They have been calling my home number 3 to 4 times a day with the same robo message.  I attempted twice to call back then figured it was some sort of scam.

When I called them back and said my number is unlisted and they should not be calling if they are saying they are looking for someone else; the woman got threatening about how they can look up numbers and who they belong to; and I said they you are saying you know you should not be calling it and she had said they had removed it because it was for mary lopez and she said have a great day and hung up on me!!!!!!!!

I called them back today after they left a message with the 877 number and a7135667100 number.  They said the call was from a Miss Lopez for Mary Cruise or Mary Cruze;  This happened last year too.  I am NOT Mary Cruise.  Also, my phone number is unlisted.  They said they would tell Miss Lopez it was a mistake.... Also, I gave them nothing but my phone number for information which they obviously had already called.  If they call again, I am going to ask them to contact me by mail and that my unlisted number is in their posession and if they cannot correctly identify me by name and address they are scammers...and of course be careful to give them no information.  I think I am going to call them back again and notify them they are to immediately remove my unlisted phone number from their records especially in the light of the fact that they have told me they are looking for someone other than me.

This is 100% a scam. I have no debt at all - and why they called my cell phone without asking for me by name is odd. The FTC will investigate them.

I am in the same situation. I have never gotten a call like this one and I don't have any unpaid bills nor do I even have a mortgage anymore - and they left me this number for "either [me] or [my] attorney to contact" in order to "handle a very important business matter." It is unnerving to get this kind of a call; however, they were not able to ask for me by name. If they do not ask for you by name, they are definitely a scam. I DO want to report them and I will be looking for places to do that.

A voice message was let from that # - at the Educational Government Institution: Community College. Therefore, I would like to let you all know that those calls are scams for sure.  Simply ignore those or report with the police.

They called again and left a message saying she had very important information for me and for me to return her call to 1-877-498-5600 ext 3445. She called me from 713-481-9947, when I tried to call back the number she called me from it just rang and no one ever answered, if I call the 877 number and ask to speak to a supervisor they just transfer me back to Lynda Moore. How do I get them to stop calling me? I already paid the debt with another collector, but I am having a hard time finding proof of it.

Get a call from this number every week, asking me to please call Kristal, or have my lawyer contact her. I called several times and only get voice-mail or the person is not in.

The guy left a message on my cell phone and said he was Mr. Williams and he said it was an urgent message about a legel matter filed against me,and cannot stress the urgency enough,I smell bull!

Was contacted by a very unprofessional lady telling me papers were being filed against me (whatever that means) and that I needed to call and give her my attorney information "or whatever" (I'd still like to know what "or whatever" means).  Like I said, very unprofessional.  She told me a story about a lady who owed less than me who was sued and went to jail.  When asked if I was going to be served a warrant, she "couldn't give me that ifnormation", like I don't have a right to know if I am going to be served a warrant.  Anyways, I was threatened with being sued and going to jail.  Thing is, I never heard form these people before today and she even verified this when I spoke to her.  She said no one had ever contaced me, yet this company is ready to go through with legal proceedings.  This type of thing should be illegal.

Call and I took the message and she gave my ssn in the message.

Ok so this woman, I forget her name, calls me talking about legal action and blah blah. So of course I call back and she's telling Bally's is entering in "legal action" against me, but they will settle with me for 570 dollars, fine whatever I do owe Ballys money, the only problem I have is that I work part time at a day care so I make between 180 and 300 twice  month,  which I explained and she said ok no problem you can make small payments until you pay it off. This was all fine and good until she wanted my routing # to my bank, now number one i dont just have the number on hand and two I wanted to check it out before basically giving strangers complete access to my account. So I told her I'd call her back and she snorted, wow real proffesional, also they described themselves as a law office. When they are obviously a collection agency. I havent called her back because I'm going to try and settle this with Ballys outright.

its Maximum Recovery based in Houston TX. they are  scam collection agency that uses scare tactics to get you to pay them. they have copies of checks they get from convenience stores but they never pay the store owners their money. they do not buy the checks from the stores. they fool the store owners into believing that they will collect the money for them and they will pay them back thousands of dollars.

there is a statue of limitations in TX of 4 years. anything over that amount and they cannot seek legal action against you. they can call you all they want to collect but they cannot sue you. they cannot legally tell you they will seek legal action if they do not ever intend to. Most will tell you they work for a lawyer or a private investigator. that is BS. They also must be bonded in the state of texas. most of these are small businesses run by an individual that scam you and the hot check owner. you may have a hot check out but if its after 4 years there is nothing they can do. if it is within 4 years you should find out the check number because they will not tell you where the check was written to. They hold back this info because they dont want you to pay the store they want you to pay them! If you do have a hot check, pay the store where it was issued because those scammers will not pay the store and you will still be liable for it if it is within 4 years. that store can still take the checks to the court and file on you. in Houston you get arrested first then you make arrangements to pay the check back where as other counties may just send you a letter or serve you with papers.

I just got a call from a Martenez saying she had some documents that could become a legal matter and to call back. When I tried to call the 877-498-5600 ext 3406 I got a voice mail saying she was not available. I have a good credit rating and do not owe anyone money. I pay my credit cards in full each month to avoid interest.

i am only posting this because i am sure the MRSI looks at these posts. you made a very big mistake by calling my family members and harrasing them. you just so happen to call a cop twice the second time harrasing his wife. have fun with the mo. state attorney generals office and the F.T.C. haha

i just received a call from 713-481-9947 asking for my mom. I asked and they said it was an urgent legal matter. they left a number 877-498-5600 Ext. 3421 The guys name was Señor Cruz. Sounds fishy. Thats when I googled the 877 number.

I receive a call today # 718 569 8697 the fu###r the callme hi use the name officer (prince allan) su###r hi tried to intimidate me whit take me to court next Monday o I have to pay them today  hi want me send a fax whit may information plus may debit card info. If they got may info way they ask me to send everything again including may card info and the fax # hi give me  is (206) 350 6055 o 666 7345  and this account was from ballys to. They can go a hell.

a message was left for me at work, by this number with an account number and an extension to call. i do not own a credit card so how can i have debt? i finally reached someone and they tried to claim that i owe several hundred dollars to ballys. i have never stepped foot in a ballys nor do i choose to ever. i went off on the guy and he hung up on me. law states information about account numbers can only be left solely threw the person being contacted. they claim they have all my information and wants me to tell them its mine. this is fraud and do not leave them with any information ever

the number 877-498-5600 is calling my co-workers and leaving messages like I need to call them back or my attorney regarding a legal issue.  They need to stop contacting my co-workers or me at my place of employment.  If they have legal issues, then they need to contact me through the US Mail.

I got a call from this number as well, a guy said his name was Bruce Wayne (what a joke!) and that I needed to call back about a possible litigation.  He gave a case file number.  I am not calling them back after what all these others have said.  If they are legit, which it sounds like they're not, they would file a judgement.  Also, any legit place should have sent out some sort of letter to you as well.  said to call back 877-498-5600 x 3415.

Received a voicemail from Mrs. Reyes 877-498-5600x3417.  She was looking for someone who does even live here and this is my business number.  I called back, entered her extension and a gentlemen answered.  He was very polite.  I advised this number is incorrect and he apologized, telling me it would be taken out of the system.

I have been receiving calls from the 713 area code number w/o a voice message. Then today I received a voice message from the 877-498-5600  x 3418 number leaving me a case number & lawyers name to call back within 48 hrs. I read your Post and have suspected it was something to do with that damn Bally's that has continuously harrassed me to renew and screwed up my acct. in the past.

Legal Action = Civil Judgement....LMAO They can't lock you up over a civil judgement.
