I went into BoA yesterday to get a lien waiver notarized (free). Bank manager asked about what kind of payroll services used, offered to have thiers call me and cash back business card. They did say they were going call in the next couple days. If I had not been on a hurry to get the waiver scanned and off in email, I might have appreciated the info more.
Just like any company, sales and service have to be done.

Received a call from them today, but I did not answer. After reviewing recent comments here about people claiming to be from B of A calling about accounts people already have, I'm glad I didn't bother.
I don't have ANY kind of an account with B of A.

the guy imposed himself as B of A business department representative
which is not true

As a couple of people have accurately stated, this number is a legitimate Bank of America number. I believe it's primarily used if you have a business account with them.

Bank of America small business calling about setting up a business account for my new LLC I set up a few days ago.

This is a valid BoA number for small business customer service. They called today about changes to their small business economy checking accts. I was suspicious at first but now believe that it is legit but still didn't give any acct info. They didn't ask for anything other than the total number of business checking accts that I have with BoA.
They say that the small business economy checking will be changing to something else and there will be less fees... I'm not sure that I believe the fee thing...
HOWEVER... Any number can be spoofed. Always use caution when talking to anyone about private info.

Got a call, Juan said he was Bank of America and wanted to verify a service charge on my business account, I said how do I know you are from Bank of America, he did not answer my question and just wanted my access code to discuss my account. I told him no way and hung up. I then called BofA to let them know of scam call. They did not seem worried, supposedly they noted it but that was all. BEWARE OF SOMEONE FROM A COMPANY YOU DO BUSINESS WITH SCAMMING YOU.

Have recieved many calls from 877/464-9168. Finally called the number back from a blocked device and they were able to see the number I was calling from. These are some sleezy operators. They won't be calling any more from this number since it has been blocked from my device. I would strongly suggest no one call the number back!

BofA regarding small biz account, but I personally do not like to give any info over the phone from an incoming call so I would recommend calling into BofA yourself if you inquired recently

Said he was from my bank (Bank of America), and wanted to make sure that everything was OK with my accounts, and if I was having any problems with them.
He asked if my accounts were linked, but did not ask for any account numbers to the linked accounts.
It got fishy when he asked for my 3-digit security code on the back of my business VISA credit card. I did NOT give it to him and told him to call another time.
He was really smooth.

Got a call from 877-464-9168, they asked for my father. I asked who they are and what the nature of thier call was (I am POA for my dad, and a signer on his accts). The youg man identifed himself as Bank of America employee and waned to see if we were getting everything out of my dad's Business accounts.
The information was accurate (dispite him not giving an account #). He did not seem phased when I stated I was POA. Nor did he agressively persue getting info out of me.
I do NOT like the fact that they called from a # that says Toll Free Call - that is my First indication that you are a SPAMER. I even told him that.
I was not convinced of his intentions, and I had Zero intentions of changing the accounts my dad has.
As always - use your best common sense on these types of calls.

Identified itself as Bank of America. The caller, who sounded like a non-national, said he was calling on behalf of the Small Business Relations department of BoA. He wanted to discuss details of a recently opened account, but really couldn't identify the person who opened said account.
The called ID said: 800 Service
The number displayed is 877-464-9168. He told us to call him back at (813) 832-0524.
Of course, said the display read 800 Service, I did not answer.

Claimed to be from bank and want to discuss details of account recently opened.
