Odd post on an old thread. Does this mean they're starting to reuse old numbers? The employee was having a hard time explaining things though, and nothing's changed. Did see a July 2013 entry and 800 Services, mentioned.

Why don't you give us your number and we'll call you repeatedly to tell you we are having problems with our employment. Or we'll just hang up and keep calling back?

All I do is block these  SOB on my phone. Get a phone with block futures.

I picked it up, out of curiosity...was asked by robo-dialer to "hold the line" and then absolutely atrocious hold music came on.  I waited so I could lambaste the idiot who called only to be hung up on when the person came on the line.  No "Hello", no nothing, just...dead air then *click*.

Received a call from this number.  Decided to pick up because I get these types of calls frequently.  No answer.  I am on the Do Not Call list so if this is a sales call as indicated by the "college kid" below, I will persue all available remedies.

I have received calls from this number every day for weeks.  The phone rings for about .5 seconds and then hangs up before I can answer.  Annoying.

This number has called my house every day for the last week.Instead of leaving a message, they just hang up.  Very rude.

That's crap employee! I answered and to the caller I said hold on when they asked for the person by name. Phone handed directly to party asked for. Party said "hello" and your caller had hung up. So why is this if you state you are college kids working for commission? This telemarketer would have stayed with it in hopes of making their commission. If the call was lost they would most certainly have called back. You're not being truthful about something. You should quit working two jobs and put more effort to your studies or you will be working two jobs for a long, long time.

the easiest way to get rid of these callers is to say nothing and hang up. That shows no room for tolerance. iF YOU speak to them, they automatically assume that your mind can be changed, since you offer conversation. I always hang up rather harsh, ensuring the microphone area of my phone doesn't hit the cradle right on. I very rarely get call backs.

With some carriers, they offer a block function. I know cox residential phone does. For those that are pestered by their actions, call the main office and talk to some one in complaints, or a moderator/negotiator. File a grievance against them. If your not willing to go those routes, your tolerant to what they are doing to you, and they will keep calling. Do one program, and they will offer another. Whining about a phone call here will get you no sympathy from me.

Cox communications.  If you are already a customer, they have the right to call you whether or not you are on the DNC registry.  And if you are a customer, most companies allow you to request them to not call you about promotions.

NOTE TO ALL: I got this call on my Google Voice # which is what is listed on my account.  I highly recommend you get one too.  It's FREE.  It fwds to any phone (and multiple if you choose) and the best and easiest way to screen and block calls.  The only people who get my real cell are people who I know and I want to call me.

I got a call an no one said anything - and I gave them plenty of time to speak.  I think you kids need to take a college lesson in using the phone.

Got a call from this number just a moment ago.  I said "Hello?" twice, no response.  Hung up and Googled the number.

I use Google voice, their on my blocked number list now.

I would like to have the unsolicited calls from 877-358-3041 stopped!

I keep getting calls from this number, I do not even answer calls from numbers I do not know. Do wish they would quick calling.

I am sick of these people calling 3 or 4 times a day.   I am calling cox to get rid of my internet service because of this.

I keep getting calls from them and only got one voicemail. It was a recording telling me that my "installation" was scheduled for the following day and if I don't call back and confirm, then the installer would call and confirm before he arrived. Well, considering I haven't lived in the Cox Communication service area in almost 5 months and have never personally ordered any services from Cox, I didn't call back or get a call the next day from an installer. Now when I get a call, if I answer there's no one on the line. If I don't answer, no voicemail.

Well, I guess Cox is suffering from the economic situation the rest of us are.  :(   I use a cell phone that I never answer and give out to people who try to call and sell stuff.  Works for me.  You might want to try a better job?

Calls periodically. B/c I'd recived a 2 calls w/in 20 minutes from another "800 Service" caller ID, I assumed it was same number and was in f* off mode. I gave them one hello and was met with silence, so I went into my speech of 'whoever this is, take us off you calling list! If I'm called again I'll report you to the FCC". Feel a bit guilty cuz it wasn't the same number, but If you're cold-calling from a default ID, you are gonna get yelled at. I don't think it is Cox, cuz we get calls from 600-8282, which is the local number.

I also got a call from 877-358-3041, I didn't get a chance to look at my caller ID. I answered and told them sorry, wrong number & hung up. I ran a google search to see if I could find anything. I found this site, then called cox. Told them don't call or send me anything in the mail. If I want something done on my account I know how to call you & know where my local cox store is. Also told cox rep., If I get anything else in the mail or any more phone calls I will cancel my service...

This number  shows  up almost weekly on my home phone  which is NOT listed and most of the time it rings twice or three times and hangs up or if I should happen to answer it, no one is there .  Most annoying , is this typical of phone service from now on ?

I answered their call, they bumbled our last name the worst I have ever heard. Since she said the name so wrong, I answered, "no, sorry wrong number."  She had to be new.  We have the Cox bundle, but they do not recognize it because the high speed internet is paid for by my husbands employer.  I get the call at least once a month. I have told them each time (but this one) and added that unless you want me to unsubscribe from the service, don't call anymore. All just wasted words. We get mailed to death too.  Twice a week they send us mail about internet. Idiots. Thank goodness we have our recycling bin so close to the mail box ;)
