Homeinsurance.com is the 61st fastest growing company in America and the largest independent agent in the states. They get leads from companies like netquote who sells information you idiota put in online trying to win an ipod  plane tickets or a gift card. They aren't wanting to waste there time either so if u say not interested they don't call anymore if u keep not answering they look at you as potential business still. Other companies might still call since they have no association with HI.com. i know this is stupid of me to try to explain this to people who think they actually have won something on the internet or people who put in those phone numbers online and don't expect a call. Theresa a tip ppl if u don't want to be called don't put Ur number online and if they do call and Ur not interested say so people who work on sales aren't going to waste time with dumbass's like you who aren't going to buy so stop thinking Ur special and go fill out another survey so u can win that new riposte u stupid pricks

Hey dumbass i work there and actually all you had to do was pick up once and say Ur not interested and that would be the last call. The company called netquote is how they get their leads and it goes to several companies dumbass learn the facts before you rage on the internet like a dumbass

Once you (or someone else) put your number online, the DNC goes out the window.  Putting your phone number online says you're giving permission for people to call you.  Maybe you just pissed someone off and they wanted your phone to blow up all day.  Maybe you should be nicer to people.

Someone who does not like you put YOUR information in and you are receiving calls from several different companies.  Just politely tell them you are not interested and move on with your life.

I DID NOT go to their website! I never have! They continue to call even though I've told them FOUR TIMES NOW to STOP calling. This number is a cell phone for an emergency service. The voice mail msg tells people that and to not leave a msg. If it's an emergency, they're supposed to hang up and call 911. If it's not an emergency, they have no business calling that number.  Guess what? They leave msgs anyway. That company buys phone number lists and SPAMS people. I don't care how many fake posters here claim they're nice on the phone or save you money, they will NEVER get my business because of their sketchy practices. I warned the last person that they would get reported for tying up an emergency line and she just laughed and hung up. Really nice people they've got working for them.

There are several different reasons you may be getting calls from this number.

1) You went straight to their website Homeinsurance.com and filled out information about your home expecting an instant quote.... FYI Insurance doesn't work that way, a lisenced agent in your state has to write your policy, you can't write it and rate yourself.  No where in the US can you do this.

2) You went on a website called NetQuote or any other website bc you were curious about insurance, any kind of insurance, health, life, home, auto, or even refinancing and home valuations... you filled out information ie. your phone number, that informaton gets sent straight to companies such as Homeinsurance.com where licensed agents are waiting for your information to come through

3) You were told you could WIN a laptop or a cruise by filling out a survey or playing some game etc.  You put in your information and it gets sent to this company

4) Someone put in ficticious information and put a random number in and it turns out to be yours.

Look people there are many different reasons why you might be getting a call from this number, don't be mean, they are smart educated professionals doing their jobs.

Just got my first ever phone call, didn't answer but immediately googled the number and found this page.  I didn't sign up for ANYTHING on the internet, or anywhere else for that matter.  Luckily I figured out how to automatically send numbers I don't want to talk to straight to my voicemail, so my phone never rings and unless they leave a message, I never even know they called.....that is exactly where this number is now going.

They called my cell phone yesterday at 6:45 in the morning and left a voicemail (I was sleeping).  I called back and left a message telling them to remove my number from their call list.  They called again this morning at 7:50, so I called back and spoke to Philip. He insisted they don't make cold calls, and said that my number was submitted through an online system.  He said sometimes people wanting to get an online quote will enter a random phone number to avoid being hassled later.  We determined however that in my case the man who was looking for insurance quotes had typed his phone number wrong (he was off by one digit).

Philip said he would put my number on their do-not-call list, and that they take things like this very seriously. I thanked him, and hung up.

They called again an hour and half later trying to sell me insurance.  I went off on the poor girl before she could finish her sales pitch.  Time to file a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry...

they called me at least once a day for several days, which i did not pick up. they left messages telling me this is their response to me filling out a form online asking for a home insurance quote. (which i definitely didnt, i think my smart phone has been hacked) i finally answered because the same number called so many times and told them not to call me again. and sure enough they call me again five hours later and i tell them STOP CALLING ME. the guy was like, well, uh, it was probably some other company. but it was the same number that called me... so annoying!

p.s. for ppl who actually WANT insurance, a friend of mine has applied for home insurance quotes online for serious, and all the correspondence was via email and extremely professional. ie NOT these guys.

Call was from an insurance agent in response to my on-line inquiry.  Extremely professional agent.  I ended up purchasing new homeowners insurance (What I was inquiring about.) as well as auto and umbrella.  Overall, saved about $1800 per year.  Couldn't be happier with the service.

I hadn't even finished filling out the internet information before I started getting "Saw you were interested" calls!  I don't answer my home phone anymore, so not so much infuriating as annoying to have the phone ringing all the time.. The one insurance call I got because of the online request that actually came from a human, who left me a message and everything,  MIGHT just get a call back!  But I hate when the telemarketers call and then don't leave any message... at least I could decide if I wanted to talk to them while I was screening the call!

Why on earth would someone put their telephone number online and not expect to be called? Rediculous. HomeInsurance.com saved me a ton of money and the agent a spoke with was very nice, informative, and professional.  Don't put your telephone number online if you don't want their services, I am sure they would rather not waste their time as well! Sheesh.

I have gotten 7 calls this morning in the last 30 minutes, each one from someone different and asking for different names (not me, obviously!) in answer to my supposed request for home insurance. Even if I had requested it, wouldn't it be enough for ONE person to call me back? It's seriously p!ssing me off.
