Got a call from this number for someone else. Lady on the message was very rude! Tryed calling the number back but no answer. Do not know what the company is.

I received a VM from a Brittany, saying she was going to be in my area Friday Nov 5th, 2010 to serve me regarding a civil matter. In her VM she stated I need to call 1-877-449-2426, case number 242659 in order to resolve this matter  outside of court. Her last statement was you have been notified!  I called the number and the message that came on did not identify who  the company is , it  just said you have reached us outside of business hours to call back during  business harassment!

got same message friday when i called the number that was left the guy was rude and told me they were form cases back in 2005 that i have no clue about. got a call from brittany again today saying she was in teh area for the next 48 hours an dleft me the 877 number to call again. spoke with a lawyer who said they do not contact you before serving you papers and gave him the numbers that were left to see what he can find out.

I got the same message today and friday. I think it is just another telephone scam.

When I called they asked me for my SS# and when I refused to give it to them, they hung up on me.

Also, if this truly is a debt collector, they cannot leave personal information on an answering machine, yet that is exactly what they did. They can also not "notify" you that you're being served over the phone.

I was given similar threats as all of you, yet so far, nothing has come to it.

Who can we report this to?

This guy just called my home phone.  Knows my ssn, address, etc.  What to do?

i just got this call too! stating they were serving me papers next week and i could call this number to handle any legal opportunities outside of court. i called and the guy stated i owed money to a check cashing service as well. i asked if it was a scam and he started to give me a case number. then in the middle of the conversation he asks someone else at his office for a tissue he had something in his eye. completely random and if this was real i dont think they would be speaking to other employees while on the phone with someone.

Out of the blue they called me from Angel Martinez stating he has a legal affidavit or could be criminal he;s a courier which anyone knows if being sued it comes by constable or sheriff I just started getting these calls out of the blue what they are saying is illegal need to report them right away

I received a call from a person named Angel Martinez from this number claiming that he had a legal affadavit for me to sign and it may be criminal...he stated that i needed to respond asap...I called back and I got a woman named Jennifer...she said that I had a debt to some payday loan co...and I had to pay right then or go to court and would have to pay more fees on top of that... I told her that I had no such amount  of $1100.00. I'm on unemployment right now and looking for a job...She told me that she would give me a few days to borrow the money and then call me back..I tried the number later that evening to see if I could get someone and ask what company this was and I get a message stating that this was not number could not be completed...???Who are these people? and Can they really take you to court?

faxed a verification of employment to my employer wanting all of my personal information.  When I called the number listed, they told me I owed an outrageous amount to a check cashing service.  I laughed and asked if this was a joke.  He then told me I was a joke and hung up on me.

Yeah same here and again this morning.  Called the number back and it was disconnected as it showed a local number.  The 877 number is out of NY according to the caller....lots of back ground noise

Ditto... Where is this company and who are they?   Where are they from?

i received a call from a private courier regarding paperwork for her to serve from the phone number above and i wanted to know if anybody knows who this is?
