I just started receiving these calls to my cell and they will not tell me what this is about.  I figured it was a scam but I did some research and found your site.  The number that calls me is blocked and then they tell me there is a summons on there desk and to call a 1877 number back and gives me a case number, the weird thing is they have my parents address for me I havent lived at home for over 3 years (lost my job) had to move back home for a bit.  People these days are crazy..

Got a call from these scum -
Attourney advised me  
! - Tell them to send you something in writing
2 -If they a sk for your address don't give it to them
3 - tell them they should have it already if this is legit.    
       BEST THING TO DO IS RECORD ANY OF THESE CALLS - they don't like that
They should be able to send you one of those little green certified cards in the mail - don't always respond to them though unless attourney o k's it

Do not pay them and ignore their calls. Report them ! If enough of us report the phone number,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          they will get caught or disconnect the phone number. It has happened to me before and if they are frauds, they will change their name  & phone number.

i am sceptical about this caller.....did anyone acctually recieve papers? although they seem bogus its still worries me :)

Received another call today threatening me from mark fisher.  i am so scared of these calls. i have tried to call back to let them know i am looking into my payoff to this loan in the past that is cleared with the company.  thhey do not want to hear it.

I got a call today on an account i paid off over a year ago.  The lady jamie said they frauded me and she if the company collecting on this bill.  she said they took my money and never paid the loan out.
i have the paid off confirmation number.   wow is all i can say. I am totally disabled and get a very small ss check due to i had to stop working tooo early in life.   what do i do.   she is making me so afraid that i started to have a panic seizuer attack.   wants money tomarrow to start a payment plan.  what should i do i have all my receipts.

Is there a way to report this phone number to an authority? Why are they still in operation?

These People are IDIOTS!  They have been calling me non stop just like everyone else is saying. Saying that I owe for a loan from 2008.   Told me they were MP Group Maybe NP not sure but couldn't even tell me what it stands for.  They kept changing their stories and wanted all kinds of info from me.  Didn't give it but scary thing is that they know a LOT of my info already! DO NOT PAY these people.  It is most DEFINITELY a scam.  They would not warn you if you were going to get a summons they would just send it.  Plus, they leave a RECORDED voice mail saying that I can get a hold of the plaintiff at 18774487978... They are not the plaintiff!!!!!  They wont stop harassing me and my poor grandma.  These people need to get a life, they are not smart and hopefully will eventually get caught.  SCUM BAGS

I got this same call the other day and I believed them . I had taken a loan 3 years ago that i did pay off from a moneyandmore payday company. This same caller had all of the old information including my old bank account information. After researching my info I realized i had paid that debt long ago. I am so glad I Googled this phone number. I called them back and told them they were not to call me again and they should be ashamed of themselves targeting people who are stuggeling to get by with a family. Theses people are sick.

I received the same call within 3 min ago and I looked up the number and was reading what you guys have here. I'm happy I lookup the number!

I was repeatedly called from a blocked number and left a message stating "payday loan from 2008.. you will be summoned to court, last chance to contact the plaintiff, check fraud....ect ect" They left the callback number of 877 448 7978. Identified themselves as NP group.

They also somehow got phone numbers of family and friends and let them know I would be taken to court, owed money, ect, ect

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD. Don't give out any information and Report them to the Federal Trade Commission. They violate many of the laws in the Fair debt collections act which is a HUGE red flag. Arm yourself with knowledge and present that knowledge to them next time they call. I'm sure you won't be bothered again.

Suggestion - most telephone service providers have an option to not receive calls from blocked numbers...have that turned on.  This would prevent a lot of unwanted calls - telemarketing and all.  These guys tried to call me but I guess they had to unblock the call to me....so it seems like the scammers are calling from 716-247-5111.....I have a phone dialer here (this machine keeps dialing the number and can make the far end phone line busy for ever)...thinking about turning this on them...

Holy crap! Those people have called me at work, then twice at my home.  Then I find out that they called my ex-husband and asked him for my phone number.  I don't even have my ex's new phone number, don't know how they got it.  Going to work with a lawyer to take care of this matter once and for all, they have broken so many rules.

I just got this call after they called my parents and got my number from them - do they really think that people will buy this?! If you are going to be served with a summons, you will be served in person without a warning phone call! Give me a break!

I have received the same messages from Ashley Cambia. I suspected a scam and it looks like this confirms it. The number shows up on my phone as Unknown, but the 877-448-7978 number is referenced in the message. I definitely won't be returning any of these calls.

These people are so STUPID.  They text my Mother on New Years Day saying they would be at my house tomorrow to serve me Papers and things would get really bad from here on out.  HAHAHAHAHA... STILL WAITING.  What kind of reputable company would have it's employees:  1)  Text someone 2)  On New Years Day 3) say they are coming on a National Holiday which was 1/2/12 (banks, court houses etc are closed)  

I think they think my Mother will feel sorry for me and pay the BOGUS charge they say I owe.  Get a real job people.  Mike Shinta, there are plenty other jobs that you will be proud of yourself at the end of the day.  STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE YOU SCUM BUCKETS!!!!!!!.

I received a phone calls from this people many times, with a case number, and they told me is my last oportunity to paid or they will send me to court, and i don't have any case pending and so nasty people calling and block the number and i got the number from my friends with the same issued, i think we living in a free country and not one have rigth to make phone calls like this.
Nothing surprise me at this time, this country full of scam and people trying to trick you....

Thank you for this info! I have been recieving the same calls, from the same name, and he gives me the same info and response!  He had a lot of my info, but when I refused to give him any further personal info and asked him if I can have his companys name and info so that my Lawyer may call him he quickly told me "good luck in court" and hung up. Right then and there I realized that it was a scam and started searching the net for more info.

For the past 24 hours I have received 2 voicemails from this so called Jeffrey Wheeler, since I have not returned his call, he has threatened me that I will be served at work or at home.   I wish I could block the number but in come through as a Private Number.   I really feel bad for the folks that fall for this scam.  How can we report these scammers?

In the last 24 hours I received voicemails from Jeffrey Wheeler, since I did not return his first voicemail he has threatened me that I will be served either at work or home.  He also gave me a case number.  I feel a little better to have seen your message, I was really concerned someone was going to be knocking on my door.   You wonder how many people, specially older folks fall for this scam.

Received the same voicemail message as many of the people above.   The only difference is the message was not even for anyone living in this house.   It was for a relative (who is hearing impared).   I am so happy there are websites like this one to give out great information.   Thanks for the heads up.

Got this same type of call two days ago from Karen Hughes complete with a case number.  Funny thing is she was calling for a lady that I do not even know!  It's sad when you get these harrassing calls and they're not even for you!

Received a call from Dillion Murphy stating that a summons had been received on his desk and that I had one day to call or be served.  I am glad that I looked up this number to see that it was a scam.  The message sounded if a computer was talking.
