These idoots called me several times not knowing I was able to track their location. Last time I got a call from them, they were oporation out pf an office in Douglasville, GA. I sent someone over to see if they were really that stupid. They really are!!

Anyone else getting calls from this number?

Claims to be lawyer office representing a company called Planet Loans claims payday loans were taken out in my name. Claim they wont press charges unless I pay a certain amount. Harassment!

I GOT THE SAME CALL FROM A MR. BRYANT AND THEY WANTED ME TO DEPOSIT THE MONEY IN A NEW YORK BANK ACCOUNT THROUGH BANK OF AMERICA. SAID IT WAS A PAYDAY LOAN WHICH I DONT DO.

I,too recieved a call from someone from this number stating that i owed money to washington mutual.when i told them to contact my attorney,they refused and stated that i had 3 days to pay the amount owed or i would be summoned to court.i admit i was worried at first but now i am not thanks to this site that i found when i googled the number.

I have received three calls (one this morning) from this Frank Lapino person. He says something to the effect that because of my unresponsiveness, they are filing a claim in my name and social security number and that if I do not respond within 72 hours they will send it out to the proper jurisdiction. Then he says that he is from the bank fraud division, check fraud from the Commonwealth. He leaves a call back number which I called out of curiosity and outrage and I get a voice mail for a Traci Greene or something like that.  Her voice mail says it is full.  I actually talked to this idiot last Friday night and he told me to be careful what I said that he was recording me and who was I? I told him "You called me you idiot!" and hung up on him.  He's called this morning.  I have called the Attorney General's office and I'm turning this turkey in.

I don't write checks PERIOD! I'm getting really sick of this creep.  His number is located in  Nebraska somewhere.

I got a similiar call tonight with an automated message left. How do we fight this??

I just got the same call from Frank unkown nuber showed on my cell he left the same message. I called back and it goes to a voice mail that is full.

Got a couple of messages/calls from a number saying we need to call 1-877-397-9099 from a Frank in the Commonwealth or something like that indicating we have a bad check written by someone with our Social Security Number and giving us 72 hours to respond or it would be referred to the local authorities.

Checking with our State comsumer protection agency they indicate it is a scam and others have reported it as well, but tracking it down to take action is a problem as they pay for the toll-free number with cash and all the background information on who bought the line is generally bogus, they are just fishing for information or trying to get you to send them money.

Best to just ignore them.

Ive recieved many calls from this number about a bad check well I dont write checks.Are these fraud people trying to collect money that is not really owed?

I also got a call from a caller by the name of Anthony Lapino about a debt that was paid along time ago
very threatening also when I asked for the street address to send bank documentation of paying the debt he would not provide; 3 days later I got another message left on voicemail very similar to other posts

I got the same message the attny general wont do anything the police wont do anything. It is just crazy in this day and age these people can continue to harrass people

these people keep calling me saying I owe money which I dont. they say they are filling charges adn that they emailed me but no emails. Received nothing in mail. The attny general will not do anything this is Fraud!!!!!

I just got a call and voicemail from Frank Latino stating I have 72 hours to respond to his message or else I would be reported to the authorities.  I know FOR A FACT that if ANYTHING is wrong with my bank accounts, I get a call first thing at 8AM from my bank directly on my HOME line.  This guy called me on my cell.  Plus, I hardly ever write checks, and I have never in my life gotten a payday loan or anything like that of the sort.  Total BS.  Report him to the authorities if you get this call.  If this many people are getting calls from the same guy to call the same number, I don't see why they can't pursue him in some way.

Well, my 72 hrs. were up last nite..No further contact so far.  I did notify my local police department of this possible fraud attempt.

Got the same call, what a bunch of Bull, whay can nothing be done to stop this type of crap.

I got a call last nite 9/30 at 9:00 PM from that 402-835-4196  which I found is a land line out of Columbus, Nebraska.  I also have 72 hrs to contact Frank Lupino or face possible charges.  They also stated that it is for a bad check and they have my SS number !  Thanks for everyone's comment on this matter and i guess all I can say is "BRING IT ON!"  I'm glad I found this website and all of you!

I too received a voicemail from Frank at 10pm, that in itself is illegal. I dont even write checks. I will be reporting HIM to authorities!

Got the same message from Frank Latino from the Commonwealth.  Definitely a scam.  Just checked my account and no issues.  Probably some guy in prison trying to scam people.

They called regarding an MBNA account they said they purchased from MBNA, and said I had to pay or they would sue.  I called Bank of America (purchased MBNA) they said did not sell to it to them.  They seem to scam artist

My husband received a phone call from Frank Lapino stating he was from Commonwealth and he was calling about bad checks.  We have no bad checks but I have had phone calls from another scam company about a supposed pay day loan that had not been which was false.  This company is bogus and is trying to defraud the people they are calling.  Call the attorney general office in your state to see if they can do anything, but good luck because I contacted the attorney general in our state to no avail.  One way to solve these harassing phone calls would be to change your phone number.  If you receive harrassing phone calls, you should be able to have your cell phone company change your number and then they can't call you anymore because the old number will be totally disconnected.

I got a phone call tonight on my cell that stated I needed to call this place within 72 hrs due to fraud and something about court. So I called they told me I had a payday loan from a long time ago and I had til Friday to get them the full amount....which I wanted to know what the total amt was in the beginning...they said it is only an amt they show but some break down. She told me something about Chapter 49 which I asked her about it, she said something about the DA. I told her I didn't have that kind of money so she said she would talk to Her attrnys and came back with this friday for X amt...then she said I will talk to the chief and see what they can do....still this friday for X. I said well ma'am I am willing to take care of it BUT I can't do it by Friday....she said see you in COURT. I am calling the attroney general tomorrow....I know I owe but this is just wrong for the way they treat you and threat you. What next they gonna call me at work?????

I received a very nasty call from a Victor Lynch at Rollo Investigations who is supposedly working for Ten Dollar Pay Day Loan/MTE. I took out a loan with them two years ago under quickest cash advance and payed them off in full last year through Town and Country. Stupid me, I never thought to get a letter from T&C saying that this was paid off and after three months, they get rid of account information once the account is closed.

Here is the crazy part. I spoke to someone at MTE and told them that these people at Rolo are harassing me over a debt I paid. MTE said they didn't even have a record of my account with them. So I called Victor Lynch back to tell him this but he swore up and down that this debt is valid and that they want the entire fee of $390 by Friday or they will prosecute me for passing bad checks.

The Maryland State Commissioner of Financial Regulation's Enforcement Unit has been investigating MTE Financial Services aka 500 Fast Cash, aka United Cash Loans, aka NoFaxingPaydayLoan, aka Ameriloan, among the few aliases that are known, and it's been determined that MTE Financial Services have been conducting business illegally.

The Enforcement Unit has tracked the owner back to an Oklahoma Indian reservation, which in itself will pose problems in enforcing Maryland State law. It looks as though MTE Financial is a tribal entity and thus immune from law under the doctrine of tribal Sovereign immunity; in other words, in most cases state laws cannot be enforced upon them. However, the investigation is in its infancy stage.

MTE financial services have been sued in numerous courts in several states because of their lending practices and non-compliance with state laws. The West Virginia Attorney General's office and Colorado State have both sued MTE, however, when you have a company that has no brick and mortar storefront and relatively no business license anywhere, what repercussions can you expect? You'll never see the owners show up in court, the owners never answer any court subpoena, and they basically dismiss any judgments.

Any Payday loan lenders doing business in Maryland are required to register with the Commissioner of Financial Regulation and be in compliance with the State of Maryland before lending or collecting any money. Nonetheless, these companies have sought to evade Maryland law by making usurious payday loans to consumers in their homes over the Internet via interactive web sites.

I got the same call at my work number from a Frank Lapino.  I called my bank and have no bad debt, shout I just let this go and not do anything?  I have no idea what the right steps should be.

Got a call saying it was from the bad check division and that due to my not responding they will ahve me arrested? For what? What is the debt? Nothing to support...

also got a call from Frank Lipino. Called from 402-835-4196. Message said we had 72 hours to contact him about bad checks. At 5pm on Saturday, and we have no bad checks or anything of the sort.

THEY CALLED MY BROTHER AND SAID THE SAME THING I FILED CHARGES AGAINIST THEM WITH THE NY STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE

They called and said I would be charged with cold check.(Not the charge) if i didnt pay within 3 days. Wont give me the company name or address to check out the debt. They dont say they are a debt collector.
