Who are the Defendants in your case please. It would seem that the city i live in Valencia,CA has lots of these scam companies for some reason. I am compiling a list of known info about these scum and perhaps I can add something from your experiences.

What I don't understand is how come the USPS hasn't gotten involved.  When a scam is sent through the mail is this not mail fraud...a felony???

I was looking for a condo in Palm Springs. There are thousand of them (I grew up there). I was told none were available. I asked the "travel expert" on the phone if she could look in surrounding areas. She came back with Lake Tahoe! I said: Do you know where Lake Tahoe is? She said she did not. I told her it was hours and hours away from Palm Springs. I then asked to speak to her supervisor. No one was available. I left a message and no one called me back.

I have now called the office in Valencia and have spoken with Assita who told me Mark or Freddy would get back to me. (It's the same story all over the web--people get referred to Assista, Mark or Freddy--and then they never hear from them.

I am a journalist. I would like at least some of my money back, or else, I will get in touch with friends and editors at the Los Angeles Times to expose this scam.

stephanie,
your are one of the lucky people to deal with them. we never had luck using them. lost 5 k to be a member of this travel service. which is very unfortunate. last time  i asked if someone could help us find a hotel, no one called us back. since then we had travelled to europe few times and never used them. i wish there would be a class action lawsuit against them.

I got a post from this company named worldwide travel and set up an appointment. When I read this post and comments I'm almost to cancel. The guy explained to me and I gave them chances. We went with my husband and we enjoyed everything. We are now set to go on a cruise this march. Thank you ! Lesson learn, don't believe to what you read unless you prove it to yourself.

I just recently got offered a job with worldwide travel. I know there are complaints about the companies services but I'm not concerned about that. I have been in sales for a number of years now and that is just how sales go. I am looking for someone to give me their personal experience as a sales associate for the company. How much money did you make monthly and was it consistent? If I take this job I need to know that I can provide for my house and home. With the way the job market is today i can't be too careful.

Just got my psot card...took the bait then looked online...thank you all for the heads-up! The poor economy has made the gift of travel an extravagance but I'm no fool!....Just called back and spoke to "Gary" ...when I told him to remove me from his list he beacme very irrate and tried to fast talk me....I told him, thanks but it's a really crappy thing to do to try to scam hard working people out of what they have left!  Keep posting...maybe we will get them shut down!

This company World Wide also goes by other alias's aka: Travel Center..is a complete fraud.  They get you there for a presentation then they will do the following:  try to get money up front for a very special holiday at a very reduced price   or   have you pay for your free cruise taxes and charges . or buy a 4 week deal in some gret vacation area ..
but the when you leave the trip vouchers aren't acceptable by any cruise line, the special holiday vacation you paid for well the reservations are lost.. and the four weeks vacation a year doesn't happen because there is no location that accepts you .. and you do not get your money back.. when ppl write and say its a great deal or a good company those entries are made by pp involved in the scam or buy complete idiots...   If they are legit where is there office ?  why aren't they listed in any travel service ? why don't any of the cruise lines know them or accept their vouchers ? BEWARE of free trips ...

This is a total scam everyone ! This company WorldWide  Travel used to be named Del Rey Travel when my wife & I attended their presentation. The first flag went up when the front mans suit was 3 sizes too big & his hair had not been washed in a week.
The sell is to a vacation club with reduced prices, initial buy in starts at 8k, withing 15 minutes it's under 3k. We left with the promise of "Free Cruise", however you have to pay more money for the free cruise than just through AAA ??
I looked them up on line and the trail begins. I cannot believe that someone from one of LA's news channels has not gone undercover on these guys. Or that no one has gone back & really caused a scene.

i looked up carnival cruise lines to see what cruise leaves from L A and goes to Freeport and St Thomas. the answer, none. to go to the Caribbean islands you need to leave from the east coast. several ports take you to the islands. most are either ft lauderdale, pt. canaveral and miami beach. so that is a flag right there. my mom said, and i imagine many of your moms said..there is no such thing as a free lunch... bunch of other saying apply here too..but i wont bore you. i havent called the number on the card, but thought i would add my two cents here too.

Got a postcard w/ same phone number & postal code. Called them & they "sounded legit" but I have not been scammed B4 so maybe I am gullible.  Said they are with Worldwide Travel in Valencia, Ca.  They have a website that is Worldwide_Travelservice.com and the number listed on the website is 661-255-5300.  They are having a 90 minute presentation where they said U will leave with the 2 free cruise certificates & U need to show U have  a credit card but U can cover the numbers. They said they do discount travel & are trying to get new clients. They said they do offer memberships but they are not required to get the free cruise for 2 (out of L.A. to Freeport,Bahamas and St. Thomas.)  They said U are required to pay only taxes & port fees. The address they said they are at is 25124 Springfield Ct., #170, Valencia, CA 91355

This was a number to call on a post card received today.  Has a postal permit 3950.  If you look that permit up on google it will lead to this web site.  Seems they want to give me a free cruise if I will only call them.  The card is from a no name company.  I have yet to get something for nothing so I won't waist my time calling.  Do you smell a scam??????  Can you say "gotya"?????
