People are constantly calling saying they are gona serve with papers at my hone or work. Harassing me.

I just received the same call from Maxine Billings 1/15/14 at 11:45 am, claiming to be an independent processor looking for a family member. She also informed me that by law she was required to give the name and number of the person that would be filing this lawsuit, called D S Associates and left a return # 866-258-4487. Maxine Billings stated that if they did not hear back that they would go to my family members work place with a summons between noon and three and if for some reason my family member wasn't found there that they would go to the residence between three and six. She also stated that if I didn't contact them and did not show up in court that all legal rights would be waived, the Sheriff was coming and so forth. I found it all strange, tried googling the number with no results, so I googled her name instead , glad I did. I wonder who I should report this scam to?

Call very rude I let them have right back. I never had a loan with anybody. I called the people they said I had a loan with and they couldn't verify anything that this company claimed. I told them if they are going to come after me bring it!!!

I have received a couple of calls that were in fact for either my dad or my brother.  They left a threatening message on my answering machine.  I called them back today after realizing they HAVE to be scamming.  I used to work as a paralegal and know that a real legal team would never leave such a message on an answering machine, leaving many details of the so-called "lawsuit" without first verifying it was the correct number.  So, I called them back this morning with the intent of really letting them have it.  I gave them my number so they could look up who they were calling/scamming.  They then said that message was for ***** ******.  I said, yes, and you have the wrong number.  DO NOT CALL MY HOUSE OR CELL AGAIN.  Then they hung up on me.  I'm not sure if I should even tell my dad or brother.  They would probably become worried, but on the flip side, these people are sharing details, whether they are false or not, with other people.  That is illegal. So frustrating!

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

Dexter Jones from Westwood Asset Maqnagement called my home on Wednesday November 14, 2012.  He left a message asking for my daughter-in-law saying a law suit was about to be filed against her.  He gave me a case number of BMD 62266B.  I called my daughter-in-law and she assured me this was a fraudulent call.  Several other relatives have been called in the past 6-7 months claiming the same thing.

Today I "googled" them.  What can I do this halt this?  How did they get my number?

I received a call at work from this number and the person on the other end asked for my Boss. I told them he was unavailable he asked what is the correct steps to serve an employee; when I told him he would need to call our Human Resource Dept. he then asked if he could leave a message for ME. I took down his info. Which was 877-454-5563 to call back and speak with Michael at the finalized dept.  The dump a** thought I was another person, but then called me by my name. They have call and threaten me about being served with papers. They even called a good friend yesterday and pretty much flat out told my friend that he was me. Until he said what?s your number and I?ll call you back to verify my caller ID. This company should be shut down for breaking the Fair Debt Protection Act. They are scum of the earth. Besides I had this resolved about 9 years ago, so I don?t why the bugging me now.

I received a call Heather Goul several times from a private number. I was told I can contact hem them at 877-454-556. They stated I had an outdated loan from 2006 in a state that I wasnt living in at that time. They said that I would have a lawsuit in the amount of over 4 thousand dollars but they could settle for 560.00 which is the amount the original loan was for. I've never seen this on my creit report but I was afraid that I could be stuck with court fees and the 4000 so I gave them my cc information like a fool. I asked that i received something via fax stating what this was for. She said I would receive something in 15 minutes. Well I never did. I am now calling my bank to stop this payment from coming out. I think this is some sort of scam.

So someone been calling me from 877-454-5563 claims to be Matthew Weatherman from Westwood asset management. Said I have a loan from Kenwood services which I know nothing about. Told me a lawsuit is abt to be filed but I can resolve it with him.. 1hr later someone called me saying they are about to come serve me papers but if i give westwood a call and negotiate a deal, she wont come out to serve me papers... A SCAM.. do not fall for this... just tell them that you reported the company and hang up

phone call from Brian Davis saying charges could be brought against me if I don't provide a statement. He was leaving a message for a person I don't even know and doesn't live in this household.  Looked up Westwood Assest management and was relieved to know it's a scam.  I'm not calling him back.  This is terrible!

I been getting the same call from same number 877-454-5563. Talking about a potential law suit for a breached contract. I need to forms of id since i listen to the message now i have been served and i need to call them so they can take care of my potential law suit. Before it was a female calling now is a man David Brown. I never made a contract besides my leasing contract. I dont owe any one no money. So i dont know who these people are. Who the heck are these people. They are crazy...Well it is a scam for sure.. so if you have a block feature on your cell phone i suggest u block them.

Same number- same people except mine was Al Burnsteighn- saying I have a debt from affinity cash loan- never heard of the place. Threatened me, yelled at me etc. etc. etc. When I said I will call back that I needed to think about this- I was told that was not an option and that If I hung up he would have to put my case down as refused to pay. Then when I told him that he would have to send me a bill so I can see this in writing that was not an option either. Unless I paid half right now or made arrangements to have three payments taken out of my account then I would have serious action taken against me.

I received a call from a private number today from Michael Radcliff a pre-legal procesor advising the same as you have all stated. I have a pending lawsuit in McHenry County and if he does not hear back from the processing party by 2PM tomorrow he will proceed to the fullest extent of the law with local and federal charges. I was dooped before and they got over 700 out of me... this time if they call back and I speak with them I will tell them to proceed and if it truely IS a bill I owe- I will pay it through the court system. How do these idiots get all of our personal information?

This call came in from 877-297-7570 called my mothers house looking for me.  Have not called me directly called my mothers house line ?????  stated that there are 2 allegations against me but no other details were left on the message.  The dude's name was kevin or devin from Westwood Asset Management they left a reference number...  

I have not called this number back as I have received a number of calls from different numbers now claiming I have an internet loan that my check came back from the bank NSF dates do not match I have not had an internet loan bank account has been closed even prior to so called check that has NSF funds dates of when loan was made had incorrect employer information attached to the contract.. the person was not willing to send NY kind of bill or copy of said check to me stated that the only way they could send something was if I had made a payment arrangment with them.... these guys are fake you better double check that your identity has not been stolen or anything  like that..... also in the BBB they are not accredited and also have over 170 complaints that have not been settled or responded to.....

they called me too, harrassing my family with there home numbers, which i never gave them the numbers....anyway they called saying if i dont pay money i will be arrested.......i did and 2 months later they are spending  my money on visa in georgia.........my chase bank stopped them........now 2 yrs later they r calling again.........

We're been getting calls and messages from this number for weeks . . . they're looking for someone with our same last name.  I keep telling them our number is not for that person.  They keep saying they will take our phone number out of their system.   Today another call and more persistent . . . they're going to issue a summons for a court case.  we need to call as they want to hear our side before they take action.  I called and told them they have the wrong number and they should stop calling us.  The lady on the other end - a Monique or a Domonique . . got loud and said before I start screaming I'd better listen.  I told her I was not listening and hung up on her.

Received two calls from 877-454-5563, said I had taken out a loan (could not or did not tell me how much) and used a closed account to "pay it back".  I asked if this was being recorded, they stated all calls are recorded, they DID NOT state they were recording the call.  I asked them to not contact me, said goodby, hung up and they called back!  Westwood Mgmt

I also got two calls from this same company, Westwood Asset Mgt, David Anderson.  He was very rude, very threatening saying they were filing a lawsuit against me. I do not have a payday loan, no debts and they refuse to stop calling me. I think we all should file a class action lawsuit against them!

Had a call from this number from Brian Davis saying I owed. Have lawsuit ready.  Does this name ring bell for someone

To whom it may concern:

I received a phone call from a Ms. Taylor on Wednesday October 10, 2012. I didn't answer due to it not being a recognized number and a voicemail was left. In this voicemail Ms. Taylor proceeds to accuse me of owing a debt from 2004. She also stated that this needed to be resolved immediately or a law suit would be filed and said good luck. Then on Thursday October 11, 2012 she contacted my elderly father and shared information with him that broke many laws.
As of today's date your company and anyone who works for your company and or represents your company will cease and desist from all further collection activities to include harassing phone calls to this individual and or his family members.
Per the Florida Statutes 559.55 if there were a debt it is no longer valid and has been dropped from all major credit reporting agencies. Also, your employee violated FS 559.72 that states when contacting family members you may only verify name and address or contact info for the alleged debtor. Per FS you must have a legal right to collect debt in the State of Florida by being registered. Per FS you shall not use threatening words to include "law suit", "civil suit", or any other type of legal actions towards the alleged debtor. All of these above Florida Statutes have been violated by your companies representative. A complaint has been filed with the Florida District Attorney's office in Tallahassee as well as with the Better Business Bureau-BBB online complaint system.

this # called my daughter at my phone #, i called my daughter and she said this # called her at work. She said she notified the states attorney and was told to ignore this as it is bogas.

I have been receiving calls at work, and my cell phone from these people, threatening me with check fraud etc...when I talked to the office manager and told him pay day loans are illegal in NY state and you can't take me to court and I have also filed a complaint with attorney generals offce and FTC- he continued to yell at me, so I told him "Mr Davis- you have been notified" !! see how they like it! DO NOT PAY THIS JUNK DEBT COLLECTOR ANY MONEY!! Also if you ask for the original loan documents- surprise-surprise they can't supply them! HINT not to pay them nothing!!
