Verizon sucks and they call every freakin minute trying to sell something. My phone line is always down for a couple days when it rains. Switching to vonage
Kim 2013-02-25 18:26:31 Unknown
They called me and did leave a message. It's legit. It's FIOS. Now hopefully they will not continue to call....

Like Natalie said, I am a recent customer of Verizon's FiOS service, so getting a call on this number makes some sense. However, I do not answer numbers I do not recognize. Ever.
It was over two weeks ago that I ordered the service and had it installed, so why are they just now calling me if it's a "thank you" as people are saying? That's dumber that a bag of hammers...

You can thank me for becoming a Verizon customer by not calling my cell phone repeatedly and then not leaving a message. Repeated unsolicited, unwanted, pointless phone calls make me want to become a former customer.

Just because you got a new number and gave it only to one person does not necessarily mean that no one else will be able to call you. There are companies that set up computers that literally tries all possible combinations of phone numbers to make telemarketing calls. And they will record numbers that ring so that even unlisted numbers can continue to get calls in the future, since once they record your number (which you thought only one other person knew), that number will be part of a database that will be sold to other telemarketers. FCC tried to track these companies down, but couldn't because they are all based overseas, making calls via VOIP, which is extremely cheap even for international calls.

Try FIOS then
Dirty Harry 2012-12-04 20:41:06 Unknown
OK. All these posts here are saying its Verizon calling but almost always leaving no message. I just had Fios installed 2 weeks ago and if its a ' thanks for choosing Fios " kind of call then my CID shouldn't say
" Unavailable " instead of " Verizon. "
Would you let a surgeon operate on you who gives his name as " Unavailable " ?
HUH ! My Call Blocker doesn't allow a name such as " Unavailable " to ring my home phone so they got
booted off the line by it.
Comcast calls just as much and they too get booted by my Call Blocker. God knows why Comcast is calling me since I closed my account with them when I got Fios.

Verizon FIOS, Calling to thank me for my recent order.

I also received a message from this phone number on 9/17/2012 at 2:21 pm. They left a robo message stating they were verizon etc. since we just had FIOS installed.
1) Why doesn't their name "VERIZON" show up on the caller ID instead of UNAVAILABLE. I actually might answer it if you are brave enough to show who's calling. Which makes me wonder if it REALLY is Verizon or did they hire a company to do this for them?
2) If i receive as many calls as others have stated, I will CANCEL my FIOS and switch to COMCAST in a heartbeat.
Thanks.

You can register a complaint with the FCC on line. When they get numerous complaints on a number or company, they will take action (fines and pulling their phone service). The web site is www.fcc.gov/complaints. Fill out the form and send it to them.

I recently ordered Fios, so it makes sense that this was Verizon. With that said, you'd think (after calling three times already today, and it's only 2 pm) that they'd leave a message.
Jason 2012-07-12 14:26:08 Unknown
Leaves no message.

I ordered Verizon on the first of the month and have received something close to over 15 calls from this number. The ONLY thing I have from Verizon is their damn internet. Every call is either insanely early in the morning or really late at night. I can't say how many times this damn call has woken me up. Super annoyed with Verizon right now. And to make matters worse, it's a computer generated call. Either there is no message on the line, or it's a thank you message for ordering their product.
Great. I ordered your product. Not your phone. SO WHY is my cell phone getting bombarded with these calls??? I have AT&T for a reason. -_-
How are they not on top of how many times a customer gets called with this bs?

They must be recycling old numbers. I got a call from this one, but it was not FIOS, it was the power company verifying billing arrangements.

I recently switched to FIOS for my home. Received several phone calls from this number but a message is never left.
bob 2012-02-01 18:45:18 Unknown
why it is necessary to cold call someone during the morning, afternoon, and evening to play a recorded thank you message? i don't get it. confirmed verizon, though.

I had FIOS installed 2 weeks ago, when I also changed my phone number (which I've since only given to one of my doctors.) While in my sick-bed, calls from this number woke me twice this morning. The 3rd time they called I was awake, because I can't get back to sleep after being awakened, twice. I picked up the receiver on the 3rd call and held the line open for 7 seconds before I hung-up. Then, I picked up my TV remote and blocked the phone number. While I appreciate being able to block the phone number, I haven't even received my first bill yet and after 3 calls to customer service and now this ... I'm not a happy customer. The worst part is knowing even though I have 2 weeks to cancel and get out of my contract, Bright House (the carrier I switched from) employees ruder, stupider and more incompetent people than Verizon. I don't get it ... Verizon has my email address and I have voice-mail set up. If they have ANYTHING to say to me, they need to email or leave voice-mail. Because, the luxury of knowing I've only given my phone number to one person is having no qualms about blocking any other phone number, or if I'm in the right mood - picking up the receiver and launching into a tirade (which is a unique way to blow off steam and alleviate accumulated stress.) Try it. It will make you feel better.

Must have been Verizon. Recently had FIOS installed.
exaa 2011-12-22 19:00:12 Unknown
First time they called, I did not answer and no message was left. Second time, I answered, and it was Verizon thanking us for signing up for FIOS.
Xanadu 2011-11-15 15:06:56 Unknown
Got FIOS installed last week so I guess this thread confirms it is them. Caller ID showing the call a couple times a day while I'm at work.

FOIS Sucks
D 2011-10-18 14:18:32 Unknown
Yes, it is a thank you call for subscribing to Fios. Hopefully they will stop calling.
Pizzle 2011-10-05 17:49:57 Unknown
Same here. No message but recently had fios installed.
Josh 2011-09-21 14:37:59 Unknown
No message. Just got FIOS, so must be Verizon. Very unprofessional. If you're going to cold-call someone, you NEED to leave a message.
Kat 2011-08-24 14:22:43 Unknown
Not sure exactly who this is, since when I picked up I didn't hear anything for a good 10 seconds or so. Experience says that it is probably verizon updating me about my contract or something. It could also be that god awful annoying "HI you've won a ticket to a cruise" recording.

Got 2 calls from this number. 1-877-439-7437. OK, Verizon I have the triple play. Big deal, send me a thank you with the bill. or better yet LOWER MY BILL and stop with the attempted thank you calls.
Patrick Durkin 2011-07-13 17:47:04 Unknown
This number keeps calling me repeatedly and no message, just hang ups. It is calling a few times a day. Seems to be computer generated. Please help me make it stop.

Fios thank you call
