CRA woman became agitated when i asked for her address, refused, said she'd only been calling for a month, that they were not a collection agency but a 'mediation service.'  supervisor Stephanie Martin came on line, said they'd never called me before today, i'd be taken off list.  i said i'd been trying to stop calls for a year and a half.  also refused address then hung up.

Stephanie Martin from this number has called several of my husband's ex-wife's family members and now our home. They will not give any information unlessyou give them yours first. From all I can find, this is a bs scam.

The guy called my phone asking for someone that was not me. I told him he had the wrong number and he told me I was a liar and continued to call me back. My boyfriend answered the phone and the guy calling yelled at him that we were both liars and that he did not have the worng number.

This has never happened to us! I'm glad I wasn't being too gullible tonight! They call from the same phone number 1-866-460-4260. The guy said he name was John Shelton. The guy said that he needed to speak to my husband urgently concerning a legal matter. My husband called back and spoke with a female (sounded white). We had to ask for a company name = CRA. They were unable to tell us what that stood for. They were very on edge, argumentative, and sounded threatening at times...claiming they would turn us into the IRS, if we didn't settle this now. They said that this was a last attempt to collect on a credit card debt before legal action would be taken. They stated that this was on his credit report and needed to be taken care of now. They said they only take credit/debit payment (Go figure). The card/debt they were referring to has been taken care of and the card has been canceled for many yrs, and we know for a fact that it is not on the credit report. My husband hung up on the woman, and she called right back from a different #. She said, "Mr. XXXXX, I can't help you with this, if you keep hanging up. What other legit company would ever do that. She was asking for his SS# and all kinds of stuff! I just want to turn these low life losers in, so they can get caught! It's a shame!

It's ridiculous.  These people called at 7:30 in the morning.  

The scammers called again from 831-274-2477.  So happy I have caller ID.  Did not pick up the phone, they left a message.  Said it's an "extremely urgent message" for someone that put my husband name as a contact person.  Told us to relay the message immediately. Is there a way to stop these people from calling?

We received 4 messages from this phone number, they did not stated where were they calling from and regarding what.  They calso make it sound like you are in trouble.

we did received four messages from a lady name Amy and a man with no name, they were stating regarding a urgent and an important case, and given a refenernce number, two more phone number to call back, such as 877-407-9274, 866-374-6604, 866-289-7015.
When I called the number back, it was a answer machine said, you have reach CRA, please leave a message.
I left a message, told them not to call again, or else, I will report them.

Received a message on my home telephone stating this call was for my daughter and it was imperative that she or a registered representative contact this number as soon as possible, continued by giving a 6 digit file number.  When I called and advised I was my daughter's registered representative they said they had to talk to her personally.  Well, guess what ... I know it is a scam!  My daughter will never see the message!

I just got called, too.  A Miss Howard wanted me or a woman named Susan (I don't know any) to call them back at 877-407-9274 regarding CRA case 740-574

The lady called wanted me to relay a message to someone that's supposedly left our phone number as a contact.  She just gave a six-digit case no.  When I asked for what matter is it related to, the lady started yelling and became extremely rude and said it's none of my business.  The phone number that called is 831-274-2477.  She wanted the person to call back at 1-877-407-9274 with just a case no.  What a rude scammer!

SCAM!!!  NOT CREDIBLE!  BE AWARE!  REPORT THESE PEOPLE!

Calling all of my daughter's relatives, threatens to serve paper's, she is going to be arrested, calling her elderly grandparents, parents, says it is on excessive debt on a non existant credit card debt of a limit that she was never approved for.  The woman "FLIPPED" out, was YELLING, CALLED my daughter CRAZY, would not confirm any information.  

My daughter DID return the call from a Mr. CHAPMAN, spoke to a woman, and the woman was DEMANDING A PAYMENT ON THE PHONE AND VERBALLY ABUSING HER, GAVE HER A DEADLINE.  

MY DAUGHTER HAS NOTHING OF THIS NATURE ON HER CREDIT REPORT!!!

TAKING TO MY DUAGHTER NOW, "MR. CHAPMAN" LEFT A MESSAGE ON MY PHONE.  

MY DAUGHTER & HER HUSBAND CALLED BACK AGAIN TO GET ADDRESS & INFO TO SEND A CEASE CALL LETTER/ PER LOCAL MAGISTRATE's advice.  THEN....THEY BEGAN THREATENING TO TURN OVER TO IRS!  AFTER, MR. CHAPMAN'S OFFICE KEPT HANGING UP ON THEM!

THEY ONLY CALL CALL FAMILY MEMBER'S & ASK TO SPEAK TO THE MALE MEMBER OF THE FAMILY.

A friend April just got a call first they said they were CIA- then they state it was a collections call-used extremely abusive language and then refused to give her a company name. I was trying to look up info on this number

I don't know who this is, they first indicated that they had a civil suit that I needed to give a statement for, then when I returned the call, it wouldn't accept my phone call (I have an unlisted number) and when I called back on another line, they told me that they didn't handle civil suits and to give them a 6 digit case number, which I didn't have and they started getting irate...Don't know it pertains to.
