Calls every night around 8, I hear what sounds like a call center in India possibly.

Calls 4 to 8 times a day and never leaves a message or any details!

This number keeps calling my cell phone and he said it was also Allied Interstate and they have not called me or have any info on me. They have called 4 times today and its everyday.  I told him not to call me anymore and to fix the problem, my phone just rang again. I would like a complaint/lawsuit filed against these people for doing this.

Another number by Allied Interstate is 877-231-1547.  Call them and ask for Humayun to get your number removed.  He is the only one there you can actually understand.  He gave me this address to write to:  P.O Box 6123

My gut tells me this is a scam.  In the past they've called asking for different names that don't EXIST!  Made up it seems.  Today when I called the 1547 number that registered on my caller i.d, they had the balls to ask for my grandma who never had a bank account in the U.S or even owned credit cards or EVER applied for any credit or speaks English!  She lives in another country and would only come to the U.S for vacation, which is paid by my parents!  She hasn't set foot in the U.S in over a decade b/c she can't of old age!  

These people piss me off!

This number has called twice now, both times they left no message.
The first time I ignored it after checking here (I check all 800 type calls before returning any of them).
This time I called them back and got an answer before I even heard it ring, they asked if I had gotten a letter or phone call from them, I said yes they had called my cell a couple of times, they confirmed they I was calling from the same number they had called, he read off my number from caller ID, I confirmed that it was correct and he askedto talk to someone named Jose C.
I informed him that this number did not belong to Jose and that I have had this number for over a year, he said that my number would be entered in their database as a wrong number and I wounld not be getting any more calls from them.

We'll see if they keep their word.

They called me twice. I just called it. They picked up right away! I can't hear who they are, but they know my number. I did not use my real name and said I am not who they think I am and said they'll remove my number.

Same calls.  Today I waited and talked to a foreign gentleman.  He was calling to collect on credit card debt.  I informed him that I do not have credit card debt.  He asked for my Social Security Number.  I refused.  Told him we have no business to do since I do not carry credit card balances he was mistaken.  I also informed him my number was on the Do Not Call list.  Thought it might be a phishing scam.

Same as everyone else: random calls at random times.  Even if a message is left, there's no info in it; just dead air space.

These people call for my brother, and ask for him as if he is a woman. His name is clearly not a womans name. Apparently calling due to some medical bills that are past due. When I say no he's not here, they keep persisting and talking about the debt with ME as if I am HIM. That is illegal to divulge his personal financial matters to anyone other than HIM. Not to mention as I've told them, he does not live here and I only see him once in a blue moon. They just called here at 8:30 pm and I tell them EVERY night HEY I HAVE A BABY WHO IS SLEEPING JERKS! They could care less. I always get the "hello hello" for about two mins. During the day, I just pick up and hang up.

I received everyday 4 calls OR MORE from this number!! I hate it!

hooked up answering machine....all they do is say hello...hello...hello, almost like they are from third world country "because of the thick accent and the fact that in my opinion they do not realize that it is an answering machine.

they do not leave a message and they don't say anything when i answer so WTF...how did they get my phone number 3 days old?????????????

they call me ALL DAY, EVERY DAY and I tell them every time to STOP calling me. I don't even know who it is, because I just hear, "hello? hello?" when I answer. ugh

just got a brand new phone number from wind stream 3days old getting calls from port folio and this number... i answer and nobody on the  other end 6 times a day...crap what can i do?

Our home has been received this phone call from 877-416-9562 few times a day since last week. It just keep calling without saying anything, and sometimes just hung up. I tried to return this call back, and I reached to the Lock Smith company. I asked them about it, but the customer service lady told me no body called me.

This call was looking for a relative.  Sounds like a Bill Collector.

I keep getting calls from them too and they don't leave a voicemail at all. I just called back and they were checking why they were calling. When they came back I told them I don't need them to check..just get me off your list. I'm on the do not call list and he said that he'll mark the phone number as not to call. We'll see...

tired of the harrassment they call me at least 10 times a day starting at 8 am till 9 pm isen't there a law against this. If I answer and hang up they just call me right back uhhhh.

Started a few days ago .....first one usually around 5:30am, then 6:30am, again at 7:30am.  They continue sporadically throughout the day.  No messages left and no answer when I pick up.  Really starting to piss me off.

I "just" hung up with this phone number 1-877-416-9562 & spoke with for some time (once all the background noise of what sounded like dishes smacking around stopped) This Allied Interstate Inc. was calling me about a credit card debit 3 years since it became a charged off account. I had to wait for about 20 seconds before someone spoke, the woman's name was "RAGINI" (pronounce like Ra-genie) this is my first contact with them so this address may be a flub, as I experienced with Portfolio collections & Account Services, USA, but here is the address I was giving to send a "cease & desist" letter: Allied Interstate Inc, P.O. Box 6123 Carol Stream Illinois 60197. (opened another browser window & got a positive google hit, evidently this is where they ask their $$ to be sent also)

 If anyone is in severe credit damage like me, I'm sure with the economy, this might help a little, I downloaded a cease & desist sample letter. And I whit outed where it said co. name here, yours here, address blah blah blah. And I made a bunch of copies. Then I just fill in my name & address, co. name & address, & my account info. sign date & mail away. I got tired of trying to "hand write" ea. one. The most pertinent is hand written & it even put Portfolio Recovery services to a halt.

have absolutely had it with these collection co.'s  I have had 2 others severely harassed me & I "fed up" & I'm taking them as far as every tiny little 16th of a fraction consumer credit protection right will let me. I don't care if I win them all, I will bring them all to the table. And I hope I encourage others to follow through to the complete protection of their rights & "don't give up"

 I was married & my ex-husband DEMOLISHED my credit, I have court orders for him to pay allot of this, but in the time it takes to enforce I have been screamed at, called a "stupid, stupid woman", cussed, threatened with lawsuit, portfolio would call me 30 times a day, & on Sundays, 3 Sundays in a row, last straw they called me on Halloween while I was trick-or-treating with my 5yr old son!! I got tired of the anxiety, so I turned the tables, I called them a few times a day, until they got the cease & desist, told them I "still" didn't have the money, nothing had changed in 3hrs, but thought I'd call them anyways. I would e-mail them daily & call to let them know. Trust me was not easy or fun, but I wanted them to taste it, & they did. They wouldn't want to answer, cause they have caller ID, so I'd let it ring 40-50 times till they finally did. I hope they google their name & keep up with down low on them, I hope they read this & see my name. I am coming. It will take time, but with time my case just keeps piling the violations on, & oh yea, if you are reading this you "know" you have severely violated the F.D.C.P.A! & I'm seeking "full" restitution & justice for my violated life & rights you have caused.

three days ago they start call me two or three time a day and when i pick up the phone they don't say nothing and hang up that is a bad call so i would like to report this phone call and the phone company has responsible for their customer doing a bad call to everyone.

They called me twice already today, I have no idea why their calling, they called twice in 2 hours, why do they call people, iv'e gotten other calls similar to this in the past, but they were at least political, Very irratating. someone needs to file a lawsuit against them.

Its the third day in which Ive been receiving calls from them. Like everyone else, they don't say anything when I answer or even leave a voicemail. It wouldnt be so bad if they didnt call me at 8 in the morning and wake me up! Im getting really irritated!

They never answer when I do. They started calling a few days ago, about 4-6 times a day. As I type this I just got an accidental voicemail from them. Lot of background noise and some girl talking to somebody in another language. Cute.
