Just got my second phone call regarding voting over the phone, once again I declined for two reasons, 1st I mailed the original proxy back when I received it. 2nd I am not sure this is legal or on the up and up. also wonder if they convince people to verbally vote does that nullify the written proxy sent in? All a bit fishy to me. I like the fund and it's performance but these shenanigans make me wonder just whats going on

I received the letter as well and find it very misleading and manipulative of Yackman to not state in the letter the actual issue for which they need us to reply.  I hope they read these remarks and act more responibly in the future.

Thanks Sema for the information.  I should have read your comment first.  I wouldn't vote over the phone either.  Will they say who they are considering selling out to ?

I received the same letter.  I am sure it is a scam.  But it is scary that they know we own an IRA w/ Yacktman Funds.

they are trying to get you to vote your shares. if you have ignored the proxy letters or your broker has not forwarded, you will get this letter marked "urgent".

if you do not wish to vote, disregard

The letter from Yacktman is legitimate.  They need at least 51% of their shareholders to vote "yes" in order to be acquired by another company.  They wrote to everyone who held shares and had not yet voted their proxies.  When I called them, they tried to get me to vote over the phone "the way the board advises" but I told them I would look at the proxy they had emailed me and certainly would not vote over the phone.  The proxy shows me no way in which their selling out would help shareholders, though I'm sure it makes the board members a lot of money, so I voted "no."  I suspect they will get the votes anyway, so now I need to consider whether I want to keep my shares or not.

also received letter with highlighted (it is imperative that we hear from you on this matter) re: yacktman funds.   I do not think I had received a proxy.   I like to know what I am voting for and whom.   I also want the freedom to decline with out harrassment.  I am very suspicious and wonder what their agenda is.

I also received the letter and called the number....I found it alarming to get the letter and irritating when I called and found out it was on a proxy vote.  I actually voted but after felt quite used as I don't ordinarily just "vote with the board" without reading the material.  I won't be fooled by this again.

Yacktman hired a 3rd party to call to offer proxy by phone rather than by mail.  Legit, but seemed very suspect and is quite annoying.

I also got a letter and I called this number.  It regarded the Proxy Ballot which I had not submitted.

Have received many calls from this number which I don't answer. Just got a letter claiming to be from Yacktman Funds requesting I call the number "regarding a very important matter on a fund"! Suspect it is a SCAM
