This is not a scam. I spoke with my SecureHorizons agent who performed a three way call between me and customer service. The gentleman I spoke with noted that it indeed is a different number but legitimate as it's a different department. They then connected me to the department and the young man I spoke with was very polite, and didn't ask anything other than the information that was on the letter. They don't ask for your SSN# either, or anything other than your date of birth to verify that you are the correct person. It seems to be on the level as they explain it, making sure that they know whether or not you have other coverage which IS their business.

I received a letter from Secure Horizons requesting information about my health insurance coverage.  They had my date of birth and member I.D.  Their letter states that if I have any questions to call 1 877 416-5191.  I went to Secure Horizons website.  Their customer service number is a 1 800-number, different from this one on their letter.  I'm suspicious.  Anyone else have the same experience?

Secure Horizens benefit coordination dept. Told them I don't answer unidentified 800 numbers. A company that big SHOULD Identify themselves. It might be important to answer their call.  Jerks...

They left a message that they are Secure Horizons, but when I called back, it was not a good number.
