Got a call from this too! They left a msg stating to be a compnay called Nuvell.  I checke it out, turns out to be a auto financing company (telemarketeer?)  My bet is the friend/room mate (in my case) tried to refinance their car with another company and Nuvell brought the name in hopes of doing business.

most sites online list the number as telemarketing company (877-375-2247)

got a call from some weirdo saying it was urgent that they talk to me.  He called me at work...called my by my first name and left msg.  I called back only to come n contact with what seems to be a very shady person who wanted my social secutiry # and said someone must have used me for a reference on a credit application.  That is not possible.   Beware of this people.  Someone amiss with this so-called company.

I keep receiving phone calls on my home phone and cell phone regarding my ex-wife.  I explained to the person from Novell Financial that we are no longer married and they keep calling my cell phone and home phone.  Phone number 877-375-2247 ext 30020.  The person said they would update their database to reflect not to call my cell or home phone.

Similar thing here. Have not talked to the person they are looking for in over a year. Claim I'm listed as a "personal reference". "Mike" did not ask for anything other than letting the person in question know they are looking to contact her.

The friend that he mentioned is an actual friend of mine.  He stated that it was urgent and that my friend call him back at x30070.  Now I am wondering how did this place get my cell number and why would my friend provide it to them??!!

A Mr. Miles called me from 877-375-2247 and left his extension number.  He left a message and said that it was urgent that he contacted my neighbors Dave and Cindy (I'm not giving their real names in this)...anyways he knew their first and last names, mine as well (I have an unlisted phone number), and both of our addresses.  The message said that he HAD tried on numerous occassions to contact them and wanted me to write down his details and leave a note in their door for them to contact him immediately.  Since when do bill collectors contact and harass neighbors to pass messages along.  If anyone knows how to make this STOP, please let me know on this blog.

Someone called for a Mr. Edward Pigme or Pickme and said that this was listed I, Mrs. Pigme/Pickme was listed as a secondary contact.  They were trying to reach him regarding some claims and could I please have him give them a call.  They left the extention #30317 and when I called back to tell them that this was the second time that I have had to deal with them and that they needed to take my phone number out of their system cause I am not nor do I know any Mr. Edward Pigme/Pickme the agent hung up on me.  I tried to call back and got pushed to the stupid customer service queue.  And every time I got an agent I asked for a supervisor and got dropped to the bottom of the queue.

some guy left me a message at work - no name just a phone number.  He knew my name and how to get ahold of me at work along with my extension.  WHen I called the number it immediately asked me for social security number.  I bi-passed that and entered the extension he left me.  He answered the phone and asked me for my name again.  I only gave him my first name and asked him what this was about.  He said maybe someone used me as a reference for a car loan or as a reference in general.  He said he would have to research it and get back to me and I told him to never call me gain.  It sounded very shady.  The whole thing was just not right.

some guy call me at work - left a message to call him.  I called back they asked for my social security number.  I by-passed that to get tho his extension and asked what kind of company this was - he told me car financing and that someone must be using me as a reference for credit.  It seems very shady to me.   I don't know anyone who would be using me as a reference.  This is just not right.  How does someone know my name (first name only) and call me at work and know my extension?

Received a call from them also.  It was listed on the caller i. d. as a blocked call, which I never answer.  I rarely get a blocked caller but this one time I decided to answer and tell them off for doing this...it was one of those calls from a Micahel looking for someone who doesn't live here.  Have no idea how they got this number; said that this person's phone was not working.  I told "Michael" that whatever he called for was none of my business and not to call here again.  If a person or company does not want me to know who is calling - when it comes up "blocked call" - I don't have any reason to talk to them.

Called and said they had an emergency msg. for neighbor.  To please give it to them and ask them to call immediately.  Smells like debt collector not being able to get in touch with debtor. Don't think this is legal.

These jerks called me on multiple occasions asking to tell a message to my neighbor. When I asked them how they got my info, they told me that they looked me up and figured that since we were neighbors I probably knew them. Also, they told me they were worried about her because her phone was disconnected. I have since told them to not call me anymore because I refuse to harrass them on their behalf. I assume that in several months they will probably start the calls again... I have read several reports on this company and it looks pretty bad. Check out Nuvell on ripoffreport.com

Received a call around noon today (Saturday).  The caller left a message on our answer machine.  The caller identified herself as Christy at Intel Research and Recovery.  She knew my name and my husband's name.  She wanted to speak to our daughter regarding a problem with the registration on a Ford truck.  She made like it was a real emergency.  She left the above number and an extension.  I called my husband and asked him to call the number and see what it was all about.  He called but the company did not identify itself as Intel.  He doesn't recall what the receptionist said.  Christy was unavailable.  He was given a manager who immediately asked for our daughter's social security number.  Of course, he didn't give it to him.  Our daughter owned a Ford truck at one time but no longer.  I checked on Intel, and it's a computer research company.  The whole thing seemed like a scam of some kind to us.  Our daughter found the number on the computer, and here I am reporting it.

These fools (Nuvell finance)called my neighbor and left a message for my husband's son, who has never lived near us. This has pissed me off and I will post a U Tube video to complain about the unneccesary steps they are taking to collect someone else's debt.

These people called and left a message to talk to a Todd (no Todd here) about Ricky (not the real name). They left a number (1-877-375-2247) to reach them.

I looked up Nuvell Financial, and they are a legitimate company.
Description from web site:

We provide services to customers who are unable to obtain credit from traditional sources and dealers looking for a myriad of financing options for their organization. We are committed to providing superior services to each and every customer and dealer.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of GMAC, Nuvell has quickly become one of the nation's premier providers of comprehensive vehicle financing and servicing.

Seems like they are calling to find the whereabouts of someone with the same last name as mine.

Calling trying to get ahold a some guy name rodrigues.  Searching on the web, they appear to be some sort of collection agency that harrasses ONLY the people that the criminals, that they are actually looking for, put on their credit or loan apps.  Don't even know the legitimacy of Nuvell themselves.
