Your company called me at 6:30 am asking what my name is and stating that I owed on a past due bill.  I advised what bill they said one from the year 2000 for $3,00.00 person on line first was female then was male I asked him what this was about he kept insisting that I owed this money I said I had never taken a loan for that amount.  He advised if I wanted to speak with a Supervisor I said yes  upon being tranferred the woman said ----- I said no she said who is ----- I said my daughter she said then tell her she needs to give us a call.  I advised I have not seen or spoken to my daughter in over 6 years and this is personal with my daughter and myself.

The supervisor Amy Wright was reluctant to give me her name. I asked how do you spell last name right or wright, I asked to speak with her manager she said she was it.  I said I wanted to speak with someone higher than her, Amy advised of number 847-445-2975 after  giving me the number Amy said now you go back to sleep.  I called that number and woman on line said was a personal number and i explained situation,  Wman said sorry this is a personal number.  First Amy told me the Name of company is CAPITAL MANAGEMENT    I called number 877-445-2975 and female on phone said this was INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT ?   So far these people have been very rude and I called number again and spoke with female I advised wanted address she put me on hold and hung up on me.

Was in Europe for a month to come home to voicemails from this number, we got two in all.   It was from a gentleman named Steve Feilds.   He was asking for my wife and giving her some notice of intent and something with our property, and demaned a call back as the issue is time sensitive.
We tried to call this number back and it just went to a answering machine, not with the companies ID ect.   we thought right away scam!        We do have a credit monitoring service, thankfuly nothing negitive.

Thanks to this sight it looks like a debt collector-we dont have any debt and own our house out right.     It seems to be a scam-these messages where left 3 weeks ago.

Started to get messages from this company last week! however they calling the wrong number.   When I call it back the number in reference above 8774452975 it goes right to a generic voice mail, not identifying the company or anything.      I left a voice mail to demand for them to stop calling my phone number, guess what got home yesterday another message for the same guy I never even heard of before.
these calls are annoying and unwanted.      Clearly on our home phone voicemail greeting  identifies us, why cant the idiot who is calling cannot figure it out he has the WRONG NUMBER.

These guys are dead serious, I thought I could just ignore them and they would simply disappear.    I was wrong as I got sued.     They flew there attorneys to my city to meet me in court, they came with all of the proper documentation so they won the lawsuit and got a judgement against me.      My orginal balance was 7k but they added the cost of attoneys/courts that grew to 15k.     They where able to seize all of my money in my checking account aswell as granishing my paycheck 25%.    Here is the thing I recived a call from them willing to settle my 7k debt for 3k!!!    I wish I took that settlement once they get a judgement against you no more settlemets.

some more violations a call before 8am again AND threating a notice of intent when they dont have a leg to stand on Past the SOL.
Google FDCPA you can get a pdf of the guidliness U should read it, BTW FDCPA is a federal government mandate not just the state of TX       DURRRRRRRR!  again DurrrrrRRRR...    Seems like u got a issue with Texas come and visit and call us all ignorant!

I paid my price with bad credit!!!    I ended up paying sub prime rates on my home and cars so I did get punished.     How is it ethical to buy debt past the SOL or not valid debt for pennies on the dollar and hustle people illegaly "FDCPA" to make obsene profit.

Now my credit report is flawless, and yes I have a homedepot credit card sorry pal!      I also work very hard with a good job, plus I donate to charities.          I know I have a few very old debts out there but why should I pay them when they are not enforceable in court AND a company such as Investment Management buys this junk debt for pennies on the dollar-even if they are nice enough to settle 50% they make a huge profit.

Investment Management how orginal! lol anyone can buy a portfoilo of old debt, this idiot is sitting in his basement.

Please do your research when dealing with folks such as this one!

The rise of collection law firms. In the past, people often were given the advice not to talk to debt collectors -- to simply hang up when they called. The idea was that anything you said could be used against you, so it was better to say nothing. These days, however, people who refuse to talk to collectors may be more likely to get sued.

"More creditors are working with collection law firms," as opposed to regular collection agencies, said credit expert Gerri Detweiler, author of several books on savings and debt. "If you don't respond, you could run the risk of triggering a lawsuit."

It may be your debt after all.The debt may be the result of a dispute and you may well feel it's unfair, but that doesn't mean the collection agency has the wrong person.

Don't try to pretend you don't know anything about a debt if you do. Instead, see whether you can settle the problem with the original creditor or negotiate with the collector to settle the debt in exchange for removing it from your credit report. You can always sue the original creditor in small-claims court, but allowing an unresolved debt to trash your credit is foolish.

These people dont have to be nice to you. They technically dont even have to call you. The scarey thing is that most consumers will not show up to the court date because they refuse to beleive what they are being told which grants the agency a default judgement which in most states will make the next ten years of your life hell... loseing 25% of all taxable income before you even see your check payroll deducts it, as well as bank account garnishments and leins on property owned.

Its scarey that they give companies like this so much power but if not for their aggressive actions banks would not give anybody loans because of the highrisk of have zero return... Look at our ecomemy people its time for us all to be adults and pay back our responsibilities no matter how old or how badly the origanal company screwed us over. these collectors have nothing to do with the bank we got the money from and will sue you no matter what you say on the phone. if you tell them wrong number enough times they will just give up and sue you and there is no way to avoid that. trust me im paying 700 a month extra on my mortgage through a lein...

this is a ghost company for reliant recoveries inc./Green Tree Acq.    they are bottom feeder junk debt buyers.
My advise is to seek an attorney dealing with a FDCPA-the poster above is a classic example of what an employee from this scum bag company would say trying to scare everyone.    Most of there debts are past the SOL and there is many cases with various state attorney generals offices against these crooks.
google the FDCPA there you can see how many violiations they commit.      This company will also call you to say 'you have won a vacation" to trap you to call them.

When a debt collector decided to sue you they will do just that, no calls warning ect.     They dont call and bug you for months on end.

WE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT COMPANY.

Those people at reliant are in washington state we have dealt with them before. IM&Rinc is located in florida. we do not and will not work along side any other agency we are our own. i dont understand why we get bombarded with their paperwork and accounts. probably some angry employee thats mad that we collected from someone they couldnt.

The best advice i could give any consumer in collections is to talk with who calls them instead of getting all upset. and listening to rumors on the internet.

If people beleive everything they read on the internet then apparently our society has fallen to ignorance and stupidity.

Had one voice mail going through all of the legal BS, finally I answered a call and it was a guy named 'jackson'   calling to collect on a debt that was discharged from a bankruptcy discharge 7 years ago.   He said my account went through a forensic audit and therefore, by claiming I still owe the money and will sue to recover the balance, there they will put a lein on my home and garnish my wages.      He was willing to settle a 9k debt for a one lump sum payment of 4k right then.      I simply ended the call guess what three new messages right after that to which I called my attorneys paralegal.    She did research and found there is no company that works in collections under the name of investment management, she either said its a generic name for another company or a basement scam.      I forwarded my voicemails too her and my attorney will take care of this quickly, plus you have to be licensed in the state of Michigan and they are not in that data base.

You may be right about who this company is, but I must correct one thing you said.  You said these companies won't call you for months on end but will just sue you with no warning.  I experienced the opposite of that.  Capital One called me and sent me mail relentlessly for months.  Then one day a guy showed up with lawsuit papers.  So sometimes you get both - the harrassment and the lawsuit!

They may have covered their butts in this respect.  On my message, he said he was calling "on behlf of Investment Management."  Of course it's still a scam, and it still doesn't answer the question of who they are - now, who BOTH companies are - and if either of them are licensed as debt collectors, or law firms or whatever they profess to be!  What we do know is, they're idiots!!

We would be happy to deal with these collectors if they were not rude, refuse to listen, and do nothing but threaten and badger us into doing what they want with no consideration for us!  I have in the past done everything possible to cooperate, but now no more, because it got me no where.  They somehow believe that using these aggressive tactics with get them their money, and maybe it works on some people who are easily intimidated.  But I still think the lesson we learned as kids would serve them much better:  you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

I had two collection experiences in my entire life that were actually pleasant and respectful, and I bent over backwards to pay those bills off as soon as I was able, even before others that may have been older or more worthy.  Just because I felt understood, respected, and received considerate concern.

I have been getting rude voicemails from this company forwarding me a formal notice of intent, the last one said you have two options to call us bank and handle this in a voluntarly fashion or involuntarly.    I would love to meet them in court as I am betting this is a zombie debt collector, my response would be a counter suit.   I know all of my old debts are past the states SOL in TX in a matter of fact a year ago I was sued by a zombie debt collector in response I found a great consumer rights attorney who was able to get the case dismissed and filed a counter suit for false documents.         I ended up with a extra 10k for my troubles via the FTC violations.
pucker up A-hole bring it on.     I already have you on 6 violations

Debt Collector
When you get approached with an old debt, this comany is a zombie debt collector-KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.   google FDCPA.      When you do get a call answer it let them tell you in detail what they are are calling about, try to get an address.     Then hang up the phone.     rethink about how old this debt is, there is a tool debators can use its called the statue of limitations, google SOL debt.       It it gets too bad contact a consumer rights attorney they will send them letters to stop contact or they will file a lawsuit per FDCPA violations.
