This caller called me at 9.10 pm.  After the legal deadline.

Keep all of your contacts in writing whether it be via E-MAIL, FAX or U.S. Mail. Keep a paper trail. Have them verify your debt in writing. Along with not answering the calls dont ever give them any info over the phone. If you dont want them to call you anymore register all your phones with NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY at: WWW.DONOTCALL.GOV also you can file a complaint with the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION at: WWW.FTC.GOV you could also go to their website: WWW.ALLIANCEONEINC.COM and contact them via email and send them an E-MAIL or letter via U.S. MAIL to "CEASE COMMUNICATIONS" and they will have no choice but to contact you through the mail. If you've told at least one associate to remove your number from their records and Alliance One continues to call, they are in violation of FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act).  The act of 1978 states that the company in question must remove a number if a 3rd party states the number is incorrect- verbal requests need to be honored.  Next time they call, before you say anything else, advise the associate that you need to speak with a supervisor.  On the account of the person they're trying to reach, there will be documentations of every single call made to your number.  Assuming they're savvy enough, they will also be able to pull up and listen to the actual phone calls where you've advised the associates they're calling the wrong number.  This is one of the definitions of harrassment and they need to know they're in violation.  Also, legal calling hours are from 8am to 9pm the customer's time.  Google FDCPA- you'll get a lot of info on what collectors can and cannot do.  Good luck!

Keep calling my cell number and I am not the person they are looking for-but they keep calling at all hours of the day and night.  I have asked the callers to remove my number and they don't.

Calls many times during the week but does not leave a message. Calling number back it claims to be Alliance One.
