Received a call from "Ben Johnson" from Northview Services for my ex-husband.  Ben claims I'm a reference for my ex (that's highly unlikely) and that it's imperative that he speak with my ex since he's involved in a pending legal matter.  Kept referring to my ex as "she" when he's clearly a man.  Wanted a call back at 1-877-495-8936 ext 501.

I may not care much for my ex but I'm not gonna serve him up to the debt collecting imposter either.

Funny though that all the accts they call about are on you credit reports through trans union as purchased by other lender. crazy how in your original contacts it stated even if that happened you owed the bill in full plus all intrest and fees......should have read the fine print or not applied for the cards at all if your mad people are calling you for real money you owe and have owed for over 3 years.

Sounds like an angry employee or owner talking. There is a difference between collecting on a debt and threatening legal action when there is no intention of pursuing on a legal basis. All your company needs is ethics and common sense practices instead of breaking laws to obtain payment. That is why you are a fraud.

Your just as ignorant as the people your speaking about. I dont believe there should be a statute of limitations. If you owe a debt you should pay it. You yourself referred to the people your defending as debtors. The only reason people are angry about people calling them for money is because when they borrowed they never had the means of paying it back in the first place. Yes there are people out there who actually do have a hardship but as simple as it is to save a dollar a day they even could of payed their debt. I dont feel bad for people who dont care about money that they owe and when it is tried to be collected on the claim it's harrassment. That is ignorant and I hope everyone who does that gets sued and are forced to pay it back so they realize how ignorant they really are. Dont live outside your means and there wouldnt be a problem. You cant expect to borrow something like money off of a credit card without paying it back.

My father-in-law just got a call from a John Ryan from this number, he said I must call him back immediately or else?!! Isn't threatening against the law?

This person keeps calling me talking about im going to get sued. i told him i looked his number up on the net and told him he was a fake and to stop calling me then he called me right back i wish this dude would just get a life

It is a bill collector. I have run in to a few issues with these people. Actually there is alot going on at the moment with them, i cant really go any further then that. We started getting calls from them starting on 11-17-10. Many a day. This situation has been resolved, yet they persist, still trying to recieve what clearly is not theres and is another account holder.  Sort of like a go between. You can cut them out all together by doing a bit of research. I did and even though this is a dead issue, well, they will not quit. Even when trying to give them the information.. Have names and numbers however i do not wish to get in to any kind of trouble for saying something wrong.

This debt that i speak of is not mine, as it is some one else, and i have been speaking on her behalf.

Steve Donatello called and ask for my sister. I told him this was not her number and he said she's being sued by another company and I could be sued as well being that she's my sister! I told him that I would get a lawyer and he said that won't do you any good. So I just Hung up on him! It has to be a joke right?

Just received a call from these people, when I told them I haqd never heard of the person they were looking for, "Mark Morgan" responded with..You are an uneducated, ignorant b****. They gave the name LLC or Lcc...spoke too fast, then 10 seconds later called back from this number...716-242-7533, but also refused to give and address

Ben Johnson just called me asking for my x-husband.  I think it was legitamate as he never paid his bills.  Nice enough man, said he would not call me again after I explained to him that I never communicate with my x.

You're not fooling anyone, Joe.  We are receiving calls from this number -- Steve Donatello -- they are Northview Recovery, a debt collection agency in New York.   They have numerous complaints, it seems, as you can tell from this site.
I understand they buy up old debt for pennies on the dollar and then try to collect it.  In many instances the statute of limitations has run out on these debts and the debtors are no longer legally obligated to pay.  Their job is to make you think you are still obligated and get you to pay -- which starts the clock all over again on the statute of limitations.  Make sure you know what the statute of limitations is for your own state and ignore this number.

Received calls from this number, female recorded voice saying message is for... please contact our office, which was just as non-understandable as the person name the message was for, information involving your name and SSN. They even give a case#, and say it really fast and only once. they provide hours of their business, but don't provide a call back number.

We received the same call, i then called the attorney general and there office said that you should ask for an address, if they don't give it it is a ploy to get information and you should call consumer protection advocacy in your state.

Hey "Joe", how long have you been working for "Northview?"  This site is for consumers with legitimate claims.  Your phony posting is not going to motivate anyone to pay you scammers!

Just got a call from Steve Donatello, looking for my stepsister. He wasn't too bad of an actor, we had a laugh about the Ninja Turtles reference. I won't be telling her to call him, though.

There are so many debt collector scams going on nowadays that people have a hard time distinguishing between real and fakes.
