The issue is not about whether you owe money dear Julie. The issue is about following the law and abiding by federal regulations in debt collection. Abusive or coercive conduct should never be condoned or tolerated by any business. Whether that be the business of bottom feeding maggots or the Prince's Palace.

doesnt everyone owe the debts to begin with? so if you dont pay that back isnt it considered stealing money from an agency? ive turned my credit around in the past few years and whether the debt was a month or a few years old i knew i legitimitely owed it, was sent an email for verification and i ended up paying it because that was money i spent that i did owe. when i worked with this company they were very compliant very nice and spoke to me like a human being (unlike others who haven't) and all they did was let me know what could or couldnt happen depending on my choice on paying the debt or not.....all these agencies seem to be doing is their job...call it badgering call it what you will, do they take it to the extremes at times yes, but this is money that is owed that the consumer borrowed and needs to pay back.

I recieved an call from them today on a number I've only had for a month stating they were trying to reach my ex and if they are not contacted back within a certain amout of time that they will persue with filing charges and going to the courts of dekalb county. With that being said I informed them of GEORGIA LAW stating they must contact him in writing of any assumed debt and\or proof of debt. I have yet to recieve any more calls from them today but I said what I had to say once and I will not answer again to repeat myself!!!!!

These jerks have been calling me since January '11. They leave msgs saying that either myself or my attorney "if you have one" (yes they really do say this) need to call them back within 5 business days or my acct will be accelerated. Well, the 5 business days have passed many moons ago. Now they resorted to calling my family members!! They had the nerve to leave messages saying that I'm in trouble and a report is being filed with my county..blah blah blah. As if I'm some criminal or something! How can we get this stopped? I have NO idea what this is about. I've received absolutely nothing in the mail.

Litigation Individual asking for a woman that they thought I was related to in Tennessee. I live in Nebraska never heard of this woman. How he got my cell phone number is beyond me.

They leave repeated messages you need to call back today or else messages and fraudulently say they are calling from Crime Source not Prime Source, which is fraud. Everyone needs to report these calls to the NY Attorney General's office, so they can be shut down and fined out of business. Do not answer or respond to their calls is the best remedy.

got a call from Prime Source, said it was an old debt from HSBC.  My husband was told that they would garnish our wages if we did not pay the debt right away.

THEY BUY UP BLOCKS OF OLD EXPIRED DEBTS FROM VARIOUS SOURCES, AND THEN PRETEND THEY HAVE A "LEGAL RIGHT TO COLLECT THAT DEBT".

GOT A CALL TODAY FROM THEM WHO ARE THEY?

If they call-hang up.. Never give them time to speak, because they are working a scam to try and
rewind the statute of limitations clock, which in most cases has run out on most debts after 3 years.

By speaking with them, they have a phone record of your call, and can re-open an old case by simply lieing to a judge that  " they spoke to you, and you promised to make a payment"..  This is enough legally to re -start the clock, and they can harrass you for 3 more years.
Hang up, or better yet, get call blocking.. It is free on most services, so protect yourself from these maggots.  They need to be stopped, and this has worked for me for years...

Got a message from Matthew Rogers telling me he knows I am a relative of (******* *******) and that he needs to speak with him within 24 hours about a pre-litigation process.  WHATEVER!  I got scammed by one of these "debt collectors" a couple of years ago and not falling for it.  By the way, the person they were looking for was my ex-husband.  They even called our son at college.  These people really irritate me.

Left a message stating, "This message is solely intended for [*****]. This is Dennis Willis calling from the pre-litigation department at Prime Source Capital Management. I'm calling in regards to file number [file number]. It is important you or your attorney return the phone call today at 877-463-1909. This message has been recorded and documented to the case."

This guy left a message that almost sounded threatening. I was told that he has called other people who know me, but are in no way associated with me financially. How is this legal? I am also on a no call list with my number registered private. I know now that the company is Prime Source, but if I didn't know better, it sounded like he was saying Crime Source. He kept throwing in threats that I'd better get a lawyer.

I called them back and asked them to remove my number as they were not looking directly for me but for a family member.  My number is on the do not call list and is private and they still obtained it.  I was furious.

I was called from this number about 2 weeks ago.  It was regarding a 2008 HSBC matter of mine.  I wasnt able to close the account via settlement.  I was just served paperwork to appear in court for a civil proceeding.  I plan on borrowing from my 401K but my lawyer said now that it is a judgement Im going to have to pay the entire balance owed.  My lawyer said if you pay the whole judgement amount at the court proceeding that they usually will not charge you court costs and sometimes it wont be reported on your credit.  Does anyone have any advice on how to get a settlement approved at court or a way to avoid this going on my credit? My credit isnt in the best shape but i certainly dont want a judgement against me.  Thanks
