Gloma Financial Services called me, and said I owed a doctor's group $197+.  They wanted me to pay immediately.  First, they gave me the wrong group phone number to call to verify the debt.  Second, I had never received any of the billings allegedly sent to me.  I got the correct number, called them, verified there was a debt, and paid it.  This was after Gloma told me I was incoherent.  I'm really disappointed with this doctor's group, and I will try to avoid it in the future.

Nate, I am offended by your comment. Inability to pay debt comes in many forms. Not all are due to people creating debt with no intention to pay/repay. Death in the family, injury at work or another type of accident, divorce, lose of job.... Those are only a few. If at some time one of these things happen to you and you are unable to pay your debt, I hope those around you do not make unfair assessment and place judgment on you. You may be fortunate but you are not considerate of other people's misfortunion. That is sad. I feel sorry for you that you are unable to be empathetic.

Just pay your debts you losers and nobody will send you to collections

Someone named called from this number and insisted that if I was listening to the message then I was verifying that I was this person who didn't live at my home.  I don't know the person calling and this company leaves a message about once a week.  Does anyone know how we get them to stop?  I tried calling them back to let them know they were calling the wrong #, but they treated me rudely and insisted they were in the right.  I hate calls like this!

I have also been accosted by this company, Gloma Financial Services. According to my phone company, Qwest, one can mail them a cerified letter stating to cease all future communications. Federal law then compels them to stop if the debt is not valid, as in statute of limitations has run out. These scammers buy old debt that can be decades old and try to trick you into paying it by making you a "generous offer". DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. Send letter to 3930 Oregon St. Suite 200 San Diego, CA 92104 by certified mail to receive a record that it has been delivered. Good luck.

A Cease and Desist Letter requires them to stop all contact even if the debt IS valid..... you can look up Cease and Desist letters on line you can use.... and if they do call your work after you notify them they may NOT , you can sue them.
There IS a current investigation regarding this company, so FILE a complaint with The Federal Fair Trades , who is the FTC....

they have been calling me every day - we don't have debt AT ALL - and one guy said it was important information and knew WHERE I WORK - this pisses me off - how can they find this stuff out?

this finacial instituton took 129.24 from our checking account we didn;t know who this was.  didn't get call. if we did don't remember.

did reverse lookup on this company.  phone number belongs to Gloma Financial Services.  they are listed on the San Diego Tax management report.  they obviously don't verify the number they are calling to see if in fact they are calling for actually resides at that number.  Or, they don't care.  they get a phone #, make up a name, and decide to phish - they count on people correcting them and giving them info in the process.  Scammers!
