Pete is absolutely correct. This is a method used by that collection agency to get you to call in. They've already attempted to contact you repeatedly by phone and have obviously failed to reach you. So they employ this method of fooling you into believing you're going to get a free phone just so you'll call in. A creative tactic but very dubious.

They are a collection agency Collection Services Group to be exact.

They will attempt to get you to contact them in regards to getting a "FREE" LG Cosmos cell phone.
Once you call they will say "this is an attempt to collect on a debt owed....."

I number is for a company called "TransMobile" which tries to sign people up for Verizon Wireless phones. They give you this long strung-out, obviously scripted offer about these great wireless plans and how they blow other wireless companies out of the water. If they're not out there calling you, they're sending you these fake "attempt to deliver" notifications in the mail. (green with a special code at the top). This very number is attached to the postcard. When you call, it's the same scripted offer. Just say no and tell them you're not interested.
