This number calls our business a few times a week. Sometimes there is no answer sometimes there is a pause then a person comes on and they ask for the person that handles the at&t account. So rude too, I just said they are on the road and they hung up right away. Don't blame them because I was just about to tell them to QUIT Calling!

Called at 9:20 this morn and same ID showed on another number while talking. Said something about discount rates and ATT . I asked him what hi company name was, he said "preferred", I told him I only deal directly with ATT, no thanks and goodbye. He was still rambling on when I hung up...

(877) 454-1867 did not leave message. Blocked on our Ooma phone system.

I went ahead and registered considering I do love this site, and end up spending what is probably far too much time on here- (My coworkers have officially dubbed me the "Scam expert" because I a.) I answer most of our incoming phone calls and have to deal with these shills all the time, and b.) I look EVERYTHING up on here and report the numbers)- Thanks Tamianth aka. Super Regular!

In this case Mr. Rude did not call back after 20 minutes, but I did get a dead air call from another line that ended up belonging to "Preferred" as well: 949-930-2279

Excellent advice!  Never reply with Yes is right! Use something other then yes to reply, even ask them a question such as who is calling? Who wants to know?  Maybe, why? ...

This guy called from "Preferred" saying he would lower our AT&T long distance rates. Please please please never say the word "yes" on the phone with people like this! They will record you and say you requested services from them and add third party charges to your bill. You can easily call your phone provider and have a block on all third party charges placed on your account- THIS IS FREE and will save you lots of hassle and worry.  No one can change your AT&T rates except AT&T!  

This guy was so rude, when I told him we weren't switching and weren't interested he ignored me, went right on with his spiel, I got fed up, told him to remove us from his list and hung up. He called me back IMMEDIATELY claiming we had been "disconnected" despite the fact I asked him not to call back. I told him we were not disconnected, and Asked him again to remove us from the call list and not call back. He said he'd give me 20 minutes to think about it and call me back yet again!! We'll see if he actually does. What a persistent jerk.

Independent re-seller of services provided by AT&T - not AT&T itself.   This weasel gets a cut of all the services he sells through his tele-terrorist telemarketing activities.

Don't like getting called by this PUTZ?  Simple - call the real AT&T and complain.   They'll have this retard's affiliation information on file and they'll cut him off faster than a gangrenous limb once the complaints start flowing in.

Nothing like a bit of BAD PRESS to create some action.

This goob was just on a fishing expedition - I live in an area that is served by AT&T and BellSouth - so Mr. Schmoe calls up as if I were a long lost good buddy and wants to make sure I am getting the 'best deal' on my phone service.    Funny thing, even though I an IN the area served by both of these companies, I have another provider altogether.   So....if Mr. Schmoe was REALLY from AT&T, wouldn't he know already that I was or wasn't a customer?  Of course, the REAL company would know, but this guy has no access to their info.  He just wants as many people signed up under HIS name as possible so that he can start raking in the 'residuals' each month.

I hate to break it to the Schmoe, but in farm language - residuals are what you shovel off of the stable floor.  

Got a call from this number.  I asked what company he was calling from.  He said Preferred AT&T.  He said they are the company that sends out the AT&T bills for small businesses.  He wanted to verify my information because we are getting a rate reduction.  I asked him to leave his number and I would call him back.  

called our company saying they are going to lower the monthly rate for ATNT because they are losing customers against competitors.. They needed my verification and said just answer yes or no. I said send the document or some kind of form to my email because that's not how it works.
This guy said he will talk with his supervisor and hangs up the phone..

I don't answer unknown numbers like this one.
