See my post below.
Good luck.

I called the number on the bill. Be persistent and talk to a supervisor. They tell you that they will credit the account for 4 months and any more you have to appeal to another office. Fax your claim in as a fax is a legal document. Be clear with them; for me it seemed like a good deal, but I have never gotten anything from them so I hope to get my money recredited.
I also called my credit company and because this is a 'membership' they will issue you a new card to your branch within 4-5 working days. Any automatic withdrawals have to be redone (phone, etc.).
Good luck.

Hello, I too got talked into "Deals and Destinations" and am charged $15 monthly....have you have any luck with cancellation? Thank you.
Gary 2011-06-06 21:04:27 Unknown
It happened to me to. I never signed any contract with that number related, but they do charge me every month 15.74 or 15.89.
As the amount is not big, most people even hardly notice that. I just called my bank, they anti-fraud department will issue me a new card. I'm not sure if I can get those mony back or not.

cancelled long time ago, but continued to get charged. Phoned again and they said that they had no record of me calling. Will see what happens this time.

I just called them...got through to a person in about 5 minutes and cancelled the charge. Will wait and see if it shows up on my next bill.

I too have been billed on my Visa. At first I thought it was an extra charge Visa was adding to my statement. Finally I called Visa and was told it had nothing to do with them. I called that company up. Oh they they told me that they cancell my membership and gave me a cancellation number. Now I have to fax a letter to the Attention: Executive Support. The phone number they have gave me is always busy no matter what time I call. I called this company again and now they gave me a different phone number and again it's always busy. I will be dealing with the resolution Centre threw my Visa Company. I believe that this is indeed a scam.

if you call this number and explain they will cancel it immediately then they will say that they are able to only credit you for 4 months worth and that they are able to dend proof of signup - i am now waiting on that proof and it better be a recording of me signing up or I will be contacting the police better business bureau and Mp , which i suspect i will be doin as I always refuse these things and I know I didn't signup . In order to receive the full amount back I need to fax them with a request...wish me luck lol

After making a reservation at a Days Inn I too was transferred to "Deals and Destinations". After listening to the never seemed to end sales pitch I told them that I would like to read this info on their web site before making a decison over the phone. They told me the site was under onstruction and won't be available until the New Year. Give me a break!!! Don't deal with this kind of business........

It's from Deals and Destinations, they give discounts/reimbursements on travel items. I got hassled to sign up for it when I booked a hotel room over the phone. Stupidly, I thought I would check it out and signed up for it, got a whole $4 discount on a hotel room and was later billed $15. I called the number on my credit card bill immediately and cancelled it, they didn't give me any problems (other than more sales pitches). It doesn't seem to be a scam or fraud, at least in my case, it's just like any other insurance, etc. where you sign up for a few months free, then forget about it and they start billing you for it. It was a small amount and barely noticeable on my bill so it took about a month to notice it. I don't normally sign up for anything "free" because I know that's what will happen, but I guess I let my guard down this time!

I have been getting billed for this for a long time now. I thought it was some kind of insurance. those scammers have probably got over $200 from me. And, I never even responded to the call!
Dave Roberts 2011-06-06 21:04:27 Unknown
Yes, it is a scam.
They dont have a web site, cant be traced that way.
They issue no information about their services.
When called they admit they make their money on the service fee they charge monthly.
They are not making money on reservations?????
The companies they get their business from should be exposed as they must be doing it to get a kick back.
Someone said they were linked to Deals and Destinations when booking with Days Inn... well everyone, avoid Days Inn..
I got caught after booking a rental car through Travelocity...
This is so silly that fees greater than service benefits are allowed to continue and not be shut down as a fraud.

This number was listed on my cc bill for a few months.
They did not call me.
I believe it was through a link on the Travelocity site that offered $40 free gas if I clicked on the link and followed the instructions.
I never completed the form and certainly did not give out my cc #.
I can only assume that Travelocity allowed them directly or default by lack of proper controls access to my cc# and that is how the fraud occurred.

Was caught by this too, $15.74 monthly bill because of a sales pitch while booking a motel in March 2009. I thought I cancelled it at the time for only $1, but am trying to cancel again now, hopefully successfully. Credit Card kindly deducting for l month, but I am stuck for the rest so, beware....

I signed up for this as well and then forgot about it until it showed up on my credit card. Luckily I think they only charged me for one month. I just called the number that was on my bill and told them to cancel it immediately. They didn't give me much of a hard time (other than another sales pitch). I didn't bother calling my bank since it was only one charge and it's my own fault...it doesn't seem to be fraud or a scam, I remember agreeing to it. I usually know better than to sign up for any "free trials" because I will forget about it and they always just start billing you unknowningly, I think that is how they make most of their money. I'm glad RBC was so good about reversing the charges though, I have always had good service there as well.
Lorrie 2008-03-19 23:45:39 Unknown
I just noticed the same charges on my statement. I'm embarrassed to say I looked back through my old statements and have been charged each month since May 2007. I phoned the number and told them I wanted it cancelled. I don't remember signing up for any travel deal like they say I did. I was offered next month free and $70 in free gas. I told them I wanted no part of their offer and to cancel me immediately. After another try to keep me on they finally agreed to cancel me and gave me the cancellation number. Tomorrow I'm going to call my bank and see if I can get the charges reversed. I doubt I'll be able to seeing as it has been going on so long and I only now noticed it. Let this be a lesson to everyone, check your statements carefully.

Follow up to my above post:
I just called the Royal Bank Visa centre and they are going to deal with these fraudulent charges and they are sending me a new visa card. I was impressed with the service.

I posting this in case it might be of use to someone. This number didn't call me, but it belongs to a group called "Deals & Destinations". Their 877 number appears on my MasterCard statement with a charge that I didn't recall. When I called to investigate, they reminded me of a deal I'd been offered months ago when I thought I was calling a legitimate hotel chain's reservation line. The deal was $40 in free gas. Meanwhile, they've been charging $15.89/month to my MasterCard with nothing else in return. The free gas comes in the form of four ten dollar coupons, only valid on certain dates, that must be mailed in with receipts attached. I tried to Google the company, but was not able to find it. I should have known better than to accept anything that was "free".
