Received call from Elliza McKilley............. LocalInternet.com.  Offering "free month trial" to view internet listing service.  Tried to bail cause I didn't trust this... they put me on with a supervisor who assured me this was a free trial.  Gave this #1-877-549-0502 if I had any questions.  I'm suppose to get info in the mail regarding service........ haven't seen anything.

I am certainly convinced, you have made it perfectly clear that ILLITERACY SELLS!

How big are your clients, 300 pounds or are they actually morbidly obese?

Still trying to run your filthy scam here (err I mean "advertise"), but it's a self-parody now LOL and pretty damn funny!

This service seems shady.  I've been trying to get rid of it since they called me.  It seemed like a good deal.  They wouldn't really confirm that I would be charged after the free month over the phone, only when I verified.  About 2 minutes after getting off the phone I get a call about someone seeing my business.  Same accent and same background noise.  It was DEFINITELY FROM THEM.  Saying they saw me through the listing.  Ok..so you try and fake call me...no problem...i'll just cancel.  I call directly back..."We care closed."  Ok...now I know you are shady.  Called today.  "We cannot answer the phone."  hmmmmmm....needless to say if I don't get a call back I will be bringing this matter to court if they think they can bill me!

On 3/19/09, i received a call from a Tanya Lopez for local...listings.com (can't remember the entire URL) to verify my new business information for their "free" premium business online listing. she mentioned that after the first month trial it would cost me "only" $49.50/mo to continue the listing and tried to get me to agree to this by having my statements recorded in a special question and answer recording session. i refused immediately and then she went kind of wild and tried to pressure me into it and i kept saying no and stated loudly that i do not agree to this recording session and that i will not pay for any listings... Tanya finally gave up and hung up. what a bunch of freaks! i found this site by googling her number: 877-549-0502. also posted this at Caller Complaints.

got a call from someone from Local.com. Never got clear instructions on how they billed until the very end when they put me on record stating my information BUT I REFUSED to agree to the service on record and hung up when their 'supervisor' who was obviously the same person using a different voice had picked up the phone. Called my phone servicer right afterwards and was told that they COULD still bill me even though I never agreed on record and that I would have to call into the service number listed on my bill. Has anyone dealt with this problem at the point of having to deal with the number listed on the bill? if so, how can you deal with this most efficiently?

Calling you "Losers" is giving you too much credit. You are con artists trying to trick people into having a service they don't need by charging their phone bill without realizing they somehow authorized you to bill them that way. You waste our time trying to "confimr our information for a free service" then try and rip us off. You keep calling even after we say no with the hopes you speak to someone different who will say "OKAY?"

On 2-27-09, I received a call from a person who identified herself as "Isobel employee ID number 5003".  The call was from an international number "+61382566799"  I was told if I had questions to call 877-549-0502. After being told I was to receive a free months listing (in "gold"; not "blue"), I could then pay for additional months if I didn't like it.  I was asked for my business website address and email address.  The person was very evasive and assertive.  I hung-up before she stopped talking or asked for a credit card number.  Same pitch about being on a top search engine.  Her accent was difficult for me to understand what she was saying.  www.promotelocalbusiness.com seems to be a part of VOLUSION, per google search

We have been receiving calls for over a month. They indentify themselves as the internet yellow page company requesting to verify business information. I tell them I need a phone number to call back as the decision maker is out of the office. They gave me 877-549-0502 number to call back. They do not stop calling. I have filed compliant with AG. Everytime they call, I tell them to mail information to the office for verification as we do not release company information over the phone anymore. They hang up..... Losers

This person was from Local.com.  They are "giving" away one month of directory listing for your internet business (serving your area) and then want to charge $49.00 a month for the service after that. This number was given to me if there where any questions.  I bailed out of the "freebie" as it didn't go smooth and I felt that I was going to be be tricked into giving information (like a credit card number) that I didn't want to give.  I stated I was not interested in this and then hung up.  I then called back the number and got the general switch board for this company, asking me to key in my parties number.  Again I hung up and ran this check, bringing me to this site.
