We are getting called daily by this number, listed as "Unavailable." The message is a recording saying something like "this is not a sales call. I'm calling on an important business matter, etc." and then gives a reference number to use on a call-back.

Since we don't have anything in collection, I'm scratching my head as to why a collection agency is calling. Think maybe it's not legit?

I get a call from this number daily at 8am on the dot.  It's a pain because they usually wake up my 5 month old son.

Thanks for the info I've been getting calls from this number too and they call all the time. I don't answer calls I don't know but I will send them a certified letter to stop calling me. I tried to talk to them but unless i verify my information they won't tell me what the call is in reference too they just give me some file number and once I refuse to give any info about myself they had the nerve to get rude with me! I'm just tired of these people calling and calling but won't cooperate with me. I will NOT give any of my information out not knowing who I'm talking to and what the call is in reference to. Just telling me it's a financial matter isn't enough for me.

Records on another call tracking website indicate that a caller ID on the this number showed the name "Bay Area Collection".  I searched that name and came up with this:

By the way, if you instruct a collection agency to stop contacting you, they are bound by federal law to no longer contact you.  If these jerks keep calling you, send them a certified letter notifying them that 1) they have erroneously called your phone number numerous times and that 2) per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, they are to cease and desist all attempts to contact you.  I'd also warn them that if they call you again, you'll file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and your state's attorney general.

I pushed 0, and it got me to a live person.  I said hello, they said hello, they wanted to speak to *name here*.  I said, there is no one here by that name, that we have had this number for 4 years, please stop calling.  They said, no, we don't know that for sure, and they hung up.

877-340-3699 calls my house starting anywhere from 8:00 AM on Mondays and doesn't stop until 9:00 Saturday night.  On the answering machine, there is an automated message saying "This is an urgent business matter".  They call a couple of times a day, but when I try to call them back, it comes up as a fast busy signal like the number isn't working.  I'm sick of it.

Call # back, ask for name of company.  They must give you the name.  They say they cannot give physical address.  Don't believe it.   They have Federal rules they must follow..   They are a third party company....
