My call was also from the above listed number 631-873-4584
Smooth talking female... Began conversation with congrats, calling to confirm information (Huge red flag)... Telling me initially I had been nominated for an international nursing award, then when I asked who nominated me, she switched to I had applied for it myself.  I knew that was NOT true, never toot my own horn, so then told her she had interrupted my sleep, and I would need to check out where I supposedly nominated myself. She directed me to inanurse.com and is going to call back in a few... I've blocked her number. Definitely fishing for personal information....

my call was from 1-631-873-4584. The woman Identified herself as Paula (Mirabellum-spelling?) calling from the International Nursing Association. Very pushy and talky. I listened too long, but then realized it was a scam when she insisted I had to pay now or else I may not get another opportunity. when I called the number back they answered it International Association of Healthcare Professionals, and at the end they asked if you were a patient, press....what the heck? definitely a scam

I just received a call also from this "organization" and their who's who book...first thing they teach you in advancing your degree is that .com is not a reliable source of things. They hire people who entice nurses to pay them money to be "published" and start off with a huge amount for the "diamond plan" then go down to the "gold", then "bronze", etc..and it's only $34.95 per month. When something sounds too good to be true...it usually is...tried to find a book but only was able to find excerpts. Never heard of it before. Someone is making a  __it load of money if people are falling for this scam.

This female caller, very persistent in getting my money. Goes by the name of Katia, was a man first of which I never called back.  I responded to Katia because she called me at work and I don't know how she got my number. Very friendly and boasting of how great I was, but not telling me who nominated me, not even when she mentioned cost to be paid, I think this should be free or be paid by who ever nominated me. I have never seen this so called magazine so I thought I should research this so called exclusive org. And am very glad I did. If this persist I will be forced to report this person and so called organization.  So Katia, if you are reading this, I am urging you to stop the calls before you get in big trouble!! THIS IS A VALID WARNING!!!

I'm so glad I found this page. I received a postcard & replied about being selected for INA International Nurses Association. About 1 month later I received a call from a lady with a New York accent-actually a voicemail message that she wanted to discuss my credentials. I got really busy & wrote her phone # down but didn't get back to her. She sounded very professional & legit. I recently received a 2nd message which was night & day from the previous message. I could tell she was working in a very loud call center type environment...very different image I have now. I'm not going to call back! I'd like to keep my $799.00

Yes I got a call also. I told them upfront I'm not paying any fee to buy a book or need any other networking that I have enough. They asked me what was my motivation for being in their book. I told them just to be known amongst my peers. But I was used to this scam before by other companys. I told them I'm too old for this and let them know right away that other people warned me of this scam . Don't ever give your info or money to a tone that's not reputable. You should not have to pay to be in a publication. And they say you met all the criteria when they know nothing about you. And they kept calling me doctor for the physicians manual. I'm not an md I'm a PhD. And I'm not a physician I'm an slp. So that should tell you they are crooked

also, exercise caution if the call from a local number. I got all the same accolades, that I was nominated for this "honour" and offers for "benefits" and blah blah blah I was hooked until she brought up the money end of it. Being a perdiem nurse, I told her I couldn't afford the exorbitatent initial cost plus monthly dues. She kept reducing the amount, then said she'd sponsor my membership fee, but I'd have to pay the monthly dues. I didn't get a good feeling about it. I never received anything in the mail. I asked how they got in touch with me, and she said it was based on an online application (thought I was "nominated"). I looked in my history to find no such thing. I said no thanks.
I did notice they have a Facebook page, and another websit that upon skimming looks ok, but cold calls-don't give money to anyone!!!

I spent 20 minutes of my precious time on the phone with these people. Did not give them my info. Then that night, I realized I did not know who their governing body was, no RN names, etc. When they called me the next day I told them I wanted something in writing, hemmed and hawed all over the place. I said thank you and hung up. NEVER give out your personal info or credit card number to a stranger.

I can't believe I fell for this!!  Exact same story, diamond membership for $899.00 and a monthly fee of 34.99.  She spoke very fast and, not knowing who you are talking to....I kind of got swept away.  How embarrassing.  My ego got the better of me and I thought I would be a nursing star!  Haha.   The transaction went through within the hour and when I came to my senses and started investigating I found this site. How frustrating.  I called back to 'cancel my membership' and got the 'we will call you back".  What a fast talker!  I cancelled my credit card and have spoken to the fraud department... all I can do. Hopefully I won't have to pay the charge.  Something I can't get back though.... all the personal and professional information I gave her!!  Lesson cost: $899.99

Hi, I would like everybody to be careful of those phone calls from unidentified association as following numbers. I've been missing phone calls from the same number four or five times from USA since last month. I was wondering who could be.... Finally, I have got managed to chat with this caller who stated as a representative of 'International Nurses Association' from USA. She asked me several questions about my work and the reasons to be successful nurse and etc. Then, she told that I have been qualified to be a member of International Nurses Association. She has explained that there are two different status of membership to choose from. One is platinum membership, which cost me US$799.00 and other one is Diamond membership, which cost me US$599.00 per year. I was not interested to pay that amount of money at once. So, I have asked her if she could send me some details of membership benefit. Then, she said that membership directory will be published with my details on it very soon, so she wants to me to decide and pay for the membership fee right away. I have softly tried to decline joining into association at that time. then she said that "I can sponsor you, so you can pay monthly payment start with US$34.95 per month." Then, I have agreed and gave her details of my credit card for the payment. She gave me her contact number included extension number before I finished conversation with her. I have searched through website for the contact number for International Nurses Association. Then, I have discovered that the contact number she has gave it to me was totally different with what it is on their website. Then, I have contacted to my bank and explained the circumstances. I have followed their instructions. The contact number YOU need to be careful is +122333122333 (This is the number they are calling from, but you can not call to this number)

Prank Call
Received a call from this number after I had registered earlier on the web of International Association of Health Care Professionals. TT Jennifer Russo who stated that I had been selected as a who's who in professional nursing for a publication in the International Nurses Association for 2013. She then told me that I could choose to be part of the platinum or gold member status and that I would only have to pay a one time fee of 799.00 for the Gold member status or a 599.00 for the platinum. I asked her to send me something in writing and she stated she couldn't because my personal information would be out there. When I told her that I could not afford the fees, she said she would sponsor me  but I would only have to pay $34.95 a month. this is definitely a scam.

Hello, I received a phone message from this number. I registered earlier this months on the web of International Association of Health Care Professionals so when I received a phone message from  Ms.Paula Miedela who presented herself as a member of the International Association of Health Care Professionals, I was not much surprised. As I was told, they collect personal information for physicians across the globe to be able to find each other and communicate easily. At the end they ask to pay fees to be part of the organization. Likely a spam- Be aware!
