I continue to receive calls from 877-341-5323, a company named Weidman & Jankowski leaving answering machine messages relating to mitigation for a person we do not know. I finally reached this company at this 877 number and asked them to remove our number and stop calling, the number they are calling is incorrect. Calls stopped for a few weeks, now they are calling again, and again, and again. After looking at the history here, someone needs to legally shut these folks down.

They won't be around long.  I have my people taking care of them.

We get telephone calls on something that has nothing to do with us.

It would be fine if they check the phone company or  phone book to see who they are calling. I owe NO BILLS TO ANYONE!!! And they keep calling my phone number every day asking for a name that I never heard of before. Even after I called them back and left them know that they had the wrong number, they still call. I had my phone number for over 20 years! I did filled out a form with the FCC. To all of you that do not owe any bills, please do the same. Together we can get this company to check there info before calling just any number.

"BC", you illiterate twit, you should try *reading* the messages to which you're responding. The people posting here have made it plain they don't owe the debt that is being called for. This is a common tactic that scammers use: Trying to frighten/intimidate people into paying "debts" they don't really owe.

Be careful with this company.  They have been calling my home number for many many months.  In the beginning they were calling for someone with the same last name, but the first name was not someone who lived at our address.  Eventually, I left them a message to stop calling.  Then a few months later, they began calling again but this time leaving a message for me in my name (I never gave them my name when I told them not to call again)  Their message is about a debt and litigation.  I finally answered the phone when they called and they told me that I had a debt that had to be settled.  But, the very first thing they asked me for was the last four digits of my social security number.  I told them I was not going to give that information.  They began to tell me I had a debt that needed to be paid.  I told them I did not. I began to ask questions about the debt and he told me it was with Fingerhut and gave me the dollar amount but that was all the information they gave. When I told them it was not my debt that I had never used fingerhut, he said "so you say" and then gave me the address where the items were deliverd, which was not mine. He told me the only thing I could do, other than pay it was to call the police and make a police report for fraud and fax it to him.  He also told me he was reporting me as refusing to pay.  I then proceeded to run all my credit reports which did not show me owing the debt or any accounts with Fingerhut or that any inquiry was ever made on my credit from fingerhut.  I also called the Police and they said the company didn't sound legit.  So, I called them back to tell them that I had made inquiries and that Fingerhut told me that there was no account ever set up in my name and that they didn't use this company as a collection agency and I told him  that the only police report I would be making was against them.  Anthony Romero started to yell at me and told me not to yell at him (which I wasn't) and that fingerhut did use them as a collection agency and then gave me the last 4 digits of a social security number which I said wasn't mine and he blurted out something and then hung up on me.

Wideman and Jenkowski (spelling?) have called for months using a recorded message for someone unknown by anyone in the area much less at the physical address associated with said number.  Incidentally, the number Wideman and Jerkowski continue to call is on the national DNC list and has been for some time.  

Here are a few things I have pondered after reading many of these posts.  Besides possible treble damages, what are the legal ramifications for any company/entity that incorporates unfair and deceptive trade practices within their state of incorporation and how does that work when a company/entity does business (makes calls) across state lines.  In other words, are all calls treated equally or are intra and interstate calls treated differently with respect to unfair and deceptive trade practice laws?  Are some state laws more stringent than others?

I have asked several times that Weidman & Jankowski remove my phone number from their file. I have had that number for eleven years & apparently it belonged to some deadbeat prior to that time, but I'm feeling harassed because the people who answer the 877-341-5323 Weidman & Jankowski number are rude and don't seem to want to remove my number - probably deadbeats themselves.

A few harassment complaints from numerous people to the FBI might do wonders.  Especially if what they are doing turns out to be illegal. The way I understand it, they have to look into all calls.

Weidman & Jankowski is the 3rd name that collection agency has gone by in the past year. They went from being Turning Point Resolutions, to Zeller & Associates, to Weidman & Associates. Same address of 210 John Glenn Dr. #3, Amherst NY, different phone numbers. They would call my home phone and cell phone simultaneously. I told them the person they were looking for does not live at my address, and the phone numbers are mine and have been for years. Ofcourse, they know this; the information is easy to access on the internet. After they get too many complaints for their illegal abuse of people, they just change their name. Why can't the law put these criminals in jail where they belong.? They just started calling my phones again today, and I have had it with them. I will not bother filling out complaints about them. I WILL call the governor in the State of New York and demand that something be done. I hope everyone will do the same. The harrasment of innocent citizens is out of control in this country!

If you are receiving calls from someone other than yourself maybe you should try to contact that office and get the number removed. Its really that simple. Most automated system do take up to 72 hrs to remove a number. Posting things on this site will not solve anything. If you feel that a company is a "scam", try doing some research before you do anything further. Especially with a collections company you can always verify that are legit. In this case, the company is based out of FLORIDA. So, go to https://real.flofr.com/ConsumerServices/SearchLicensingRecords/Search.aspx. There you will be able to see for yourself whether or not they are in fact a "scam". I checked and they do have a VALID collections license. With all this said, if this company or any company for that matter is contacting you regarding a debt, verify first that they are who they say they are. If the person is NOT you then contact them to get your number removed. SIMPLE.

They hired an automated voice to intentionally fumble the business name so you could not figure out who this company is. It appears they physically operate out of Florida... The state known around the country for thousands of telephone scam marketing and illegal collection practicing companies. Many operate without a license illegally.

Someone suggested their cheesey website is "www.WEIDMEN.com". I looked up the WhoIs info on their domain and a secondary doman from their contact email address. That name is "www.JSCO.info". They are an accounting and collection agency. Both domain names claim their domain operations are based at the SAME ADDRESS in Amherst, New York. Maybe these are fake addresses listed for the domain.

FAIL with a cutting edge website like this http://weidmen.com/ they must be top notch debt collectors. They keep calling my new cell phone, my family doesn't even know the number yet. Obviously not calling for me. Always a recorded voice on the phone, always yapping about mitigation etc.

Thought I was rid of these people. They called everyday a few months ago. I finally called them back to tell them I never heard of the person they were trying to reach. Was told they would remove my number. Well, they're back. Had two calls yesterday and two today. Next step is to the Attorney General's office. Maybe they can help.

That is there job. But when they have the wrong number and don't stop calling, how can you expect people not to get mad I pay my bills and they call me at least 4 times a day and I owe nothing and they do say they are a law firm

They call me on a daily basis sometimes more than once I don't owe what they are saying and don't know the person they are asking for and they are calling my cell. I'm saving all the messages they leave because they even called me after 10pm one night was almost 11pm and left a message on my cell. I will not pay whatever it is they want. I don't have any outstanding debts. I pay my bills. That one is for you LACY. I do pay my bills. somehow I think mayby you are in one this and I'm going to talk to my attorny and let him hear the messages and how many they are leaving and how many times a day they are calling without leaving a message. It's call harrassment! Leave me alone I'm not giving you my bank numbers I wasn't born yesterday! So leave me alone.
