Got a text from 646-833-3646 to call 877-503-8367 about a receptionist jib today at 10:49a.m. Why would they not call? Crazy.

The only application I have sent via e-mail was to an eagletools.net. e-mail address.
Stupid me for thinking legit companies using first name with their e-mail accounts were ok to apply to.

I also received a txt from 704-936-6232,
Same info as above, telling me they received my application for a general position.
Called they from a different number, a man refused to answer any questions I had, would not give any details, and claimed to have no idea why I was receiving text messages.

I also received an unsolicited text message from 704-936-6232. It said

Hi, Kimberly, I just reviewed your application for the Receptionist position you applied for. Please call me at 888-907-4887. Yup another bogus phising scheme!!!!

I received an unsolicited text message from 704-936-6232. It said

"Hi ******, I just reviewed your application for the Assistant position you applied for. Please call me at 888-907-0378"

I Googled the originating phone number and found these postings.

I'm not even going to bother calling them. Even if they were (which I know they are not) a legitimate potential employer, I have no interest in working for anyone that communications with potential employees via text message.

They sent me a text about a secretarial position that they said I had applied for.  The number it originated from was 404-295-1676 asking me to call 877-503-8367.  I did call the 877 number and they said they were an employee screening service and asked it if was a good time to talk, which it wasn't.  They said they would need about" 25 minutes to verify the information that was already on my resume".  That sounded sort of screwy, but I was in the middle of running errands and didn't think too much about it.  Then they told me that they would be there until 8:00 p.m.

This is when I got suspicious.  What employee screening service is working until 8:00 pm the week of Christmas?  Why would they need to verify info they already had?  Started smelling fishy to me, so Googled the number and saw your entries.  Thank you for your posts, I will not be calling these people back.

I just rec'd a text from 3122889024 stating

"Hi valerie, I just reviewed your application for the Admin position you applied for. Please call me at 877-503-9367"


yeah right....like im going to fall for that...

I got a text from them (704-936-62320), called them back (877-503-8367), and they said they are an employer-screening service.  I've been applying for jobs, but when the screening service calls and refuses to tell me anything other than that the potential employer is within 25 miles of my zip code but wishes to remain anonymous, I hang up.  I'm betting they're just phishing for personal information and generating leads by posting bogus help-wanted ads on craigslist.  Employees beware.

Weird I just got a text from a 310 number saying to call about a job... Seriously?? Who does that?? Text a potential employee via text.. Lmbo.. Hilarious.
