County! Good Luck with that.

A caller from Federal Recoveries called and stated that they had recieved a complaint against my sister for fraudlent activity on her bank account at River City Bank. I told him that my sister doesnt now and hasnt had a bank account for several years (more like a decade). I asked him for his title in which he replied Processing Manager, and I told him that I worked for a law enforcement agency and that I was familiar with the various investigations departments. He gave me the phone number of 1-877-338-2151. When he called it came up on my caller ID as unknown number. I called my sister, and was informed that no she did not have and has not had an account the the bank that the man stated she had one with in a very long time. I telephoned the man back, and told him to remove my name from his list and to not call me ever again. His reply was that he cannot remove my name unless my sister calls him and he then started to become very rude. I told him once again which department I worked for and that I was very aware that he could take my name off his call  list. He questioned my duties at my particular department in which I replied you have no idea what I do. He then hung up.

Today they have called me from the 281-668-7967, Mr. Moses told me they were putting a charge through on my account, for something that is not my debt. Funny yesterday they said they were from NY and this number is a land line in Texas... BTW I canceled all my credit and bank cards, since when I called the bank they had been 'testing' by getting authorizations for $0 to see if it was good. GOOD LUCK when they try to put it trough and the card info they had is now invalid LOL

They called my dad looking for my EXhusband claiming there were federal fraud charges pending on him and that I was going to be included as well as my dad because we are listed as references to a Pakastani comoany called CashNet..

I just got called on my work phone for something they are claiming my now fiance' did back in 2005, before I even knew him. They had all of my information and kept bringing up the fact that my fiance had been arrested back when he was 19, he is 29 now, like that was a justification of them calling me. They then told me that they are putting in a charge to MY bank account to clear HIS debt, when I told them that the money was not in the account and it would not clear they said 'oh thats ok we will just put a hold on the funds until tomorrow, unless you don't call us'. I have called my bank and put them on notice that this might try to come through. They told me that it was also for Cashnet USA, we have never heard of this company.

They are a company with a bad attitude and high and  mighty attitude until they get what they are paid to do. They have in the past threaten to  arrest my dad and put bad vibes between me and my father. They tolfd my dad they would arrest him.

Logan had been calling me also. Saying i'm going to jail and charges are being filed. They call like 4 times a day leaving nasty messages. what a crock. If your going to file charges then do it.

The guy Logan calls and says he is in the process of filing charges against my ex inlaw, then I pick up the phone (off the voicemail as it was going) and he proceeds to tell me he could go to jail, so I told him to call back and leave me all the info.  I immediatly got online and looked up the company, and found this.  If they thought they could get info by trying to scare me, get real!  Get a new scam.

This gal who talked so fast that I could not understand the name she left on my message maching.  The number to call back was 877-338-2151 ext 304.  Said she was from Federal something or other and that I was a defendant in litigation in De Kalb county, and I needed to call her back to get it straightened out.   I have nothing to do with or in De Kalb county, but my dead beat former son-in law lives in DeKalb county, and he has collectors chasing him all the time.  I won't even bother to return calls to these collectors and until they serve me properly or contact me in writing.  If they contact me in writing, I have a form letter I send them with my dead beat former son-in law' information, including his parents phone number as well as cousing and uncles.

I got a call on my voice mail for a person with my last name but not my first name claiming that said person had a claim against her outside Stark county and unless they heard back, she would be considered as having purposely done something fraudulent. The caller was Raymond Owens claiming to be from the Federal Recovery Division.

I received a call from a guy named Ray this evening. He knew my full name, current address, social security #, & previous employer. He claimed I took out a payday loan with a company by the name of CASHnet USA online. But that was a total lie. I called my mom worrying because he said I was going to get reported for writing bad checks on a closed account & that he was with the federal govt. Which was also a lie. My mom called back & he said he didn't say he was with the govt & that he was with a co. by the name of The Federal Recovery & gave me this # 1877 3382152 ext 307. I called the # back that showed up on the caller id & he answered it hello, kind of sounded like a cell phone. I think it was a scam & am not giving my checking info out. BEWARE & I hope this helps.

Message on answering machine from "Ray" at the "Federal Recovery Office" regarding a bad check written by someone we never heard of. Guess I will ignore it as it has nothing to do with us.
