I finally got all my docs together and filed a complaint on April 1, 2013. Possibly this re-started action with the IARDC. Benjamin stood me up for the 341 Bankruptcy hearing (did not even file the papers) and then 2x in Federal Court. I had proof that he never would have thought I had. He told me back in 2009 that he knew Foreclosure Defense. NOT!
Can we find a way to contact each other to do a class-action? He's in HUGE trouble right now.

I just got a letter from ARDC that they will reopen investigation into Benjamin.  They had earlier closed me down.  I sent copies of complaint web sites such as this one.  Maybe that got their attention.

Yes, I too have been scammed by the Benjamin Legal Services.  They have taken $1800 of my money, back in June of 2012, and also was sent all paperwork - Twice - and nothing was ever done.  I also spoke to Jan several times and had lots and lots of email correspondence with her, still NOTHING.  I was able to borrow the funds from my employer and go to another attorney, who amazingly was able to file my case with a matter of hours.  I cannot tell you how ignorant I feel for falling for this scam.  My husband had been out of work and the unemployment had ran out, and the $1800 would have came in handy for us during that time.  It is just ridiculous and mortifying to know they have done this to so many hard working people.

YES this is happening to me as we speak, they keep withdrawing money from my accout and i had to close all my accounts and they wont answer any phone calls, the off site receptionist must seriously be sick of hearing from me, she mysteriously cant ever find anyone to answer a phone call. im so sick about this, i just wanted to get ahead and they have put me back down again. F==ing Jerks, hope they get what is coming to them.

I certainly wished I had read all these issues before they got my money.  I have made 47 calls with no  assistance whatsoever with my issue, 28 calls were made before anyone called me back and that conversation was a joke.  I won't see the $1800.00 again that they have taken from me.  I hope these comments will stop any one else before getting involved with this (so called) firm.  Jan Jurcism is working in one of the offices in CA and is absolutely worthless as well.  I sincerely believe that she cannot read. I had the same thing happen. They recently changed number to 18778003313 and now on top of that they use and answer service that calls its self.....the offsite receptionist. I am going to continue to pursue any legal action I can to nail these criminals.

Just an update. Chris Markt is now running with Benjamin Legal Services you can Google his name too. He's also no good and has nothing going for him but making fast money. Basically he wants in on the Benjamin game. And yes Kevin and Theresa are still in the game they are working with Chris Markt to hide their ways. They have moved in with Nationwide Support Services and are located in Irvine, CA. They still fly from Chicago to Irvine ever other week. Their new number is 877-700-4916. I hope the FBI catches up to them. They're crooks!

Elizabeth, go on-line and pull up the STATE BAR OF CALIFORNIA.  On that website there is a complaint form you need to fill out. When you do that, gather all the receipts, phone call logs and if you have names provide it. Be as specific as you can and send it all in.  Here is there member#116264.  
My complaint was heard and there are now following up on this matter....I have to say it all is doing good.  If you haven't done this yet...do it please and let the know that you will do everything to make sure they pay for their actions.

I can tell you this, I have gotten in the middle of this b***s*** law firm crap and I am going after them full fledge.  The initial attorney's office I started off with was with Kerry Steirgerwalt's and then they gave my personal information to Benjamin Legal Service, who took advantage of me and money and didn't do anything for me except take additional personal documents.  I am fighting this matter and will get back every bit of money that is due to me and I want them all prosectued for their unethical practices.
I understand where you guys are coming from and I hope we are all uniting to fight these crooks but we have to be diligent and patient.

I am going through the same thing where my case went to Benjamin Law and never heard from them again. I made several phone calls but nothing.  Do any of you know if I can actually shut my case so that I have nothing to do with them? or do I have to take another route? I give up on them.

My dad paid Kerry Steigerwaltz Pacific Law Center several thousand dollars to file his bankruptcy & NOTHING was ever done for him. Every time he would call to find out the status of his case they would say the man he needed to speak to was out & he would get a call back. NO RETURN CALLS WERE EVER MADE UNTIL the day they called my dad to there office to sign more papers & it was a trick. The papers he was to sign were to switch his case to Benjamin Legal who was supposed to be the savior since steigerwaltz office "went under". Benjamin legal has done NOTHING to help my dad. They keep giving him the run around. My dad is in a bad place & is filing bankruptcy to save his house (which he has almost lost due to these b*****ds taking his money). I'm very sorry that all of you have gone through the same or almost the same thing as my dad but I'm glad to have found this page so i can take action & try to help my dad. I'm calling my local news channel to report this to the Turko files & then i'm calling the FBI as you have done. How dare these people prey on the vulnerable! They should be ashamed of them self's.

Contacted Lisa Madigans office, the Illinois FBI, the ARDC , the CA and Illinois Bar, the CA Attorney General as well as the California FBI. The case is under control by the San Diego FBI, and the class action suit is headed up by a law firm in CA. I just spoke to Yadira Dickey at the San Diego FBI and she said the case is moving forward against Dean Chandler and J Kevin Benjamin. Chandler has already has his law license revoked and Benjamin is next. The Fed'd seized about $500K so there may be some recourse. F*** these guys...I hope Benjamin jumps off a f****ng bridge.

OMG....he did the same thing to me.  Benjamin's staff attorney Theresa Unkar threatened me too verbally.  She has a nice mouth for someone that should act in a professional manner.  I have contacted everyone in the state of Illinois and nothing.  ARDC in Illinois a joke too.  Look J Kevin Benjamin on that site and he looks like an angel.  Nice offices he has with poor people's money who are just looking to save thier home at these unfortunate times.  He is a liar and a a***ole.  Prick.

Yep, and this POS Kevin Benjamin threatened my family  I once I asked for my money back. I have filed a complaint with Lisa Madigan's office, the Illinois States Attorney, the FBI, the Boone County Sheriff, (after he threatened me) and the ARDC.

You need to add to the story on 1st American Law Center. Dean Chandler?s quiet partner is and has been for months is a Kevin Benjamin of Benjamin Legal out of Chicago. After the raid Benjamin Legal has opened in CA initially using 615 Mission Ave, Oceanside as their address until the office was shut down. But they are actually working out of the offices for Pacific Law Center in La Jolla flipping their PLC old BK clients for Kerry Steigerwaltz?s group to new contracts under Benjamin Legal. Benjamin is using Dean Chandler as his attorney in CA so he can practice law here in the state until he is approved.
Chandler/Benjamin also opened First National Law (look at Chandlers new state bar registry) and his partner is Kevin Benjamin per their Press Release in July (see PR newswire o/a 12th under First National Law). Chandler/Benjamin sold and is still selling another 40+ mods under First National after the raid and are working out of a small office in Carlsbad (look at the state bar registry) while dumping all the old 1st ALC clients and leaving their documents in the abandoned office in Oceanside.
Your story has more because Chandler/Benjamin/Steigerwaltz are all working together to flip the Pacific Law Center clients who have been ripped off by Pacific Law Center. These old clients paid PLC for BK services never rendered now Benjamin Legal is flipping them into new contracts and asking for more money from these poor people. Where is the $2000 PLC first took from them and didn?t perform a BK service? Now they are being asked for more money and PLC is keeping most of the initial funds taken. At the office in La Jolla you will find Chandlers prime right hand men from his mod days who have moved to fresher prey a William Shayman and Dave Tomanio (who states on his Linked In account that he is an expert in Criminal law and DUI but he is not an attorney) both from 1st American Law Center working these clients for more money.
