OptumRx called regarding a request to approve injections with my orthopedic surgeon.  They send the meds directly to the office, and it is prescription only.  It is legitimate, at least for me.

Same as already reported,  with the exception that I use OptimRX and have had no bad experiences with them. The prices are the same as local pharmacy, but I save the time of going to the store and standing in line.

Also,  I highly recommend Current Caller ID app

There are plenty but they are dependent on what your service provider offers.  Typically the amount of numbers allowed is limited...  i.e. AT&T U-verse allows 20 Blocked, 20 Exclusive [ nee Selective ] Forwarding, etc.  There's also numerous hardware devices, which you can learn about on this site, but many are out dated, and somewhat limited in their ability to give comprehensive coverage.

A VoIP Service we're moving to allows upwards of 50 numbers for each of these categories.

PS: I'll be checking out the Current Caller ID App you mentioned...  sounds interesting.  Hope it available for iPhone [ iOS Apps ].

I use my cell phone for most of my calls. Since I installed an app called, 'Current Caller ID, I am able to block numbers. It is a great app.  So the caller calls, and as usual, leaves no message. In my book, if you want to get a hold of me bad enough, you leave a message on the "answering machine/service (which has a purpose of allowing idiots or people, or companies, to get information to you when you are not available.). If you leave NO message, I go into the Current Caller ID App, and Block your number, forever. Now each time that number calls, I hear a short "Blip", and that's it. They never get connected, and now can't even leave a message, which is what they should have done in the first place.  Anytime I see a number I don't recognize, I answer it, immediately hang up, go to the App, and block the number.  Since I can call #'s without sending my #, I can call any # back to see who it was that did not have the common courtesy to leave me a message!

I must have 300 blocked number right now.  Also, the App is FREE, you can upgrade if you want, but I have had if for over a year, and have not needed to use it.

I Love it!  I wish there was a system like this for landline phones.....maybe there is...I will look...if anyone finds one ..POST IT HERE!

OptimumRX a mail order prescription service. As I'm not currently on any prescriptions, I had the real human look up my records to confirm I was a wrong number on their call list and to have my number removed.

They interrupt me several times a week and often multiple times daily.  If this is UHC -- bye bye!  You raised my policy over $200 and I am saving over $400 switching to basic Blue with same coverage and even less copay.  Tire of UHC in so many ways!

I feel this company has invaded my privacy, since they would have had to obtain my personal information from my insurance company. I do not want to buy meds via an online pharmacy. My family has always used an independently-owned and operated pharmacy where we get exceptional service; they go the extra mile and take care of their clients, and I think most independents will do the same because of increased competition. My pharmacist even told me about discounts available for all but one of the medications I take - I just had to apply for the discounts online, and the cost rivals any other chain pharmacy or online pharmacy. Stick with the independently owned and operated businesses!!

OptumRX Mail Service Pharmacy.  A quick internet search shows they have quite a few complaints about overcharges, charges for unwanted "services", harassing phone calls, etc...  Your health insurance company may have passed your personal information over to OptumRX for marketing (UHC is a known offender).  Might want to contact your insurance company and raise some concerns about health information privacy.

Calls multiple times daily, only left one (barely intelligible) message.  Contacted them at 877-355-1276 (the callback number they left on the message) and told them not to call me anymore.  They proceeded to call several more times, so I called back and spoke with a supervisor who said he would resolve the problem immediately (I didn't ask to receive any calls in the first place!)

Mail order pharmacies CANNOT fill certain prescriptions, mainly LEGAL ones for narcotics. This has NOTHING to do with Obamacare!!!

Certain health insurance companies do business with online pharmacies, because they are cheaper for the insurance company, as well as the consumer. The non-narcotic prescriptions are FAXED to the company, and the meds come in the mail. That is EXACTLY what happens here. If our prescriptions are generic, then there is NO co-pay.

We have dealt with MEDCO and ExpressScripts for nearly 6 years now, and have never felt that a HIPPA violation has occurred.

I received the same call.  I told the caller that I would get back to "them" regarding this mail order pharmacy bit.  In some ways, the idea of a mial order pharmacy sounds less expensive;  However, in order to contact me, not only was my medical information shared, the prescriptions I am taking, my date of birth et cetera, but definite privacy violations occurred including the personal phone call when my home telephone number is listed on the Do Not Call List.  The original caller said that she was unaware of the Do Not Call List violation and that her computer did not indicate that such was the case.  Well, yes and no.  Optimum Rx appears to be a subsidiary of United Health Care, and when one has switched to this system, then since UHC is the parent company and one is doing business with this company, then receiving a call from this company may not be construed as a Do Not Call List violation.  Various fine legal lines may be crossed by this venture. What it does to fair market competition is also another issue.  Also, there are safety consideration in sending pharmaceutical products via mail-- although I have been assured that they will be carefully packaged to maintain optimum shipping conditions.  At any rate, I did not place an order at the
time of the call, said I would get back to the company later, and I have yet to hear the receive the return call.  My husband told me that really I may not have a choice in the matter once Obama care passes in Congress.  Health care may mandate mail-order pharmacies-- and in which case, what does this do to drug store chains?  At any rate, I will see what I will see.  I see the possibility of saving, but I also see a lot of red flags in the sharing of patient information as ell as privacy violations.
