Interesting info. I was not home when the call came in I saw a missed call on my caller ID. By chance, I do have the Residential MD insurance on two of my houses. So far, they have paid off on three claims that I have submitted. One, for a three thousand central a/c unit.

Normally, I would not even offer this info up, but thus far I have been satisfied with them. I am a disabled Vet on a limited income and it's easier for me to pay forty-five bucks a month than two or three thousand at once.

I first found out about them two years ago when one of my banks, Citi sent me info on them. I decided to sign up, they added it to my mtg. payment. Later, I added my other house but had to pay by credit card each month because Chase was not set up with them. Hope this helps some one.

People who have elderly relatives with a house phone, when you are visiting and hopefully they have caller id, check out any numbers that are calling on Goggle. If bogus callers, go back into the phone and wipe out the name and change it to SCAM. That way your relative knows not to answer it. Do this every time you visit. In the mean time hopefully they won't answer the phone. Some scammers will con the elderly especially.

They just called me and there was nothing but silence on the end of the line.  I called back and spoke to a customer service rep.  I asked to be removed from their calling list and she took down my number and name and said she added it to their do not call list.  She said it can take up to 3 days to be removed.  We'll see....

I just got the same type of call, did not answer and called them back but didn't speak with anyone. After reading all these posts, I reported them to the Do Not Call List since I am on that list, my number is unlisted and registered with them. Maybe they can have these companies investigated.

It appeared that Wells Fargo co-conspired with Cross Country Home Service to steal money form account holders. Wells Fargo should not give your account number away to unauthorized vendor to debit you. According other people reported unwanted calls, the caller is Residential MD or Homesure of America Inc and Cross Country Home Services Inc Headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla . They have a website www.PlaceMyClaim.com. Call them first for a refund. If they declined, you should go to Wells Fargo branch where your account opened and ask them to credit you or else file complain in Better Business Bureau  then close the account.

I have received several calls from this number, but they leave no messages, after I bought a NetTalk phone from www.walmart.com and activated in NetTalk site. When I called the 1-877-880-1634, it has a voice response unit answered first saying they are making home ownership easy and you can make a claim at www.PlaceMyClaim.com. After I waited for a while a guy answered. He said they were Cross Country Home Warranty. I asked him kindly to remove my phone number from the call list. He said he could not, because my number was not on his list. Then he asked me if I had other number. I told him I was not a subscriber, no need to call me. I think It could be a mix up on their call list for people claiming a warranty service.

got a call Saturday a.m. about 10 oclock.  As I have Caller ID, I do not answer these calls.  They are dangerous.  Don't know where they were calling from.  Phone showed toll free call.  Where is our Government that they don't do anything about these bogus calls?  They are becoming more frequent.

The latest for me. I received two letters. One from Home Sure (they have TONS of different names) stating that:

" Our records indicate that you were enrolled in RESIDENTIAL MD GOLD on October 12, 2011. At that time, you (my name) accepted a 30 day review period of RESIDENTIAL MD GOLD. As communicated at the time of enrollment, your acceptance would be forwarded for processing, and the membership fee added to your account unless you call to cancel prior to the expiration of the 30 day review period."

They then declined the refund based on the "Cancellation Provision stated in the Terms and Conditions of your Service Agreement."

Did I sign an agreement? NO! I also have a hearing deficiency! I do remember a phone call and they said they were WITH Wells Fargo! All I did was ask them to send info in writing, but never would have signed for this.I threw the packet of written material away.  Wells Fargo gave them my account info. and I am out over $600.00.

Now Wells Fargo sent me a letter about stop payment. It is a long, confusing letter, which will be reviewed by my lawyer. What I gather at first glimpse, is a fee for all stop payment requests and a need to renew this request every 6 months to remain in effect. More serial robbery!

So far, BBB has responded to me with a letter responding to my complaint from these scammers which was the same as the above quote from a letter I received directly from them and I updated a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.

Update: they have been billing me back to November 14, 2011 for a total of 12 withdrawals costing me $659.40. STOLEN! And I do remember a couple of phone calls where the people identified themselves as being with Wells Fargo! I don't know if tgthat is relevant or not.

I just discovered the same thing. I've been charged by these people the same amount since May. I just noticed it today and then tracked back over my statements.

I tried to call their 877 number and, as others have said, got the message indicating that they're available by phone 24/7 365. Of course when I pressed the key for customer service, the recording told me that the office is closed until tomorrow morning. Also as others here have indicated, I signed up for nothing, never received a phone call or anything in the mail. I certainly never authorized any charge to my account.

After reading this comment thread and calling Residential MD, I called Wells Fargo and initiated a fraud dispute. The Wells Fargo rep was attentive and helpful. They indicate that the dispute should be resolved within 10 business days. We'll see.

I filed complaints wherever I could. I called the FBI and filed a complaint with the Federal Trade people. I called channel 6 ABC Action News and was told that I should call Wells Fargo and tell them that they have to reverse the unauthorized charges. Wells Fargo has NO signed authorization and they have NO verbal recorded authorization. I called Wells Fargo and requested that the stolen money be replaced to my bank account. I was told they have 10 days. If this is not done by 10/27, I am to ask 6 ABC News to assist me and  they will! I want these people in JAIL, however, according to the FBI, they are probabley in a foreign country such as Romania and it would be impossible to track them.

I have had the exact same situation.
Residential MD8778801634 began charging directly to my checking account without my knowledge or permission the amount of $54.95 per month.
After some research, They are actually "Cross Country Home Services Inc" and I called them on Sept. 20 to "cancel"
After discussion with my bank, I have requested from "Cross Country Home Services" to provide whatever documentation they have that I agreed to their offer (offer ??)
If the "agreement" is not valid, which it cannot be, I will forward to the Authorities for further attention.
I will update as things progress.

Residential MD aka Homesure of America Inc aka Cross Country Home Services Inc, all using the number 877-880-1634.
Without my authority, they withdrew a number of charges at $54.95 per month from my checking account before I noticed the irregularity of the charges.
Under no circumstances would I enter into an agreement for a producy or service unless I specifically initiated that contact.
They, "Residential MD 8778831634" state that they are affiliated with Wells Fargo (my bank) and maintain that I agreed to their "home warranty" contract over the phone, an assertion that is totally ludicrous..
I have communicated with Wells Fargo via regular mail and will report back to this site with updates.

I do not recall getting a phone call from these people, but I noticed on my online Bank Account Summary that they have been charging me $54.95 (total of $164.85)  three times, once a month, August through October with no authorization or service requested from me ! I don't know who they are and how they got my account information. I called Wells Fargo and reported this. A claim manager will be working on this problem and I will hear from the manager in about 10 days.
"Residential MD" appears on the Account Summary with their telephone # 877-880-1634, and another number.

They called me and said they were affiliated with Wells Fargo and were offering Home Warranty insurance that I could cancel once by calling them back. Told them no I wasn't interested and they continued to give their spiel. I continued to say no thank you which they continued to ignor, so I hung up. Next thing I knew, there was a charge on my bank account for $44.95. I called Wells Fargo and they are investigating. What a scam! How they got my bank account number, I don't know, but watch out for these people.

Received the same info on my answering machine.  At the end of the prerecorded message, a very foreign accent live operator started saying my name as if she thought I was there.  I have had home warranty calls in the past and am received a ton of calls from one of my credit card banks, U.S. Bank.  Undoubtedly, after reading previous responses, this has eminated from them in some form.  Not interested and will contact them to change my privacy info. (And maybe cancel my card...)

The name of this company is Home Sure Services, Inc and I would suggest that you take a look right away at your account to see if they are taking monies out of your account.  I just discovered that these people was taking 54.95 a month from my Wells Fargo account.  I contacted Wells Fargo and was told that the monthly payments were going to JP Morgan/Chase.  I never gave these people my account information.  I had a credit cards with Chase which I paid monthly by check.  The used my checking information to withdraw these monthly payments without my permission.  I contacted Home Sure to dispute this and I just received a letter from them denying my request for a refund.  Have anyone gone thru this with this company, because I need help.

I was helping my elderly folks with their bills and noticed a $54 charge from RESIDENTIAL MD on their Wells Fargo bank statement.  They had no idea what this charge was for.  Called Wells Fargo customer service and they said you have to call RESIDENTIAL MD to find out.  Called RESIDENTIAL MD and they said my father agreed to a contract over the phone and threatened to play the recorded conversation back to me.  He is no longer capable of entering into agreements because of his illness.  After arguing with them for 30 minutes they agreed to reverse the charge and cancel the alleged contract.  Called Wells Fargo back and reported RESIDENTIAL MD to their fraud dept.  It would appear RESIDENTIAL MD and Wells Fargo have some kind of strategic alliance.  How else could RESIDENTIAL MD have obtained my folks' bank info and drawn out $54 under the radar?  Beware!!  This is all done by telephone and they don't send any materials in the mail and they are not even listed with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

These people call and try to sell you a home warranty.  The catch is that you never receive anything ni the mail to cancel.  They must get their info from your bank.  My checking account from Wells Fargo (Wachovia) was charged without me giving them any of my account information.  Wells Fargo deniesthis saying they can't reach the company.  You will find they debit your account as Residential MD 877.800.1634 instead of their actual number 877.880.1634.
